It's an SEC Country--Alabama article on Lakia Henry. Overall, what it says it bodes pretty well for Tennessee being able to hang on to Henry.

Neyland Stadium is due for some updating. Otherwise, Tennessee does have very nice facilities.

Ok dude, I understand that Neyland stadium desperately needs a facelift and yes, they need to fix the seats, but as far as the rest of the facilities go, we're top 5 in the country.
God damn right we have a juice bar next a barbershop across our hydrotherapy center which is next to our cryotherapy chamber.

I hope we start to push for Diabete but I doubt the numbers would allow it. I would love to get Dean, Harris and Diabete but you have to wait on Thibodeaux and Latu might be higher on the board than Diabete.
Something I find crazy about this class and how good it is overall is there is a pretty good chance we won't have a recruit from Florida this year. Unless Sanders jumps back on board or Nolan Smith flips we may not need anyone else. Doesn't seem like anyone outside of those 2 are priorities right now. Obviously that can change but to think we could have our best class ever and not tap into one of the top 3 talent producing states that sits right next door would be impressive. All 4 of our decommits this year are Florida based kids. Of course at the end we will probably end up with 5.
The only other time we didn't have a Florida recruit under Saban was 2010.

I don't think Noland Smith (from Savannah, GA) will flip, but I do think we'll land Trey Sanders (from Port St Joe, FL).
Bama is also recruiting some DBs from the state of Florida behind the scenes.
ETA: Keon Zipperer is one from FL who could end up in this class, but at this point Bama doesn't seem to be pushing for him.

John Garcia (247Sports) attended Hoover's spring scrimmage and said this about Will Reichard: "Was there last night, cutting up the video we shot and will have an accompanying update in the am. Yea, it was impressive. Every KO was a touchback, nailed his only FG attempt (42 yards) and made punting look easy as well."

Did Bud Elliot ever publish anything on why he changed Smith's crystal ball to foggy that you saw?

He's an SBNation guy. I just now looked there and didn't find anything in his recent reporting feed about it.

I think Bama views Mohamoud Diabate as being talented and versatile enough to play any of our four LB positions well. I think Latu is viewed mainly as a Jack and maybe Sam too.
If we miss on Harris or Dean, I think Diabate or Vonta Bentley might be next in line. If we miss on Thibodeaux, Diabate might or might not get the nod over Latu.
Chris Kirschner (SEC Country) and Hank South (BOL) ususually mention Kalen Deloach and sometimes Kane Patterson when listing Bama LB targets, but it appears they're probably lower on the board than Diabate and Latu.
But, I'm just doing my best to guesstimate where guys are on Bama's board.

I hope you are right about Sanders. It would be great to get an elite back in this class. I'm not worried about him wanting to go to school with his brother but if his mother wants him in Gainesville it makes me less confident about him getting back on board.
I don't think we will end up with enough room for Zipperer.
Any names on the Florida DB's? I'm assuming we are trying to flip Dent and recruiting Stevenson. But it also seems we are in good shape elsewhere and a lot of the Florida DBs are on the shorter side of what Saban likes.

In a recent article Trey Sanders said his mom now understands that he has to do what's best for his future.
Yeah, I think it's mainly Tyrique Stevenson and Akeem Dent, but it doesn't seem likely we'll land either one. I agree Zipperer seems unlikely too.

LINK ]Texas RB to visit Bama soon, has Tide in top-3 (BamaOnLine-VIP)
4-star RB LINK ]Deondrick Glass 5-11/200 (TX) LINK ]hudl
Glass plans to visit in June. He's very high on the Tide and said UA has told him that he's a priority. Glass wouldn't disclose who else is in his top-3. Coach Banks was recruiting Glass hard when he was at ATM and has continued that at UA. He really likes Banks. He said Bama is "guaranteed" to get an official visit. It sounds like Glass truly appreciates the value of Bama being RBU/NFLU and could very well wind up in Bama's class.

And since this was his first fbs visit, it's perfectly valid to say that a recruit who's been to some more schools is not going to be raving about Tennessee's middle of the road facilities. Everybody has that crap these days

ETA: I read recently that the stadium renovation project got put on hold to re-evaluate options and plans, including consideration of a new stadium, due in part to concerns about Neyland Stadium's steel support structure.

What is the world coming to? I've got a Tennessee fan calling me a dickface on the Alabama recruiting board for giving Tennessee shite, which is my obligation and right as an Alabama fan. Sad. Who gives a shite if Tennessee's facilities are actually good or not? Is it still ok to make fun of Auburn, or is there nothing sacred?
