Yeah around 25 give or take makes sense. It just seems like a few people are confident on us taking 27 or 28 and that seems a stretch based on the current numbers. Of course that can change quickly. It just seems like when Parks had to grayshirt 2 years ago where we had less spots than we all were projecting.

I don't recall for sure if Parks greyshirted due to the 85 total scolarships limit or due to the annual 25 Initial Counter (class size) limit. I think it was the 25 IC limit.

I'll be honest, I've given up trying to figure the scholarship numbers out. I just go with the flow

I do wish that they would raise the limit from 85 to 100. That would allow coaches take more risks on guys that haven't quite developed yet.

My take: 11 offense + 11 defense = 22 x 4 years = 88 + 1 kicker + 1 punter = 90. To me, 90 makes sense. 85 doesn't. 90 is enough, 100 is too many. 85 is so tight it sort of forces more attrition. 100 would enable more bullshite like "package deals" to land recruits. 90 seems just right.

Anything higher than 85 is an improvement in my book

Yeah Tidal and Warrior, looking back I think y'all are right.

I am going to follow Cobra's lead and stop trying to understand it. I need to focus more on work numbers than recruiting numbers anyway

ETA: I agree with Tidal, 100 would be too much. Giving the elite recruiters 3 or 4 more spots a year I think would start to further errod the overall competitiveness of college football.

I always tried so hard to know what I was talking about and I was always freaking wrong. It's much easier just saying "I don't know, and don't care".

We went to the Capital City Oyster Bar for supper and they had some of the freshest oysters I've ever had. Dude was literally shucking them at the bar.

Their Royal Red shrimp were money too.

Davis,, williams, Wilson, and Hurts will all probably be gone after the year. Plus the seniors. Who else do y'all think may leave?

Byron Young told BOL (Hank South) that Alabama was his leader, hence the CB.

I could see Jennings, Lewis and possibly Deionte Thompson leaving early following breakout seasons in addition to the ones you listed.

Hey Saint, how are you and your family adjusting to life down here? I know "the hell house" made things a little rocky at first, but hopefully ya'll have it under control now.

We love it, man.

I said tonight when we were headed home how glad I was that we got this assignment and everyone agreed.

We aren't as happy as the dude who owns the Krispy Kreme in Prattville though. They opened a couple weeks ago and I shite you not they have been slammed packed every day since then.

I've never seen a city so happy for a donut shop opening.
