nah, ill take a nice pair of Bs that feel and move like they should anyday, which is probably what that lady had before she got them weird looking implants. Now she's pointing East and West

I'm not sure Ika is a take now that we have Dale on board. If we land Tuitele and Sopsher, and I think we will, I think we'll call it a day at DT.

IMO, we'll take 4 more DL in this class: Tuitele, Sopsher, and then any 2 of Pickering, Young, Alfano, and Handy.

I agree on Ika, but I think we might take 5 more DLs from those 6 you listed. I don't think Handy gets in unless we miss on one of the others.

Oh you don't have to clarify, I already know. I have spent plenty of nights at bars and clubs with dudes of your ilk providing extended monologues on the subject. Sometimes I wonder if you guys hold rallys and distribute talking points on the subject. Again, I'm joking, I just find it funny that I know several people in different circles of your opinion and they will ALWAYS bring it up if a woman has implants.

Ika has too much much bad weight and hadn't lost much of it when he visited for A-Day. I think Dale got the one NT spot. Tuitele and Sopsher are both takes (they're versatile DLs) and I like our chances (A LOT) to land both of them.

I wouldn't discount Ika. Not many guys his size can move like he does. That being said, even with a bunch of spots for DL this year, the board is pretty congested. Lots of options. I'm very interested to see what Ika's senior highlights look like later this year.

LINK ]Alabama recruiting: Updates on the Crimson Tide’s 2019 class (SEC Country)

Kevin Harris committed to Alabama on Tuesday.
quote:

Each Friday, SEC Country will review the week that was in Alabama recruiting. That includes an overview of the current commitments, top remaining targets and what could be in store next for the Tide.

Alabama has laid the foundation for what should be a top-5 recruiting class in 2019. Over the next few months, the coaching staff will attempt to keep some of the nation’s top prospects in-state and add championship-level talent to the roster.

The Tide’s 2019 recruiting class, which is up to 12 commitments, could have as many as 27 players come National Signing Day in February.

Alabama recruiting: Where it ranks

Alabama’s 2019 class is ranked No. 1 in the SEC and No. 1 nationally, according to the 247Sports composite. All of the Tide’s 12 commitments are rated as 4-star prospects or higher. The team has one 5-star commit, tackle Pierce Quick. (read more)

Notes: I'm not posting the entire article. It has links to recent articles, in case you missed any. Otherwise, it's a breakdown of commits and top targets -- info that's always available in the first two posts in this thread, and imo more accurate too. Imo, Kirschner (the author) is over on the number of WRs (3) and under on the number of DLs (5) Bama will take.

Hey Tidal, other than Sospher have you seen where any of our other targets have stated they will wait until February instead of signing early?

I took a quick look at our Top Targets list, and I don't recall anyone else on it who's said they plan to wait until February NSD.

A recent SEC Country article said Pickering has indicated he'll make a January decision. Iirc, in the last cycle there were some who signed in December, but waited to reveal it at one of the all-star games. So, by Pickering saying January, maybe he's considering doing that.

And despite what Sopsher might say to the media, I think he might sign in December.

Who is this year's "Recruit X"?

The one surprise we didn't think we would get or wasn't on the radar?

Just guessing, I could see Saban stealing an LSU "lock" like Derek Stingley, Trey Palmer, John Emery or Tyrion Davis (especially if Coach Eaux's seat gets hot). Or maybe a surprise get like Noah Cain or surprise flip like Chris Hinton. Former Tide commit Trey Sanders is one that many think will go to UF, but I still think we could ultimately get him back in our class.

Jake Smith from AZ. and Jameson Williams from MO. Are straight up fast I don’t think no one can catch them hope we get one of the two and Marcus Washington is a taller receiver with great hands

Someone from Georgia . Seems that our coaches think we have a shot with a few guys over there that haven't been previously mentioned with us much. Booth is a possibility, but I've seen several names mentioned.

Alfano would be huge! #1 DL on the board ahead of Sopsher and Hawaiian guy.

Alfano just set his announcement date for May 18th. Hank also CB’d him to Bama.

Alabama DL target locks in decision date

quote:

It will be Alabama, Georgia or Penn State for Antonio Alfano when the four-star defensive lineman announces his college decision on May 18.

The Colonia (N.J.) product recently narrowed his list of schools to the aforementioned trio after taking visits to all three schools in the month of April.

“Bama is Bama,” Alfano said of the Tide recently. “Everything about Bama is awesome. They have the top of the line facilities. Everything they do there is the best of the best. If you go there you’re going to grow into a great athlete and great person. I really appreciate what they’re doing for the football world. They’re changing everything. They’re making it their own way with their own style called Bama football.”

On his most recent visit to Tuscaloosa a few weeks ago, Alfano was hoping to have Nick Saban answer a few of his questions.

“I had a couple questions for him that I wanted a straight answer. I wanted to know if he was leaving or not and he said straight up, ‘I’m not going anywhere.’ He’s staying. (We talked about) Again how they want me there and how I can make an impact to the team.”

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound Alfano put up monster testing numbers at the The Opening Regional in New Jersey earlier this spring, clocking a 4.82-second 40-yard dash, a 4.27-second shuttle, and jumping a 36.6-inch vertical.

Alabama certainly sees the potential the East Coast native possesses.
