I think we gauge his seriousness by his willingness to come back on subsequent visits.

Quick tweeted, "the day isn't over yet". Of course Bone had to add on.

I've heard different things on Harris. Had heard he was very possibly going to commit a weekend or two ago (don't remember which), and then someone said he was going to have to come to camp to have a committable offer. I'm not sure what the truth is on him right now.

Serious from Thibodeaux. But it'll be a long, tough fight. We have a good shot.

I mentioned Kevin Harris and Christian Harris. And I think they're both takes. Which one are you talking about?

Mississippi State is basically our only competition for talent in that state.

There's a post size limit and that post is right up against it. The link addresses take up a lot of space.

Shortened all the links for you if interested

I appreciate it. That's pretty cool. I'm curious how you did it. What "tool" did you use?

I'm actually good now for that post. I was able to shorten the links enough and design it carefully so that it holds 52 players. That's enough and just about right, since we can only sign about 27.

Any more than 52 sort of defeats the purpose. It's meant to be the "short list" and a dashboard that's easy to read and use. I have a stash post where I keep players who are on the bubble.

And starting at the 3rd post itt, there are position group lists (with links) of all players with offers.

Other than Handy, Ealy and Young, absolutely. I think we flip Ealy and Young is ours if we want him (ie: we miss out on Pickering and Alfano). I think Handy goes to Ole Miss. I would take Handy if he wanted to jump on board, but I actually like Young's film more.

I agree with all of that. I like Young better as a player too. I think he's got lots of upside. And he doesn't seem to have the immaturity that Handy appears to have.

Miss St is the real in-state competition, but there's a lot of other competition vying for MS players in this cycle due to Ole Miss' troubles. Bama and LSU have a distance advantage over most others though. I'd hate to be competing vs Bama for Dean and the top MS DLs right now.

No sweat. I thought so, but wanted to make sure. I think Saban, Tosh and Golding are all down with taking his commitment. It appeared they wanted it the first time Christian and his mom visited and that the hurdle/goal was to get his dad's buy in and blessing.

A 7-5 season in Stark Vegas or even a 6-6 should remedy that problem.

Exactly. I don't feel as great about Pickering as others do - I think he goes to Auburn or MSU. I can't explain it, just a gut feeling. If Young is given the green light I think he's ours, and I would actually take him over 1 of Ika/Dale, simply because I think we could use 1 more DE in this class. I think, but am not certain that Cheney and Alfano will be DE's and we'll move Wynn back to DE in 2019. We'll be all set at NT/DT with Mathis, Barmore, Sopsher, Tuitele, and 1 of Ika/Dale on the roster. Then again, it wouldn't shock me if Sopsher or Tuitele lined up at DE.

Pickering is a must, IMO. I think he's good enough to play from the first day, and his body is the most game-ready of the DE's in MS. I have no clue why Handy is rated higher than Young is. To tell you the truth, I wasn't blown away by Handy's film, and I think Young is a safer prospect.

If D.J. Dale is a take, I'm assuming we're taking 7 DL this cycle. Sean won't like this, but even though Dale isn't ranked as higher as our other targets, I would be happy if we landed him. I liked his film and I think after a redshirt and a few years losing some baby fat he can be a solid contributor in the middle. He eats up double teams pretty well and can move decently.
