A few programs making an impression on Top247 CB Jones (BamaOnLine-VIP)

4-star CB Sheridan Jones 6-0/170 (VA) hudl

Jones said Clemson has a "slight edge" early on over Bama and Ohio State. Other schools he's considering are South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Nebraska and Tennessee. He'll visit Clemson this weekend and Bama for A-Day weekend. Jones also visited Bama in Feb & Nov of 2017.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d be happy to add him but Jack is one of the few positions we hit on last year and seem to be in good shape with this year.

I guess I’d be more upset/worried if he were a DT/DE (or perhaps a MLB or QB).

Eta: or also perhaps a RB or Kicker.

Eta2: We’re basically in the position now where we’re hoping one or two of the new Jacks outgrows the position and moves to DE.

Ani's offer isn't committable -- because Bama is in great shape with 3 better Jack LB prospects. And they also project much better than Ani does to play multiple LB positions. Mike, Will and Sam are the main LB needs in this class, not Jack.

If ya'll could do that for Amari Kight too it would be much appreciated...

Kight has incredible upside. No way Bama's staff would turn him away.

I don't believe the great shape shite. We need to take who is good and wants to come here.

I've heard a lot about Bailey for the past couple years from a guy that covers Bama recruiting over in Ga. for one of the websites. He's been EXTREMELY high on him since I first heard his name, for what that's worth.

Why are we worried about Ani? Jack LB is the deepest position on our team going into this year. We're stacked at OLB.

How do you even know Ani wants to commit to Bama? Maybe he's decided he wants to go to MSU instead. Maybe he feels he can start or at least play a lot right away there, but is worried he can't at Bama or Ohio State.

Lemme guess: Because he looked great on some selected highlights where he beat some HS slaw trying block him and sacked the QB.

Fact: Bama's staff couldn't care less what you or I think about who and how they recruit.

If Harris is serious about engineering, I feel better about him choosing Bama. The engineering programs at all three schools are comparable but the engineering leadership and some faculty at Alabama are some of the best recruiters I have ever seen when it comes to engaging prospective students. I really believe that bodes well for us if that is truly a major consideration.

I think that's the plan for Jordan Davis. It might happen for Jarez Parks too -- however, even at 255 lbs he excels in pass coverage -- enabling him to play other LB spots too.

I don't think James moves. Just seems as if that were the case he would've been experimenting on the other side of the ball this spring.
