First of all, I'm Black. So, lets get that out of the way. With that said California is experiencing a serious out-migration of Blacks and it has been this way for about 20 years now. This is due to many Blacks in California being pushed out of the labor pool by illegal immigrants. Native born American Blacks are only 6% of California's population now. Many Blacks are leaving California for Nevada Texas, Georgia, the Carolinas.

Not to mention many Blacks are like any other group of folks and they are leaving California because of the high taxes there.

I didn't know it was pushing black folks out of California. Most of my neighbors are black and I know for a fact that they don't take any shite from illegals. If you want to see an arse kicking, let an illegal come around and smart off to one of my neighbors. It won't happen more than once

All bullshite aside, you couldn't pay me to live in California.

It's basically socialist. I'd love to visit the national park out there, but I don't want to deal with the people and their views

There isn't some huge exodus. Yes there are less African Americans percentage wise at California's peak in the 80's (down from 8% then to 6% now), but the number of African Americans is still more than it has ever been. Part of the reason the percentage is down is because the Hispanic population has doubled since the 80's and the Asian population has almost tripled. There is a fair amount of people of color returning to the South but people from all parts of the country are moving south AND west.
Overall most people don't move because of taxes, they move because of overall cost of living. I live in a high tax state and the resources provided are great I love it here and most people I know do too. If I move it is because it cost 3 times as much to buy a home here then in most parts of the country.

I have a buddy who lived there for 15 years and loved it. Moved back to Huntsville after he got married.
There are plenty of places in California that are conservative. When I went to a Niners game a few years back there were 3 guys in full camo who had been hunting in Central Cali all day then came to the game and sat behind me. Same good old boy accent and everything and they had never been outside the west coast. When I told them I was from the South they said they would love to hunt there. Man the idea that so many people can't live around a group of people of different viewpoints or lifestyles doesn't say much for the future of this country. It makes me sad. Then I watch football and drink.

I could if I wanted to. Thankfully I'm free to choose, and I choose not to live around people that have beliefs contrary to mine. I don't try to push my beliefs on others and I expect the same courtesy. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen very often anymore.

Hoover players scare me. Chapman is the only one I can think of, besides the receiver that went to Florida, that had good production.

This is not the thread for an extended conversation on this this so this will just be a final comment at least on my end. I have lived in large cities and small towns next to people of all different backgrouds throughout the US and traveled the country a good bit. Someone somewhere is always going to be pushy in their beliefs however most people everywhere I have been behave exactly as you say you wish they would when it comes their beliefs. Everyone's experiences are different but it makes me sad your experience seems to have been so different or possibly we have just come to such different conclusions.

I don't come to conclusions without talking to people. I'm a conservative white male. It shouldn't be a crime, but I have talked to numerous conservatives who were called names and treated like crap in California because of being conservative.
I might not agree with liberals, but I don't treat them any differently than I treat anyone else. I enjoy differing views and opinions and discussing them. I however don't like being called a racist or a nazi just because I'm conservative. Anyways, back to recruiting.
Sean needs a 5 star, so Saban better get off of his arse
