I don't know where Saint is, but I imagine he lost his mind over the no call towards the end of the New Orleans game ? If the Saints lose this, it will be one of the bigger screw jobs in history

The wife and I went to J. Broussards on Friday night. My steak was cooked perfectly (rare) and my wife's shrimp and grits was phenomenal.

We usually go to Hucks when we are in town, but we had a crappy experience the last time we went.

Surprisingly, J. Broussards was cheaper than our typical meal at Hucks.

Final thoughts from the 2019 Polynesian Bowl (247Sports | segments)

quote:

After spending a week in Honolulu for the Polynesian Bowl practices and then Saturday's game, we got a good long look at several prospects in the game.

In its third year as a game, the Polynesian Bowl is quickly becoming one of the premier games in the country. The high-caliber players, the week-long celebration culminating in the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame inductions and ceremony and finally, the game in Aloha Stadium on a nationally televised stage has given the Polynesian Bowl major momentum as it embarks on its fourth cycle, with what is already building a stellar 2020 Polynesian Bowl roster.

But before we start thinking too far down the road, here are some final thoughts from the third Polynesian Bowl.

Top Overall Prospects from the Week

Offense:  Trey Sanders (Alabama)

The No. 1 running back in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Sanders was outstanding all week.  Some guys cruise in All-Star games- Sanders didn't. From the beginning of the week through the game, Sanders showed why he's the top back in the country.

Defensive Player of the Week

DL Khris Bogle (Committed to Alabama)

Bogle is a quiet kid off the field, but put the pads and helmet on and he's a monster. He would line up at defensive end and outside linebacker, rush the passer, drop into coverage, and do it all well. While he's committed to Alabama, Florida and Miami are still trying like crazy with him.

Injured Player We Missed Seeing in Game

LB Henry To'oto'o (Uncommitted)

To’oto’o was the one of the two defensive players named as a finalist for the Polynesian High School Football Player of the Year award but a foot fracture he suffered in the CIF State Open Division title game in December had him in a boot and kept him out of the game.

They didn't miss Ishmael Sopsher?

Game MVPs

Defense: Daniel Heimuli (Uncommitted)

One of the top un-committed players in the country, Heimuli was all over the field, clogged the middle on run plays and showed off his aggressiveness throughout. He had 3 1/2 tackles for a loss, including a sack, and displayed his immense potential as a linebacker that can do everything and do it well, earning defensive MVP honors. The four-star has visits lined up with Washington and Alabama the next two weekends, and is still considering Oregon, UCLA and Utah.

Why are you allowing them to get you so worked up?

Because maybe I'm a little sensitive to this sort of thing since I drive through piles of debris and shite every day to and from work since Hurricane Michael on October 10. I have friends and coworkers who are still living in RV's because their house was destroyed. If you aren't sympathetic to the plight of your fellow man, then what are you?

So you think you melting about it is going to change their behavior?

They're trying to ger that reaction and you're giving it to them.

Hadn't really paid attention to him until recently, but Heimuli's tape looks very good. Hope we're putting the full court press on him and finding weird loopholes to make the numbers work for him and whatever else.

Saban and Denzel Devall saw Quashon Fuller yesterday. His Bama OV is set for Feb 1.

Reliable insider: "Two spots for Young, Sopsher, Pickering, Fuller, Sorrells, Harrison-Hunte."
