Diaz was already at Miami and successful. Venables isn't leaving his great job for Miami, Diaz would leave temple. I'm not sure why you would say that
I'm saying it because he is one of the best and most experienced coordinators out there. You cay he isn't leaving his "great job" as a coordinator to be a head coach is just your opinion and I respect it, but if Miami was serious about it and threw enough money at him, he would take it, in my opinion. However, he wouldn't be as cheap as Diaz.

Now if this is the reason, then I can understand.

Bro i went to that stream and the first thing i heard was "our play is right there with Alabama and Clemson".

Man I kind of feel for them, not really, but kind of. Diaz's last 4 HCs have been bad Mack Brown, bad Mark Richt, 2 seperate 1 year stints with Dan Mullen and Rick Stocksill. That is a lot of just good enough to hold a job right there to learn from.

I just don't think this is a good hire for Miami. It's a great hire for us though

How the hell does he even make that statement.

I tried listening but they are crazy as hell. It's some of the most delusional shite that I've ever heard

Wow, supposedly Miami has hired Diaz.
It may help them get Bogle, but overall it seems better for our recruiting than if Cristobal is there.

It is unlikely but we should note there was chatter around Gattis and the Temple job, however I believe Diaz, Brown the DC at Michigan and Elko at ATM were the finalist. Francis Brown who is already there may take over as well. The coaching carousel is a pain in the arse. I would laugh my arse off if Brown jumped ship on Harbaugh.

I was thinking the same thing.. Bogle really likes Diaz. Might help them there..but overall we cherry pick that area.

Tutnage, Battle, and Williams LINK

Just from the clips.. Battle looks good, great closing speed. Williams has great reaction and first step.. He might be my favorite. I hope we land him. Tutnage is flat footed and needs to work on his foot work. Wont be hard to work on that. Just has to learn how to turn his hips and not loose balance or a step.
But this was only from a short clip.

Battle looked good. Turnage not so much. Christian Williams with a very nice pick. Basically ran the WR route.

Alpha Dog
Westlake Village (CA) Oaks Christian WDE LINK ]Kayvon Thibodeaux came in to the week with the biggest reputation and more than lived up to it. Thibodeaux, the No. 2 rated player in the country in the 247Sports Composite, was dominant in the one on ones and didn’t just win every rep, he won them with ease. There were several times when the opposing tackle he went up against didn’t even get a hand on him and he showed off not just an explosive first step but a variety of moves that left the tackle he just torched banging his helmet in frustration. Thibodeaux signed with Oregon over Alabama, Florida and Florida State.

Next Five Defense
1. DL, Jaquaze Sorrells, Orlando (FL) Winter Park - In terms of domination, Sorrels wasn’t far behind Thibodeaux at all. The big defensive tackle manhandled opposing guards and centers and showed off a nice combination of power and quickness. He was explosive off the ball and had no problems getting to the quarterback. Sorrells didn’t sign in February and is one of the top unsigned players in the country, currently rated the No. 169 prospect in the 247Sports Composite. South Carolina currently leads in the Crystal Ball forecast.
3. DB, Jordan Battle, Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas - The Alabama commit showed why he’s one of the nation’s top safety prospects with a very impressive showing. He has a safety frame but a corner skill set and was one of the most instinctive players we saw. He’s always around the football making plays and the game just look easy for him. Battle is currently rated the No. 77 prospect nationally and No. 44 by 247Sports.

Top Five Offense
1. WR, George Pickens, Hoover (AL) - Pickens looks like a college receiver right now. He’s pushing 6-4 and 190 pounds and has an athletic frame with great body control. He’s aways good for a few highlight reel catches every time out and had multiple impressive plays earlier tonight. When you look at his frame, athleticism and big play ability, there’s aren’t too many receivers with more next level upside.
2. OL, Darnell Wright, Huntington (WV) - Wright is a powerful player and won just about every one on one rep that we saw. He’s patient, doesn’t lunge or overset and had the most dominant win of the day putting his man on his back. Wright is rated the No. 10 prospect nationally in the 247Sports Composite and is definitely pushing for five-star status by 247Sports. Tennessee currently leads Alabama and Ohio State in the Crystal Ball forecast.

News and Notes:
* Two players we had on five-star watch this week, Westlake Village (CA) Oaks Christian running back and Michigan signee Zach Charbonnet and Brock (TX) tight end and Texas A&M signee Baylor Cupp, have injuries and will not participate.
* Destrehan (LA) running back John Emery, the No. 12 player overall in the 247Sports Composite is another player who was a no-show this week and won’t be competing. Emery is a ridiculous talent and you can make a strong argument he’s the top back in the country.
