Here are a couple posts I lifted from the LSURb regarding different prospects:

Nathan Pickering
Was very near to committing to Miss State over the weekend. He still wants to take a few more visits so his coach talked him out it. A lot of family ties to Miss State for him but we're right there behind Miss State with Alabama in the mix. Kid is a good to solid DL prospect but wish someone would sit him down and explain to him just how big of a freak he would be playing OT in the SEC. Like first round in the NFL Draft type freak.

Got a face to face update from the kid himself yesterday as he was playing against my son's team in Baseball.
He came to the concession stand to pickup his iphone he had asked us to plug in for him so it would charge while the game was going on. He had on an LSU sweatshirt after the game and I told him "I like that sweatshirt and I know that is where you are going next year right" His exact response was a big old smile and "Yes Sir, probably so." Well mannered kid and boy can he fly. Fastest I've seen on a Baseball field in a long time. He has to be low 4.4 or high 4.3 forty kid.

I wonder why Bama hasn't offered Charles Moore, #6 SDE (MSU commit).

Our offer list on 247 had him on there a few weeks ago and now his name is missing.

Moore has been committed to Miss State since August. In this Rivals article from last March he sounds like he's all MSU --

Updating the status of Tua Tagovailoa's hand injury (al.com, Matt Zenitz, 6:15pm 03/21/18)
quote:
Alabama's quarterback competition shouldn't have to be put on hold for too long. The hand injury Tua Tagovailoa suffered Tuesday is believed to just be a sprain and he should be able to return to practice in at least a limited capacity at some point soon, sources told AL.com.
The sophomore suffered the injury when his hand hit off an offensive lineman while he made a pass during the Crimson Tide's first spring practice on Tuesday.
Without getting into specifics about the injury or recovery timetable, Nick Saban said Tuesday night that Tagovailoa had suffered a thumb injury but expressed optimism that Tagovailoa would be able to get back to being able to do "some things" in "a few days."
Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts were splitting reps with the first-team at quarterback prior to the injury, according to Saban.
"We're giving both guys an opportunity to see how they compete and how they do," Saban said. "We don't have any decisions, aren't speculating on any decisions. Just going to be fair and honest on how we give each player a chance to compete."

Four-star edge rusher has Tide in top 3, plans to visit soon (BamaOnLine-VIP)
4-star LB Kevin Harris 6-4/210 (GA) hudl
Harris has narrowed it down to his top three, Alabama, LSU & Miami. He talks to Tosh Lupoi, his primary recruiter, weekly and plans to visit during spring practice. He expects to reach his decision by August. He has a lot of family in LA and seems to favor LSU at this point.

Please post when you find out who anointed him number one, or even one of the top prospects.. Also, post why they cameto that conclusion. I started to go back and re-read the posts and articles about him until I saw I was not the only one who noticed that WTFscenario.

Tide RB target set to visit Alabama in April (BamaOnLine-VIP)
4* Ath Ronald Thompkins 5-11/195 (GA) hudl
Thompkins is from Loganville (Ga.) Grayson, the same school as Kevin Harris. He projects well as an APRB and DB. He plans to visit on April 3-4 and estimates he has visited Bama 10-15 times.

ETA: Kohl's Kicker Rankings
Reichard's Kohl Profile
quote:
KOHL'S COMMENTS
Reichard was recently invited to the National Underclassman Challenge in January of 2018. He continues to show why he is the Number 1 ranked kicker and punter in the Nation. He made 13 out of 16 field goals off the ground during the charting portion and hit multiple 80+ yard kick off's. Reichard also averaged 49+ yards with 4.71 seconds of hang time during the charting phase. His consistency in ball striking, his overall field goal range, and his kick off ability make him unique. His "A" ball is at the Power 5 level in both kicking and punting. His punting has really improved to the point where he is about two years ahead of his age. He creates great extension on his drop and has powerful hips up and through the ball. His technique is consistent, repeatable, and impressive. The ball jumps off his foot and he will be a Power 5 Scholarship kicker/punter!
These two are supposedly the benchmark for kicker rankings and they both have him #1. He must kill it on the kicking camp circuit.

Arjei Henderson says he speaks to the Alabama staff as much as he does with Oklahoma and A&M. Here's a quote from his regarding our depth chart:
I'd like to take this opportunity to once again say how excited I am to see Jaylen Waddle in Crimson. I think he is going to be a monster for us.

"A guy I am really close with just signed with Alabama in Jaylen Waddle. They did not chase a lot of receivers in his last class, which opens it up a lot in the 2019 class. It really helps them recruit for our class."

Top Performers: Under Armour Miami
We haven't offered yet, but he will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend for a visit. I expect he will get one so I'm going to add his information to the first page.
Kaiir Elam Highlights

ALPHA DOG
North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School defensive back Kaiir Elam told 247Sports before the event that he is a cornerback all the way and played the part in dominating fashion in the hours that followed. Well over 6-foot with great length, he was among the smoothest defensive backs through drills whether transitioning or breaking on the football. It translated well through the competition phase of the camp, as he broke up well more passes his way than otherwise. Elam won reps with physicality, at the point of contact, but also with technique, leverage and speed. The most anticipated one-on-one battle of the day was against the only other prospect under Alpha Dog consideration, wide receiver John Dunmore, who owned just about every other defensive back he went up against. Elam was patient out of his stance, didn't fall for Dunmore's double-move attempt and even stacked the fellow blue-chip recruit out of bounds as the football was released.
Elam's bloodline features NFL representatives in his father (Abram) and uncle (Matt), two safety talents. Matt Elam played at in-state Florida, the program holding 100 percent of the junior's 247Sports Crystal Ball selections. The top 100 talent says he has no leaders among well over 30 offers.
We haven't offered yet, but he will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend for a visit. I expect he will get one so I'm going to add his information to the first page.

Alabama’s chances at landing nation’s top 2 defensive tackles
That would be one hell of a DT haul.
quote:
Alabama is in a good spot with the nation’s top defensive tackles in the 2019 class: 5-star prospects Ishmael Sopsher from Amite (La.) High School and Faatui Tuitele from St. Louis School (Honolulu). Sopsher has visited Tuscaloosa numerous times since becoming a national recruit while Tuitele is expected on campus next month.
While it is early, my guess is Sopsher’s decision comes down to Alabama and LSU. Sopsher is former teammates with wide receiver DeVonta Smith and his current teammate Devonta Lee is a major wide receiver target for the Tide. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Sopsher and Lee reunite with Smith in Tuscaloosa.
As for Tuitele, he’s former teammates and distant cousins with Tua Tagovailoa. He’s very intrigued with the Tide but he hasn’t been offered just yet. That will likely come when he visits next month.
Watching Tagovailoa have the success he had in his first year has shown Tuitele that he, too, could choose a school on the other side of the country and prosper.
“Seeing Tua on the biggest stage and win a national championship — it really motivated me and gives me the confidence that I can set a path for myself and go to the East Coast and make a name for myself like he did,” Tuitele said. “Seeing what he did in the national championship game was mind-blowing. Just the year before, I was playing with him in the state championship game. The next year, he’s in the national championship game. He let everyone know that Hawaii players can hang with the big dogs.”
Tagovailoa’s first trip to Tuscaloosa led to the quarterback ultimately choosing the Tide over his dream school in Southern California. We’ll see if that’s the case with Tuitele.
That would be one hell of a DT haul.

Alabama has heavy competition for top-15 DE who no longer calls Tide his leader
quote:
Byron Young still high on Alabama
Byron Young’s career path was decided shortly after getting hit with a helmet directly on his knee that caused a bone to chip back in the seventh grade. Young didn’t think much of the injury. It hurt, but he pushed through the pain.
It wasn’t until basketball season the next year when he realized that the knee injury sustained the prior year was more serious than originally thought. His older brother noticed that Young wasn’t running as fast as he usually did. That’s when the family decided to see a doctor, who diagnosed the injury as a chipped bone.
Young, a 4-star defensive end from West Jones High School (Laurel, Miss.), had surgery on his knee and the recovery process took eight months. But during that time recovering, he realized that studying kinesiology is what he wanted to do with his life.
“I want to help people recover from injuries,” Young told SEC Country. “When I had an injury, people were always there for me and it really helped me get back to 100 percent.”
After the injury, Young didn’t get back on a football field until his 10th-grade year. He only played basketball his freshman year. Learning the speed of the high school football game was an adjustment because he hadn’t played since seventh grade.
“Some of it was natural,” Young said. “The difference between youth football and high school is in youth football, you’re just told to hit the man with the football. In high school, you’re running stunts and learning gaps and knowing what the people behind you are doing. Once I learned all the plays, I had it down.”
And now Young is rated as the nation’s No. 14 strongside defensive end in the 2019 class and has offers from some of the nation’s top programs. Young said Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and South Carolina are recruiting him hard. Almost all of those schools — the in-state Mississippi programs especially — are in daily communication with him.
Young named Alabama as his leader last month after visiting for junior day, but he wouldn’t call the Tide his top team anymore. He wants to weigh all of his options and doesn’t want schools to back off recruiting him.
“[Alabama] is still up there,” Young said. “I wouldn’t say that I have a clear leader right now, but they are one of my favorite schools. Just being around the coaches and players and knowing that if you’re a defensive lineman, you’re going to have a good chance to make it to the NFL is why they’re up there for me.”
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound prospect is one of the Tide’s top defensive end targets and is being treated as such. He speaks with primary recruiter Pete Golding and defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski often. Nick Saban offered Young back in January after stopping by his high school, and he quickly followed up by speaking with the recruit on National Signing Day. Saban always calls the majority of the team’s top targets in the following class on Signing Day to let them know that he hopes that they are announced as Alabama signees the following February.
But it’s his impression of Golding and Kuligowski that have excited Young about possibly playing for the Tide.
“Coach Golding is really, really excited about being at Alabama,” Young said. “You can tell that he loves it there. He’s really excited about getting to coach there. Coach Kool was at Miami developing top defensive linemen. He was at a good job at Miami and decided to leave for Alabama. That says a lot.”
Young, who is planning on making his commitment in the fall, doesn’t have any official visits set. He is sure that he wants to visit LSU for the Alabama game in November. This weekend, Young will visit Auburn. He is planning on visiting Georgia next month. Clemson and Florida also will receive visits from Young in the coming weeks and months.
But those schools will have to play catch-up to the bar that Alabama set when he visited Tuscaloosa last month.
“It was just the feeling I got when I was at Alabama,” Young said. “I have a really good chance to play early. They’ve lost a lot of defensive linemen. That was my first time touring the campus and it’s really nice. They also get a lot of players to graduate, which is important.”
