Might cost Bama from getting Dean. Sounds like his mom is looking for any reason for her son to go to Bama. She just got every reason she needs.

I don’t think Mommy dislikes Bama at all.. her pick would be ole miss. I know she like Kirby and Saban. Hopefully Saban got to know her better and won her over on his visit. The word after the visit was all good for Bama. So I’m still sticking with that.. I do wish our commits would reach out to Dean more and get the UGA guys away from him.. that’s all. And that we wouldn’t throw any extra speed bumps in a close race like Durkin..lol

We don't even know why Durkin was around. There is nothing suggesting he has been hired to any position. The wording of the initial report was he was "helping" in a "consultant-like" role. That could be any number of things. It doesn't even say that UA is even paying him. People are blowing this up like Saban hired the guy to be his next S&C coach.

I get the whole perception thing and if Saban was getting advice on health related issues it would be a problem. Simply asking a coach for advice on an upcoming opponent isn’t the end of the world.

Of course it's not. But some asshats in the media will sensationalize and spin shite with total disregard for harm it may unfairly cause. Some even have an agenda of malicious intent to cause harm. They thrive on creating controversy and sensationalizing it.

Yeah, really. What's the big deal? He advised CNS on some game film. It's not like he was brought on as Life Advisor or S&C coach... or even as an assistant coach. It was stinking film break down. Let's not lose our minds here.

I totally agree we don’t know the whole story and I’m sure they is a damn good reason. I’m just say The media doesn’t care.. watch the news for 10min.. there is already reckless articles that can be used against us. I posted a few but just google Bama and Durkin. Hell, even Paul (who I hate) ripped us in his show. It’s the talk of the town and it will be used against us. No one cares why he was there.. they care he was there period. I

Was Durkin even there when the SC coach ran them to the point that the incident happened? Was he physically at that location? I honestly don't know, but I do know coaches are allowed only minimal contact with players during off season like that.

If he wasn't there and he's being help responsible simply due to the employee he hired making those poor choices then I'm not sure that's fair. I don't necessarily want the guy here, but are people saying he should never have a job again b/c a subordinate? I'm admittedly not up on the whole story, but some of this feels very PC crowd and very 2018 to me.

Again I’m not losing my mind but the media is.. media is pushing a student protest. By just suggesting one may happen. They control these kids by suggesting ideas.. then these kids act as if they were their ideas. Remember the student section protesting the national anthem at Bama? Welcome to the PC world..

Seems like his presence can be very easily explained by Saban to any players or parents concerned. I can't see it being EFFECTIVELY used against us.

We don’t really have time to explain things to a recruit who is about to announce.. but each to his own. I would be concerned if it was my kid. Just seems like not a very risky move.. and seems all the media agrees. No reason to fake punt this close to the end..lol

The media and our opponents will spin it. Even though Bama nation and rational people wont.

I am glad it happened now so our fantastic coaches can talk to all of our recruits about it and explain. Might have been different if it was right before the dead period.

Bo, I can guarantee you that our Bama commits are all showing Dean love. P. Quick is our biggest recruiter.

All these coaches can't touch Bama on player development, championships, graduation. You know the important things, so they sell family.

I've read it. It's an overreaction. If you can't stomach bad press that's fine. But just because some blowhards rush to get clicks doesn't mean it actually matters.

Yes, really.. remember these parents are NOT Bama fans. Dean’s mom is a ole miss fan. They don’t give Bama the benefit of the doubt like we do. They read the articles.. think about this we have half the country thinking socialism would work. Is it really a stretch to think parents might be concerned after reading this.
