Yea, to say Bert was pissed is an understatement. I lived in Arkansas at the time and that’s all you would hear about on the radio.

His mom does not look old enough to have a son about to graduate high school.

Imagine if Bert had gotten that into Pittman's contract too... Kirby didn't have a great second option if I remember correctly either.

That was the beginning of the end for Bert.

Kirby looks like an idiot for even approaching Tosh about it.
Yeah. You're wrong about that. Kirby would be bringing in a top 5 recruiter in the country. Hell, maybe the best.
It's a no brainer for him to call Tosh. You give him the DC title and give him plenty of support for game planning. Just like we did.

Tosh is a great recruiter, especially over Tucker who by all accounts was mediocre and carried by Kirby. It makes sense to make the offer, but it doesn't sense that he would go unless he thought Saban for some reason was slowing his ability to progress.

Hell if Saban was at Banks house at 342pm he flew to MS and had one heck of a quick pitch to Dean

The only reason I could think he would go. Saban gave him a chance, brought him along, promoted him.....I don’t think he would leave his mentor this quickly. Like I said , if true and he turns them down , I bet you see rumors of him offering Golding before the weekend

That I could see, Golding would be a huge loss and this seems like a move by Kirby to try and win a few recruiting battles by poaching one of Alabama's primary recruiters.

I get all of the reasons why he would offer Tosh, but I just can’t see him leaving. It would be a lateral move. Don’t see Golding leaving either. He turned down two other jobs to stay.
It seems like he either wants to copy Alabama (which he have seen time and time again), or he wants to piss of Saban. Not sure he wants to ring that bell again. Especially, after last year with his, “Saban won’t be there much longer routine.” Dude really needs to make his own way.
Pruitt seems like he is doing it that way, and I hope he succeeds to an extent. Just seems like a stupid move.

This "rumor" is nowhere to be found on the Georgia board here, their 247 site or on BOL.
This sounds like a load of horseshite started to cast some doubt on Tosh's long-term prsopects at Alabama for recruiting purposes. Basically, they are getting desperate because we're about to close like a fricking freight train.

Always wanted Kirby to one day take over for Saban ( before his dream job opened obviously ) but I am starting to think he is a POS. His antics the last couple years seem immature and desperate
