Maybe he can help with Coburn. Wouldn't mind getting that safety O'Neal Jr to visit as well.

Yeah Brown is a must and Bama really needs a great cb out of the two elites left on the board. Are there any other DL out there that Alabama may get that arevelite but not on the radar yet or are most signed?

The #2 DT THompson from Missouri is coming in for a visit but prolly too late to land him IMO. Who knows with Saban though . Can’t count him out. I think the rest of our realistic prospects are DE Types. Gotta have Brown

I think we proved this year that we don't have to have elite CBs out of high school. Averette and Wallace just developed nicely.

No we dont need elite guys but with lack of experience I think its a must. S. Smith was the most important get in my opinion because he has experience. Getting one of the big three is important because guys like wallace and averitt took time to develop and we dont have that luxury next year

I hope so BUT Jimbo has decided to retain the DL coach Price from the previous staff. This was the primary recruiter on Brown I believe. Brown has said that he has a strong relationship with him. We need a hand ringing emoji on here!!! I want that kid in this class!!

We got two CBs for newly offered DB Eddie Smith. One from a Texas mod and the other from a Vandy mod.

I'm about to check out the three top CBs in this class. Do we have a good chance at stealing any of them? Looks like currently we're not leading in any of their crystal balls.

I think we have a decent shot at landing at least one of them. Given the Banks hire I would say Isaac Taylor-Stuart is our best bet.

I think Surtain goes to LSU and Campbell looks to be UGA bound.

“After talking it over with my mother and coaches, I’ve decided to reclassify up to 2019,” Jones announced on Twitter.

The 6-foot, 165-pound cornerback holds 14 verbal scholarship offers including Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Penn State and others.

Do not want, we used to kick Catholics arse back in the day and I'm gonna use that to inform all my judgement on this.

True but their developer will be with the raiders. The las vegas Raiders. That's sounds really weird. So weird my autocorrect turned it to las vegan raiders.

Alabama target, 3-star DE Malik Langham plans to make choice before National Signing Day

quote:

When Lee-Huntsville three-star, senior defensive end Malik Langham makes his college choice, don't plan on there being an immediate announcement.

The 6-foot-5 1/2, 270-pound Langham said he'll be tight-lipped while making official visits over the next four weekends leading up to National Signing Day on Feb. 7.

"I'm going to decide before then, but I'm going to keep it secret," said Langham, the No. 11 player on AL.com's A-List of the state's top senior recruits. "I'm going to make it public on National Signing Day."

Langham will visit Vanderbilt this weekend, followed by Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.

AL.com asked Langham what he liked about each of the four schools.

Vanderbilt

The Commodores were among the first handful of teams to offer Langham, doing so in February 2017. Vanderbilt was on Langham's initial top-five list in September, along with Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Washington.

"I have a good relationship with the coaches," Langham said. "It's close to home. From an academic standpoint, it's second-to-none."

Alabama
Langham longed to add the Crimson Tide to his list of SEC offers. It happened Dec. 4.

"Alabama is the face of college football, so you can't go wrong going there," he said. "They have one of the best coaches of all time in Nick Saban. They play at a high level."

Langham told AL.com last summer that he felt an Alabama offer would come if he continued progressing and working hard. He was right.

"Hard work pays off. That's what my dad always told me," Langham said. "Just work hard and everything will come to you. Hard work finally paid off."

Tennessee

Butch Jones' staff offered Langham last February and new Vols coach Jeremy Pruitt confirmed that the offer still stood after getting hired in early December.

"Just being close to home," Langham said of Tennessee's positives. "They hired Jeremy Pruitt, who recruited me to Alabama. That's a good hire. Coach (Tracy) Rocker offered me to Georgia, and he's Tennessee's defensive line coach now."

Florida

The Gators offered Langham last February while Jim McElwain was coach, and new coach Dan Mullen's staff offered in December.

"Getting Dan Mullen is a big help," Langham said. "You always dream about playing for the Florida Gators when you're growing up, watching Tim Tebow and everybody like that."

Also joining the race late for Langham was Note Dame, which offered Nov. 27. Langham visited South Bend in December.

"It was good being up there; it was my first time in Indiana," he said. "I really liked it. I really liked the coaches and players."

Langham recorded 104 tackles - 61 solo - with 11 sacks, 23 quarterback hurries, nine pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 11 games this past season. He was named Class 5A first-team All-State, AL.com Huntsville Region Defensive Player of the Year and Huntsville All-City Player of the Year, and he's a finalist for 5A Lineman of the Year.

"I'm blessed," Langham said. "I've got to give all thanks to God. Without him, I wouldn't be in this position. I'm blessed to have people push me to where I am now; the coaches, the players and my family."

Recruiting isn't the only thing keeping Langham busy. He's enjoying perhaps his final run playing basketball, his first love.

"It takes my mind off (recruiting)," Langham said. "This will probably be my last season ever playing basketball. I'm just enjoying it with my friends and teammates."

Florida's best available: Sunshine State's top unsigned prospects

quote:

The Early Signing Period has further expedited the recruiting process, rendering a number of major prospects signed and off the proverbial board. It’s changed the dash to February’s National Signing Day in a number of ways, none more obvious than the shallow player pool it has created. Today, we have a look at what’s left in the fertile recruiting ground of Florida. Below is a look at the top available Sunshine State-based player available at each potion and where his recruitment currently stands.
