4-star WR Justin Watkins

Hometown/School: Clermont, Florida/East Ridge

Height, weight: 5'11", 172 pounds

Ranking: 103rd

Prediction: Alabama

From 24 total offers, Watkins has narrowed his choices to two: Alabama and LSU. The latter is one of three schools he's previously committed to, along with Florida State and Texas, though he's been unattached since backing off a pledge to Texas in June. Considering his track record, it stands to reason Alabama will be the next school to get his commitment.

This article was written before Watkins eliminated Alabama from contention.

There's always the potential Xavier Williams ends up at CB, his HC seems to think that's where his future is. Went as far as to compare him to PP7.

And if I'm not mistaken, he was very political this past week about it when asked.

Now if they offer that guy from Mobile, yeah the CB board is gone...

The early signing date f'ed the B-list process for the most part.

This is a nice article about Da'Ron Payne. Sounds like this will be his last game for us and I don't blame him.

Well, let me just say that if it was a reference to sean’s Glass Half Full Recruiting Newsletter then I just don’t think you got the sarcasm.

Not true.

Our punter threw an interception vs Texas on 09.

Does this mean we don't like our chances with our top targets? Seems like it too me

No. Just due diligence.

Eddie Jackson got his offer around this time of year too.

Watch his film. Kid is legit.

I remember the Nola.com recruiting guy being extremely high on Smith before football season kicked off.

I'll try to find the article.

Maybe he just wasn’t that interested in us until we made the national championship game.

These kids today are so knee-jerk.

Top 13 cover guys in the 2018 Louisiana recruiting class

quote:

Eddie Smith, CB, Salmen, 6-0, 175

Eddie Smith has some of the longest arms you will ever find on a 6-foot tall prospect. He uses that length extremely well to disrupt receivers' releases and make plays on the ball downfield. Smith is athletic and hates giving up plays, and his ever-improving footwork and technique allowed him to make some noise against top talent at camps this spring.

Great looking recruit! Have no idea how he’s the 66 ranked dB looks like a top 20 easily. And how the heck did LSU not offer? I like him
