I prefer Ferrell the kid from Arkansas. With that said Brown is quite good.

How good a player is Brown?
He is a dream come true. A real life fantasy at DT.
I'll see myself out. Thanks.

Yea I knew his rankings was just curious if there was something more there in terms of raw skill or something.

I'll post some scouting reports on him:

Scouting Brown: A big 6-4 frame with strong coordination make Brown one of the state’s top defensive line prospects. His upside is tremendous because of his ability to play multiple positions. He can play strong defensive end in an odd-man front or the three-technique in a 4-3 set. But Brown’s upside is highest as a tackle. His frame will allow for 20 to 30 more pounds without losing his athleticism. Brown’s best football is ahead of him. He needs to learn how to use his hands and stay low in his initial steps off the line of scrimmage.
His potential is gaining interest from power programs. The four-star prospect was a favorite of Texas’ previous staff and is closely considering Texas A&M and Oklahoma. He holds offers from 10 programs, including Texas, and that number should only grow as he’s seen by more scouts and recruiters at spring and summer camps. He might not be an immediate impact player without an improvement in technique over his senior season, but he’s a high-ceiling recruit with all-conference ability if groomed correctly.

"Brown possesses good height and rare length, even for a defensive end, though he projects best to the interior as a tackle, most likely in a four-man front. That said, Brown has the athleticism to fit multiple roles in varying schemes, giving him coveted scheme- and position-versatility. Brown is a high-motor prospect who comes from a good program [Arlington Lamar] that competes in Texas high school football's largest classification. He shows the ability to maintain his balance and leverage mid-contact, which is not often the case with young prospects who possess his height and length."
Brown is listed at 6'4" and 282 lbs. He beats opposing players with power and speed. There is a rawness to his game, particularly trying to read the snap, but the potential is there for him to emerge as a college star in the next year or two.

So one of Brenton Cox’s high school coaches that posts over on BOL is saying that an assistant coach will be leaving the staff after the season concludes (obviously not Jeremy Pruitt). Couple other guy chimed in and said they were hearing the same things and one guy said it’s a defensive coach if he is hearing the same things. Has to be Dunbar, right?

Would we take Miller and Brown if possible? And if we had to chose one, which one would you guys rather have?
We would take Brown. Think we like Langham more than Miller now.

If it's Tosh, I'll not be a happy camper

Dunbar could head back to the NFL.
For some reason I feel like it's Ansley though...

Just read more guys posting about it over there too and they seem not very bummed out about it.... soooo yea it has to be Dunbar haha. I wouldn’t be surprised if an offensive assistant gets replaced either. Like Pannunzio or maybe even Key.

Key isn’t going anywhere. That can’t be stressed enough.

Ugh. That's BamaCory. He's a huge attention whore and probably the reason why we didn't land Brenton Cox.

The vibe I got from reading their comments didn’t seem very negative, and this would be a huge freaking loss for us haha
