We have to roll the dice with Barmore because we've struck out at almost all other DL.

Joseph we at least have a prayer of replacing with ITS or Campbell.

We could end up with nobody to replace Joseph, or we could replace him with better talent. Who knows?

I imagine the staff was still trying to kiss his arse in an attempt to get him to wait a couple of months. They probably weren't talking to too many insiders at that point when something is still in doubt.

I'm happy with what we got. And, I'm happy with Saban bringing in Pete Golding. Golding is from Tangipahoa parish and that parish is loaded next year.

Like I said, our mods and "insiders" got kicked in the fricking teeth today.

Saint - Tim was saying bama would’ve taken Jobe and Nadab Joseph’s commitments in this class. He posted that comment in the Jobe flips thread.

So Jobe was the guy in the both comment?

Makes sense to me to be honest. After Jobe committed we tried to play it safe and Kirby went guns blazing and it paid off for him. Whether it’s bull shite or not, it’s definitely plausible.

I think so too. It appears we barely won his commitment vs UGA in the first place. I think after we got Jobe, it's plausible that Saban may have decided not to sign Joseph early, wanting to wait for a better read on his grades situation. It's also plausible that Joseph may not have been happy about the competition for PT that Jobe added. Obviously, Kirby was willing to give Joseph the green light to sign today.

One thing I do know is that I'm not losing a wink of sleep over it.

Yea, because the OP was implying it was a numbers thing due to Jobe (I think, which is false anyway)

I think Kirby was also more willing to do it for show. Joseph may never play a down for UGA if he doesn't qualify, but the public perception is that Smart flipped one from Saban.

So we essentially have 9 spots left seeing as Jackson and Walker aren't exactly looking solid.

How do we re-shuffle the board moving forward?

Most of my wish list is below:

Nicholas Petit-Frere
JJ Peterson
Isaac Taylor-Stuart
Tyson Campbell
Jaylen Waddle
Justyn Ross
Bobby Brown
Coynis Miller
Penei Sewell
Quay Walker
Vernon Jackson

Also, this situation couldn't have happened on a worse year. If we were able to sign 25 I think we would have taken the chance on Joseph. He is very talented. UA only being able to sign 22-23 makes the coaches think twice before taking someone that might not qualify particularly if there are other options on the table.

Do you think ITS is better than Campbell? If so why do you think that and do you think he is significantly better?
