Any QB in this class is nothing more than a clipboard holder IMO. I actually thought your idea to just take the walk-on was pretty sensible. Nobody in this class is going to get past Tua and probably not whoever we bring in next year.

Yep. I've been thinking about that too the last couple of days. Dang it!!!!

Brock Purdy would be my choice every day of the week when compared to Foster.

I mean, we don't need some athletic freak to win a title.

We went undefeated with noodle arm Greg McElroy "The Alabama Hater" for frick's sake.

Different game now. There is a reason why Saban wants our offense to be more modern. If you can't execute RPO's and QB runs you better be a heck of a passer or have a solid defense.

I would prefer always keeping a QB who is a threat with his legs.

I like foster but I'm like why does every qb we take now have to be a dual threat type? We are a lot better when we are going north and south than east and west smh.

Paul Tyson definitely doesn't fit the dual threat mold. I'm not really convinced little Tua does either, although he is somewhat mobile, he's definitely not what I'd call a true "dual threat" QB. It's a little confusing as to the direction we are trying to go, though.

I agree with you that whoever we take probably won't ever see the field but who are we saving these scholarships for if we don't take them. Its not like we have a lot of guys left that we are going after this year.

I was team lil Tua all season, until I saw Tyson's senior highlights. His arm isn't as strong as Lil Tua, but he makes good decisions and has great touch.

16 commits to date, counting Parker who may be a blue or gray shirt. Parks, Brannon and Bulovas schollies will take up 3 of the 25 limit. So, that leaves only 6 or 7 open spots left in this class. Anoma, Baremore and Peterson appear to be locks for 3 of them. That leaves 3 or 4 open spots, plus any additional blue or greyshirts.

Need another DL - Friday?

Copeland (WR) is trending Bama. He good!

QB - Foster? Purdy?

Ruggs (SS/LB) ? - Maybe as a blueshirt?

Compared to Coach Ansley in photos, Papa Friday looks ecstatic!

Edit: How in hell did those two shorties begat that huge grown arse man child?! Our nutritionist needs to find out what they feed him!

I think Parks, Brannon and Bulovas take up 3 spots of the 25 class size limit for 2018.

If we are going to offer a scholarship to a QB, offer one to Purdy.

Let LSU take Jordan Jefferson 2.0.

Who needs a RPO qb if you dont run them. If the NFL teams don’t need dual threats neither does college
teams. I don't care what you call them just give me a guy who can throw it downfield.

IMO, Tyson isn't even in the same galaxy as Lil' Tua as a prospect. Lil' Tua is as tall as his brother now, and should be a 5*. His current rating is ridiculous. He's as slam dunk of a 5* QB as they come.

We're going to sign more than 22 (or 23 if you count) Parker, who will blue/greyshirt, it sounds like from the people with information that I listen to.

Their stats are in the same galaxy and Tyson has better measurables.
