You're so ratings-obsessed that it's no wonder you're not doing well this year.

I have a feeling it’s not going to be long before i really dislike Kirby. They will be the new rivalry. He is stocking talent.. and it’s talent we want

Tried telling you guys this right after he got the job at UGA and there was this thread where everyone was so happy for him.

Yea I never got that. As soon as he went to UGA I was like frick him he isn't one of us.
Posted on 11/7/17 at 2:52 pm to Tide or Die87
Yea, recruiting he’s going to be a problem. We just have to beat him on the field to even it out. Lol

Georgia has a really good team, but they are benefiting from the East being such a cluster frick.

Knew immediately it was gonna suck going head to head with Kirby for Georgia recruits.
That was fertile land while Richt was coach...

4-star RB Harold Joiner close to making a decision?
MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. — If it were up to Harold Joiner, the nation’s No. 5-ranked running back would be committed. Of course, that isn’t the case.
Joiner, a 4-star prospect from Alabama, had originally planned on making a decision ahead of his senior season — or at least early on. The U.S. Army All-American has toyed with the idea of giving a verbal pledge and knows the school he would choose. However, his father advised patience, which is why Joiner is expected to take up to four official visits before finalizing his plans in December.
The plan, Joiner said, is to wrap up his senior season at Mountain Brook (Ala.) High School and head to San Antonio, Texas, committed. He already has a strong idea of which school he’s favoring.
“I’ve thought about it,” Joiner told SEC Country when asked if he’s been close to committing. “My dad is telling me to hold off and wait. He’s telling me to wait because I’m putting some other schools in it that need a running back, not just want one, and I can see who gets drafted and what running backs [my top] schools pick up.
“I’m pretty confident it’s LSU. I wanted to commit somewhere and I’ve thought of committing somewhere early, as early as last month, but my dad wanted me to hold off.”
The Tigers have been out in front for the 6-foot-3, 218-pound tailback on and off since the spring. Early on, Joiner named LSU as his top school, given the Tigers’ need for backs in 2018 with the impending departures of senior Darrel Williams and junior Derrius Guice. That faded quickly after the team landed commitments from Chris Curry and Tae Provens, but running backs coach Tommie Robinson worked feverishly to again improve LSU’s standing with Joiner.
Joiner has made his top school obvious since visiting last month for the Auburn game. He has sported purple-and-gold Tigers gloves the last few weeks to symbolize the direction he’s leaning and provided this rationale for why LSU is out in front.
“It just feels at home,” Joiner explained. “I fit in great there. The coaches don’t lie to me and I know who I have to beat out. I know who’s leaving and it should be good there. The coaches are honest with me and Coach T-Rob knows I can play my freshman year.
“I know I can at least rotate in my freshman year, but I know I need to get developed and learn the playbook. But it shows me that he’s up front with me and honest and won’t lie to me.”
Gauging LSU’s lead for Harold Joiner Joiner is open and honest about his top school, but there isn’t a monstrous gap from the other schools still in consideration.
LSU remains No. 1 ahead of Alabama. Both are ahead of Ole Miss and Auburn, but all four schools are expected to host the 4-star tailback for official visits over the next two months.
“I feel like the other schools I was interested in got more running backs committed,” Joiner explained. “UGA got the No. 1 running back committed and then they got [James] Cook. Auburn got [Asa Martin] and I feel like they didn’t need me. At LSU, I feel like I can beat out the other [commits] and beat the two guys out that are there right now.
“Alabama is up there with them, but LSU is still above them. It’s not a very big one [lead], but it’s there. I think Alabama has seven running backs and they’re all great backs. Some of them might play their senior year and that’s tough to experience. I want to at least rotate in as a sophomore and play my junior year.”
With Guice and Williams on their way out, LSU will have a competition to see who takes over in its backfield for the 2018 season. Nick Brossette will be the veteran of the group in his senior season. There’s also Lanard Fournette and Clyde Edwards-Helaire, as well as Curry and Provens, the two current backs committed in the 2018 recruiting class.
Robinson believes Joiner could compete for playing time as a freshman, which is not lost on the prospect.
“Basically, he’s telling me that they’re ready for me,” he said. “They’re telling me who’s leaving and he knows I can beat out some of the guys out there and I know that I can. It means a lot, and I know that he tells every running back that, but I believe that I can. I have confidence in myself.”
Harold Joiner returns to Baton Rouge on Nov. 25
The first official visit on the docket for Joiner will be on Nov. 25 when LSU hosts Texas A&M in its regular-season finale.
The return trip to Baton Rouge will mark Joiner’s second visit to campus in as many months, this one holding even more significance as he looks to dot the Is and cross the Ts on his leading school ahead of a December decision date.
After visiting in October to see LSU’s comeback victory against Auburn, he returned home even more confident that he’d wind up playing his college ball in Tiger Stadium. His return in November could help make that decision permanent.
“I thought it was great,” Joiner recalled. “They were down like [20-7] right before the half and I thought: ‘This has to be over.’ I didn’t think they were coming back, but I watched them come back and it was great. All I thought about on the way home was that they’re still my top team.”
Joiner is also expected to officially visit Auburn, Alabama and Ole Miss before making a decision. He expects to commit before the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Awbarn will just open up the checkbook with Top Georgis recruits; like they always do. It'll work Kirby or no Kirby.

NORCROSS, Ga. — Alabama is still recruiting five-star defensive end Christopher Hinton and they thought he was visiting Saturday. The Crimson Tide may be wasting their time.
The same can be said for many other schools because Hinton has all of his focus on Michigan, the school he committed to August 5.
"I am not visiting any other schools," said Hinton. "When I made my commitment, I made sure with my family that is was the right place for me. When I committed to Michigan, I knew I was shutting it down and that I was not going to visit anywhere else.

4-star TE Luke Ford: The tight end has made one visit to Auburn already. It included a personal campus tour with Gus Malzahn, which is something that stood out to Ford on his southeastern tour. He always said he’d be back. According to his father, that’s the plan for the Iron Bowl. Ford expects to take an official visit for the Auburn-Alabama game. This one feels like a long shot based on how Ford feels about Georgia and Alabama, but it’s not over until it’s over.

Can Joiner just commit to LSU already and keep Bama's name out of his mouth?
Press Martin, then take Ford if that doesn't work...

Wide receiver commit Alontae Taylor received his “childhood dream offer” over the weekend from Alabama.
This is important to follow because Taylor talked with Alabama and Georgia a lot over the summer. Georgia continues to pursue him, and now it appears Alabama is back in the mix.
The only prospect who has a longer commitment to Tennessee than Taylor is Mays. Taylor doesn’t have plans to visit Alabama, yet. If that changes, then the Crimson Tide pose a big threat to flip the talented wide receiver.

Previously the UT site said that UGA has the biggest chance of flipping Alontae Taylor. That is before we offered him FWIW.

Nation’s No. 2 pro-style QB prospect doesn’t need to see anything else out of Alabama before deciding
Tanner McKee is one of Alabama's top quarterback targets.

Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Roll Tide-ings, a rundown of everything happening in Alabama Crimson Tide recruiting with Chris Kirschner. Today, we talk the latest with one of Alabama’s top quarterback targets.
Tanner McKee still strongly considering Alabama
Those who follow Alabama recruiting are most likely familiar with the name Emory Jones. He would be the Tide’s top quarterback target in the 2018 class. Jones, a 4-star prospect from Heard County High School (Franklin, Ga.), is currently committed to Ohio State, but a flip to Alabama remains likely.
There’s also another 2018 quarterback prospect who is strongly considering Alabama. That would be 4-star recruit Tanner McKee from Centennial High School (Corona, Calif.).
McKee took an official visit to Tuscaloosa this past weekend for the LSU game, and it couldn’t have gone better for the Army All-American.
“It was a great trip. I loved it,” McKee told SEC Country. “I got to spend a lot of time with the coaches. That was great. The game was amazing, too.”
I know you’re probably thinking why two elite quarterbacks in the same class would consider committing to the same program, but even if McKee decided to commit to Alabama, it wouldn’t affect Jones’ status with the Tide.
McKee will perform a two-year Mormon mission trip after graduating from high school. He’ll learn where he’s serving his mission in March before he departs in June. He’s interested in serving his mission in New Zealand, which is where his father did his when he was younger.
So, essentially, McKee is a Class of 2020 prospect, even though he’s planning on making his commitment on National Signing Day in February. He will not sign his letter of intent on that day, so he will count against whichever school’s 2020 class.
That’s why McKee’s decision will not affect Jones, who wants to be the only quarterback in the class, in any way.
This was McKee’s second trip to Tuscaloosa. The first time he wrapped up his trip, he told SEC Country he could see himself playing for the Tide in 2020. He left Tuscaloosa this time around with the same thoughts.
“I would say the fact they will help you to be the best player you can be is what stands out,” McKee said. “I really believe that. Their program is about hard work and competition. I like that. That’s how it is at my high school.”
What he also loves is coach Nick Saban and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. The nation’s No. 2 pro-style QB got to spend lots of time with both coaches on this trip. He had the customary brunch at Saban’s house on Sunday, where he learned how personable the coach is and how much he cares for each player.
“I love how they run their program,” McKee said. “Coach Saban is the best there is. I didn’t have any huge questions because I had been there before. It was fun to see how their program is run up close. I wanted to get to know their coaches and I felt I did that.”
So, is there anything else he needs to see out of Alabama before he makes his decision?
“Not really. They were great,” McKee said. “They are very impressive. I will finish my visits and then evaluate everything.”
McKee has already taken an official visit to Texas A&M, in addition to Alabama. He’ll take visits to Stanford, Washington and BYU before deciding on his school of choice.
