Yeah Isaac Nauta. This class Georgia is building is something I can’t blame any player for wanting to be a part of. Sure it’s easy to recruit when you’re winning but Kirby for sure knows how to sell the line of “come here and start something special.”

Isaac Nauta. That's it. He's a beast

It's easier to sell flash & hype vs results and Georgia's been doing that for years, pre-Kirby (*see the talent he inherited)..
But now it's the perfect storm, he's a Georgia alum with a long time Saban coaching tree connection (even with no HC experience).
So actually he's selling hype plus Alabama success to a talent rich state that he appears to be cherry picking from.
But he's yet to really win anything, consistently under pressure vs elite teams and be known as a 'National Recruiter' like Saban.
For now, it's still hype. We'll see if the hype turns real or into hope.

UGA uses their TEs more poorly in the passing game than we do. Ford would be wise to make the best decision for himself instead of following a Qb who may or may not ever start. Fromm has 2-3 more years after this and he isn’t giving Fields his job. Of course if the rumors of our staff being enamored by DWA are true, Ford may not even have a spot in this class.

I think UGA turns out to be a lot like Jimbo at FSU. Consistently recruiting well and in the title conversation more often than not without making it to the title except for once.
I think what Smart has done is impressive, but he also has an experienced team. Georgia had 77% of their offensive production return and 85% of their defensive production return. That combined puts them in the top 10 for production that returned this season.
Compare that to Bama who had 64% offense and 59% defense production return. That leaves us at #73 for combined return production.
I am as curious as anyone to see if UGA’s fortune is the result of great coaching or a lot of experience

On the same measurement, Syracuse aside, you can't help but be impressed with Dabo should they make the playoffs again. He took a team that is ranked #117 in offense/defense returning production and has them positioned for another playoff run.
I hate to say this, but Ohio St also deserves some credit, as they are ranked right along beside us at #72.
FSU was ranked #39 in returning production. Jimbo

Emory Jones to Alabama looking better?
Emory Jones has been talked a lot about in this space for the past several months, and for good reason. He is a quarterback, after all.
He also happens to be the Tide’s likeliest quarterback addition in the 2018 class. Confidence in Jones eventually joining Alabama is growing. He took an official visit to Ohio State this past weekend when the Buckeyes rallied back to beat Penn State in a thrilling win. When home teams win games like OSU did in that kind of fashion, it usually does wonders for recruiting, because not only is the stadium filled with excitement but so is the city.
In Jones’ situation, he also got to see Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett complete his final 13 passes and throw the game-winning touchdown with fewer than 2 minutes left on the clock.
Despite all of that, it doesn’t seem like Jones gave any indication to OSU that his recruitment is over.
“Generally speaking, I think there’s still some unease in Columbus,” Land of 10’s Ohio State recruiting reporter Jeremy Birmingham told SEC Country. “Ohio State has invested years into Jones and they’d hoped this official visit would put an end to any and all concerns about the status of his commitment. That didn’t happen.”
Birmingham said that the vibe he received from people in Columbus concerning Jones’ commitment to Ohio State hasn’t been positive, “despite no one being able to say specifically why it’s not.”
SEC Country was told by a source close to the Alabama program that Jones was actually texting with Tide coaches during his visit to Ohio State, which certainly isn’t a negative for the team’s chances of flipping him.
There also remains the possibility of the Under Armour All-American returning to Tuscaloosa this weekend for Alabama’s best remaining home game.
“Right now, it’s very safe to say that things are up in the air, and if Jones returns to Bama for the LSU game this weekend, it could signal the end of his time as an Ohio State commit,” Birmingham said.It needs to be noted that Ohio State has been upping its communication with Kentucky QB commit Jarren Williams. That certainly is a good sign for Alabama that the likelihood of Jones joining the Tide’s 2018 commitment list is growing.
