Two of the state's top uncommitted seniors, Justyn Ross of Central-Phenix City and Seth Williams of Paul Bryant, will be catching passes for Alabama in the 31st Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Football Game on Dec. 16.

Ross is the No. 1 prospect in the state according to the 247 composite rankings. Williams is No. 4. Both are also on AL.com's A-List of the top senior prospects.

Six wide receivers and one tight end were announced Saturday morning as members of the Alabama team.

Joining Ross and Williams are Auburn commit Shedrick Jackson of Hooverand Mississippi State commit Nathaniel Watson of Maplesville. Watson was chosen in the athlete position. The other receivers are Troy commit Demontrez Brown of Bob Jones and Anquaevious Pollard of Lanett.

The tight end is Michael Parker of Westminster Christian.

From al.com:

quote:

Jackson-Olin got a 2-yard touchdown run from Coynis Miller, the Mustangs’ star defensive lineman who is committed to Auburn and plays quarterback on short yardage situation.

That score, late in the first quarter, tied the game at 7-all. Miller barely played any more after that as he injured his knee. Vakakes thinks the injury actually happened sometime before the touchdown run. Miller did play another snap as a punt protector in the second quarter, but was not on the field when Williams ran over the Mustangs in the second quarter.

Paul Tyson threw five touchdown passes as Class 7A No. 4-ranked Hewitt-Trussville routed host Huntsville 45-3 at Milton Frank Stadium in a 7A, Region 4 game.

Tylson connected on two scoring tosses to Dazalin Worsham (42 and 24 yards) and a 52-yarder to Elliott McElwain, a 4-yarder to Lee Reagan and a 31-yarder to Cameron Bledsoe. The unbeaten Huskies (8-0, 6-0) also got a 52-yard touchdown run from Antonio Reed and a 20-yard field goal from Parker Colburn.

Jackson Bruno kicked a 32-yard field goal for the Panthers (4-4, 2-4).

Game ball: Tyson, a junior who transferred from Mountain Brook, completed 18-of-24 passes for 342 yards.

I can't figure out how to post a pic from Instagram here, but there's a photo out there of Tony Brown, Tua and Lil Tua in the locker room after today's win.

Staff doesn’t need me making excuses, but I wonder a bit if slow recruiting not only has to do with small class but possibly waiting to see what happens at Ole Miss (if another bowl ban).

Pics can be deceiving, but Lil doesn’t look any shorter than Tau in that pic.

Not a bad 18 minutes of work.

Hey man. I got several RAs on your post. You need to make it clear when you’re quoting someone else because it looked like you were saying that, and not a copy/paste from the LSU recruiting board.

Haha. Sorry about that. I assumed people would understand I was referring to TideSaint's link. You know what they say about assuming though. I'll be more clear next time.

Is Lil Tua regarded as a better QB?

He was three for more yards then The when both were in Hawaii. He has to be just as good from what I've seen.

The best part is he seems in love with our school from interviews.
