Dang, didn't even realize Carter will already be a Junior in 2018.
Sucks Diggs got banged up, he's the guy that most needs these reps.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Coynis Miller told Rivals.com that Florida tops his list, then it is Auburn No. 2 with Alabama landing at No. 3 right now.
The 6-foot-3, 295 pound defensive lineman out of Jackson-Olin talks about the two games he has seen Alabama play this year, why they are third on his list and more in this interview.
Since this interview was shot, Miller visited Alabama once more and he confirmed Monday that the Crimson Tide are still third on his list.

Damn. I guess this kid just really doesn't want to come to Alabama even though he grew up a Bama fan.

He's likely to be out 2-3 games.

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. — Paul Tyson has emerged this fall as one of the top quarterbacks in the 2019 class. The 6-foot-4, 205 pound junior out of Hewitt-Trussville is picking up big offers on a regular basis right now.
Wisconsin is the latest to offer. Before that it was Notre Dame. Kentucky got it all started in the spring. Duke, NC State and USC among others have offered in between.
Tyson talks about visits to Durham (N.C.) and Raleigh (N.C.), what the first offer from the Wildcats means to him, why the Irish and Badgers have his attention, if he has a favorite and more in this interview.

They probably won't rush him back either unless bodies keep dropping.
I love how Wallace has stepped up and became the man at CB, but I'm still disappointed Diggs couldn't find footing for 2018's sake.

When two-way lineman Jarrett Bell was offered a scholarship by Alabama following the Tide's Camp over the summer, it surprised a lot of people.
Bell, who committed to Bama in early August, had just started playing on the offensive line as a junior, didn't attend any other camps or combines and wasn't well known outside of the state. After seeing his impressive early senior film, Bell is showing why he earned that coveted offer and schools from all over the country are starting to take notice as well.
Bell is playing both left tackle and guard and is simply punishing opposing players. He's a physical kid who can dominate at the point of attack, shows good lateral mobility as a pass blocker and the athleticism to get to the second level as a run blocker and level a linebacker or safety.
On Saturday, Bell attended the UCLA- Colorado game and walked away with an offer from the Bruins.
"I talked with Coach (Hank) Fraley after the game and they offered me a scholarship," Bell said. "I'm still good with my commitment to Bama and stay in regular contact with the coaches but I still want to weigh all my options.
"I do have interest in UCLA, it's the local school so I was happy to get that offer. Coach Fraley told me they lost six offensive linemen so there's a chance to compete for playing time early so I'm going to consider them for sure."
It doesn't look like UCLA will be the last school to offer in the coming weeks either.
"Notre Dame and Oregon have been in close contact with me," Bell said. "Texas and USC have been talking to me too so things have really picked up. I haven't set up any official visits yet, I'm going to set up one with Bama soon but I've been so busy with school and football.
"I recently decided to graduate early so I'm taking nine classes right now. It was kind of a last minute decision but it will give me more time to develop my body as well as get a head start on learning my position."

I wonder if we'll make a run at this kid:

Former Ohio State player Eric Glover-Williams will soon enroll at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in an attempt to jump start his college career.
Glover-Williams left Ohio State this past September after playing the past two seasons for the Buckeyes. He was a four-star recruit coming out of Canton McKinley High School.
"Eric will start classes at Mississippi Gulf Coast on October 16," the player's father, Jerry Williams, told Scout.com. "We are hoping he can take the courses he needs on-line, but if he needs to go there he will do that."
"He is looking to get his degree this December, sign with a four-year institution, and be ready to enroll next January," he continued. "If he does everything he needs to do, Eric will be eligible to play next fall and will have two years of eligibility remaining."
"We have talked to a few four-year schools about Eric transferring to them, but they can't say much to him until he is officially enrolled on October 16," he added. "Even though things did not work out at Ohio State, there are no hard feelings and we wish Coach (Urban) Meyer and the Buckeyes all the best."
Glover-Williams played safety his first two years at Ohio State, but was switched to wide receiver prior to this season. He will not be playing football for MGCCC this season.

Coynis Miller quotes from BOL:
quote:
Did Miller get the right feel in Tuscaloosa last weekend?
“I can see myself (committing there), but I’m still looking just because,” Miller said.
According to the 6-foot-1, 300-pounder, Florida continues to lead, but Alabama has closed the gap with Auburn for No. 2.
“They’re probably tied in that second spot,” Miller said of the Tide.

Looking like Tennessee's top two commits are gonna be back on the market in Cade Mays and Brendon Harris. Also a 3* WR claims he's still committed but "open". Recruiting

It's such a great atmosphere. It's real classy there. It's a different atmosphere from other colleges. It's real loud. It's just real classy. That's how West Monroe is, so I really like it."
This was my favorite part of the Slade article. It felt like a subtle jab at a different fan base

This is a minor thing, but I noticed on several plays, after he had pancaked his man, he helped the other guy back up.
I like that. I wish we saw more of that, instead of showboating.

We need a 5 star defensive back in this class. I don't understand how that wouldn't be possible with all we're losing in the secondary.
Posted on 10/3/17 at 1:58 pm to Kcoyote
We don't need a five star anything. Just need to develop the ones on the bench.
