We completed a total of 20 passes against Fresno and three of those went to tight ends including one deep TD strike.
That's 15% of all completions in the game.

One of Alabama's top offensive targets in the 2018 class, four-star slot receiver Jaylen Waddle, is now trending to the Crimson Tide on the 247Sports Crystal Ball.
The last four predictions have gone the Tide's way, giving UA the majority 33 percent, followed by Florida State at 20 percent, Texas A&M, Texas, and "foggy" each at 13 percent.
Waddle made two separate trips to Tuscaloosa this summer, making it three times total he's made the trek to the Capstone.
“The competition, that was my favorite part out there," Waddle said of his time in T-Town. "It was different, way different. I liked how the Bama guys held each other accountable."
Earlier this week, BamaOnLine posted a VIP note indicating the Tide being in good standing to potentially land the elite wideout:
It’s been well established that four-star receiver Jaylen Waddle is a priority target in Alabama’s class, solidifying his standing in the Tide staff’s eyes during two separate trips to camp this past summer. The top slot receiver in America from Bellaire (Texas) Episcopal was in attendance for Alabama’s season opener against Florida State. BamaOnLine publisher Tim Watts reported in August that at least one source felt the Tide was in the lead for Waddle’s signature heading into the season, with others feeling UA is at the very least squarely in contention. Speaking with multiple people familiar with Waddle’s recruitment in the past week and it’s clear that Alabama has only strengthened its position for the elite wideout in recent weeks. One source feels it’s turning into a race between the Tide and the Seminoles, with others like Oregon, Texas, and Texas A&M trailing. Waddle has no timetable for a decision, but with the latest intel I feel comfortable placing a Crystal Ball pick in favor of the Tide.
At 5-foot-9.5, 175 pounds, Waddle is rated the No. 11 receiver and the No. 67 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

Vernon Jackson ready to announce his commitment
Vernon Jackson, a 3-star athlete from Boling (Texas) High School, was originally going to announce his commitment on Aug. 26, but then Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc on the Houston area.
Jackson and his family live about an hour outside of downtown Houston, but Boling was still hit hard by the storm. There were several homes in Jackson’s area that had damage from the flooding, but, thankfully, the recruit’s family was unharmed by the hurricane.
“It was pretty bad. I got lucky,” Jackson told SEC Country. “My house and a few others in my neighborhood were one of a few that didn’t have damage. It definitely changes my perspective on things now. It makes me more grateful for what I have. It was just a bad situation. I donated a lot of supplies, food and a whole bunch of other things to help others.”
Boling High School was closed for more than a week because of Harvey. Classes resumed on Monday. The school will hold a pep rally on Friday at 3:30 ET. During the pep rally, Jackson, one of Alabama’s top inside linebacker targets in the 2018 class, will announce his commitment. The exact time of when he’ll announce isn’t clear. All Jackson knows is he’ll announce his decision at some point during the celebration.
Jackson is down to three schools. Alabama, TCU and Texas A&M will have hats on the table when he makes his decision public. The key word there is public. Jackson said his mind was made up prior to his original commitment date on Aug. 26. He has already silently committed to his school of choice.
The good news for Alabama is that Jackson visited both TCU and Texas A&M the past two weeks. The Crimson Tide have been considered the favorite to land Jackson since July, so if his choice is Alabama, those trips to his two other finalists didn’t change his mind.
He broke down why he would choose each school:
On Alabama: “They have a great program. I like it a lot there. I really like the coaches. They’re great people. They treat everyone good. I feel like I will fit in well there. I don’t know exactly where I’m going to play just yet, but I feel like I’d be a good player there.”
On TCU: “My favorite coach [defensive line coach Zarnell Fitch] is there. He’s been recruiting me the longest. That was my first scholarship. I like the coaches and the campus a lot.”
On Texas A&M: “It’s a good program. It’s close to home. I know a lot of guys there.”
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound prospect has an interesting recruitment because all three of his finalists are recruiting him at different positions. The Crimson Tide want him at inside linebacker, the Horned Frogs are recruiting Jackson at defensive end and the Aggies want him at running back.
Jackson, who plays quarterback at his school, believes he can succeed at all three positions. How does he compare his three choices when they each want him at different positions?
“At first, they were all of sort of the same,” Jackson said. “I basically sat down with all of the head coaches and asked them which position I would be the best at and get on the field the fastest. That’s what I’m looking for. I want to go somewhere where I can play the soonest. That was a question I asked all of the coaches, and they said if I’m one of the best players, then I’m going to play.”
Alabama also likes JJ Peterson, the nation’s No. 1 outside linebacker, at inside linebacker in this class. I expect the Tide to sign Peterson, too, when he makes his commitment.
Tide fans should tune in to SEC Country around 3:30 ET because I fully expect Alabama to be Jackson’s choice when he makes his commitment.
What kind of player would the team be getting if Jackson signs with Alabama?
“He’s special and freaky,” Boling coach Kevin Urbanek told SEC Country. “He’s 6-foot-3 and weighs over 240 pounds, but he moves like a skill kid. You watch him on film sometimes and you just ask yourself how he made that cut or how he does what he does at that size. He’s a special freak. That’s what I call him.”

It's not really related to our recruiting, but did anyone see the tweets between Jackson Carman and Kirk Herbstreit regarding Ohio State?
Here's an article about it:
LINK

Here's an article about it:
quote:
On top of Ohio State losing to Oklahoma 31-16 last weekend, two of the Buckeyes’ top targets surprisingly questioned coach Urban Meyer’s decision to stick with struggling J.T. Barrett at quarterback instead of replacing him with Dwayne Haskins.
Five-star defensive end Micah Parsons and five-star offensive lineman Jackson Carman, who were both in Columbus for the game, took to Twitter to show support for replacing Barrett, a clear rip of Meyer’s decision to stay with Barrett for the Buckeyes’ game against Army this week.
Parsons has since apologized for his post but Carman has not, actually doubling down this week and getting in a back-and-forth with ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit on social media.
When Herbstreit responded to someone’s comment about Carman’s post, the five-star offensive lineman tweeted back to Herbstreit: “Pretty sure I wouldn’t have any problems in Dabo Swinney’s or Clay Helton’s locker room for my opinion on OSU’s QB issues.”
Carman, who has Ohio State, USC and Clemson as a top three, might be right.
So is this a case of two high-level prospects getting caught up in the moment and expressing opinions without understanding the consequences? Is this in the long run much ado about nothing?
Or should Ohio State cut and run as fast as possible and focus more on players that not only trust in their possible future coaching staff but don’t question their judgments even before getting on campus?

Tommy Bush considering Auburn official visit
To understand Tommy Bush’s recruitment, let’s first take a look back at his southeast-wide tour he took earlier this year.
In a two-week span, Bush and his parents went to a dozen different ACC and SEC schools throughout the southeast. Many of those schools were easy to overlook. With so much to see in such little time, Bush had to find certain things that stood out to him. It was information overload.
In the end, Alabama made a major impression. Georgia surprised him. Bush felt comfortable at Florida State. But those three programs are recruiting at an elite level right now, so many prospects fall in love with those places based on reaction more than true feeling.
That’s what made the fourth school he mentioned seem like an outlier.
“Auburn was really good,” Bush said. “I loved the staff and how they took their time with me. … I talk too them very often. I talk to coach (Kodi) Burns a lot. He’s been in touch with me pretty frequently. He’s in touch with my mom and dad all the time. I really like what they’re doing there. He’s talking to us at least three or four times a week.”
Dating back to his initial visit to Auburn, Bush has felt like a priority.
The Tigers have told him they’re in search of some big, tall wide receivers. Justyn Ross and Seth Williams immediately come to mind as in-state guys. But, by the sound of things, Auburn is putting in just as much effort for the Texas prospect.
“Coach Burns was saying that the tallest wide receiver they have is 6-foot-2. They’re saying that I could be the guy to take the top off the defense for them,” Bush said. “I know when I was there for Big Cat Weekend, they were talking a lot about Justyn Ross. I know he’s a big target for them. When I sat down with Coach Malzahn, he said he believes I could do big things for them because they don’t have anyone with my size and speed there.”
So now the question comes: Will Auburn receive another visit?
Bush told SEC Country a few weeks ago that it’s “definitely being discussed.” But he’s likely only to take official visits going forward. With a top 15, he has to narrow it down to the five programs who will definitely received official visits.
Nebraska is the only guarantee to get one when he takes that visit on Oct. 6. Alabama has a strong chance, as well, but Bush is still trying to work all the specifics out on the rest.
Bush’s first reaction about whether Auburn would get one is promising for the Tigers.
“Absolutely,” he said.
Then Bush amended his comment on that, which makes the next few weeks for Auburn so important as it tries to work out kinks in its passing game.
“I’m thinking about them really, really hard,” Bush said. “I know Coach (Gus) Malzahn is doing good things down there. I’m still looking at their season, though. I’m looking to see what they do, so I can figure out where I want to go on these visits.”

Remember, Chris Kirschner predicted Bush would sign with Alabama earlier this week.

More stuff from the Auburn side of things:

@Ellitor_AU: Not counting Zakoby McClain for the moment, who’s next on Auburn’s linebacker shopping list after Quay Walker, JJ Peterson and Channing Tindall?
This probably isn’t the answer you’re looking for, but I’ll give it anyway: You hit the high points.
McClain, as has been documented, needs a little more time to make a decision. His inconsistency with following up on visits might have programs like LSU and Auburn looking in other directions for the meantime. But don’t rule out McClain landing at either place down the road.
Walker is a flip candidate with Florida State and Georgia is firmly in the mix, as well. JJ Peterson (Alabama) and Channing Tindall (South Carolina) are thought to be leans in other directions, so it makes sense that your question is kind of: What happens if Auburn happens to miss on all these guys?
I’m not sure they’d be forced to do anything. Auburn is building a deep, elite linebacker group. Just take a look at the linebackers the Tigers have brought in the last four years (ranked by position).
No. 2 Tre’ Williams
No. 3 Tadarian Moultry
No. 8 Jeff Holland
No. 10 Montavious Atkinson
No. 12 Darrell Williams
No. 13 Richard McBryde
No. 15 KJ Britt
No. 21 Deshaun Davis
No. 21 Chandler Wooten
No. 27 Tre Threat
No. 138 Robert Muschamp
That’s all of them. Every linebacker the Tigers have taken since the Class of 2014. Obviously, including Muschamp as the outlier, every Auburn linebacker commit has been ranked No. 27 or better at their position in their given recruiting class. In the 2018 class, Michael Harris is ranked No. 11 at his position, so he fits in the middle of this trend.
Because of Harris’ presence, Auburn is likely to look more at outside linebacker than inside linebacker in the rest of this class.
Here are the relevant options in the top 30.
No. 1 JJ Peterson
No. 2 Adam Anderson
No. 5 Channing Tindall
No. 7 Otis Reese
No. 11 Quay Walker
No. 16 Zakoby McClain
No. 2o David Reese
No. 29 Quin Williams
Obviously you already had Peterson, Tindall, Walker and McClain checked off the list. So the other four on the list — Anderson, Otis Reese, David Reese and Williams — are the ones to watch closely, assuming we’re sticking by the Tigers’ trend to bring in exclusively elite linebacker talent, as projected by 247Sports composite rankings.
The Reeses’ are long shots. Otis is committed to Michigan. He visited an Auburn practice this spring, so there is mutual interest there, but the same can be said for Georgia and likely a few other programs. David is committed to Florida and hasn’t shown signs of interest in Auburn. With that said, David’s relationship with Richard Jibunor is a big reason why he visited Gainesville. Maybe Auburn could work to get David to so the same.
That leaves Anderson and Williams.
Anderson is a lot like Peterson, Tindall and Walker in that he might be leaning elsewhere, for now, but Auburn is in the mix of the top two or three schools in consideration. He made his last visit of the summer contact period, and it’ll be interesting to see when he makes it back for a game. This decision could be drawn out, so Auburn will remain in the mix until Anderson commits.
Williams has been in communication with Auburn throughout the recruiting class, but not as much lately. He’s a name to track just in case.

This is the play he's talking about
This is why reo45 said he looked slow and was walked down by Hill. #30 is Hill, #1 2019 safety. Pay no attention to the move to get around the other defender. Slade was in a dead sprint and 30 just ran him down...

Auburn visitors for their game against Mercer this weekend that are relevant to us:
Pierce Quick
Clay Webb
I wish he was coming to our game with Coynis Miller, but at least Miller isn't going to the Auburn game with him.

Uncommitted 2020 target for Auburn
Unranked linebacker Quandarrius Robinson, Birmingham, Ala.
Robinson attended the Georgia Southern game, as well. He attends the same high school as Auburn linebacker TD Moultry and Tigers defensive tackle target Coynis Miller. At 6-foot-4, he is starting to look like someone with a grown man’s body, yet he’s only in his sophomore season at Jackson-Olin High.
Auburn going 2-for-2 with Robinson in attendance for home games shows the Tigers are narrowing in on another future prospect from the same school. Could Jackson-Olin become a pipeline?
