Probably nonsense but folks on Twitter saying Clemson is a sleeper team for surtain jr. I don't give it much credence because it's not from any reputable source but a few people have tweeted about it. Anyone have any idea if they are really still even in it?

There is some scuttlebutt about Miami and Surtain after his visit. I think it's honestly LSU and then Bama. I think he sees a path to starting at Bama sooner but CR may be too much to overcome.
This is all speculation I in no way have any real knowledge of the situation.

Baby Bear Bryant congratulated Baby Barker on committing to Bama.

Surtain
I forget if it got posted here, but Surtain apparently may start telling staffs tonight what his decision is. That's according to Shea at 247.

Well if that's true and it's Alabama we will likely know tomorrow because LSU leaks information more than Bama sites seem to.

It's lsu or bama for surtain Miami and Clemson are out of it. I still feel strongly that it will be lsu

Supposedly, a guy from Florida cb'd Surtain to LSU just a little bit ago. I guess we'll know if CB's start rolling in

So how does it work for a guy who's really not in on the situation like Florida? They hear some news from a source that one school is likely so they CB them there?

I imagine it's just throwing shite against the wall and hoping it sticks. LSU is the safer guess, but no one knows anything yet. Hell, if I had a crystal ball pick, I'd give it to LSU too

Idk. I suspect some of those guys may talk to each other. I suspect some may just read the tea leaves and/or follow suit with the herd or guys they figure are well connected for that recruit.

If Hank or TWatts puts their picks in for LSU, then I would give up. Until then, we got a chance

I see alot of chatter for LSU

Where are you seeing this?

Just reading forums and news articles. No insider info here

I doubt Surtain, his dad or the Bama staff will leak it if Bama gets news on his decision --expected tonight or tomorrow. A leak is more likely from the LSU or Miami camp, imo.
Tim Watts has connections and doesn't place picks for Bama targets until he's very confident. He may learn the scoop, but not disclose his pick until Wed morning (or at all), if it's supposed to be kept on the DL.

Sucks if we turned down ITS to end up with neither one of these five stars.

JJ and Barmore have grade issues too.
Heard the guy that put the CB in for LSU is pretty connected to recruits from the state of Florida.
If Brown flips and no 5 star CB sign, this class is a massive disappointment.
Doesn't matter where this class is ranked, the main thing for this class was to address needs at DL, mainly DT and at DB.

Saint, how did it go with the Hitler problem?

It amazes me that so many highly talented HS football players don't bother to take academics seriously enough to make sure they'll qualify.
