One of the LSU mods CB'd Eddie Smith to Mississippi State last night as well.
Only one reason that would happen, and it isn't b/c he prefers not to play for championships

I hope that's the case, meaning we're poised to land 2 of Surtain, ITS, and Griffin.

Staff visits for tomorrow:
- Saban is making his in-home visit with Quay Walker.
- Pete Golding is seeing LB Jaylen Moody. Moody is our only scheduled official visitor for this weekend.
I think wed is moving day with Saban visiting Walker.
He has to let the staff knows if he in or out.
If he's in we will be asking him to cancel the UGA visit.
QB-
After watching as much film as I could find I think this kid gonna surprise a few people. He has a very nice delivery and
arm strength is much stronger than what most people are saying. He set up and delivery is well polished for a kid that young.
He finished at the same school the former Miami Qb brad kaaya played at.
kaaya came into Miami as a true freshmen and won the job and showed a very high Football I.Q.
I think Brevin has the frame to get much bigger and has shown nice accuracy.Because of his academics
he can enrolled right now .which helps him and our offensive staff if jalen decides to leave.
That may be the main reason he ahead of Purdy.

Mississippi State just got another CB for Eddie Smith and USC just picked up one for Julius Irvin.

Noooooo, really want Smith. Too much akin to EJ!

Sam Spiegelman still has him CB to bama. He's locked in with Louisiana kids and close to some of the ones at msu and a couple who signed with msu this year so he's a CB to watch

But Saban visiting (Irvin)the day before an announcement must mean we really like this kid.
As for Smith I think if Irvin chooses USC then Smith gets the green light to commit.
ITS seems to be a silent at this point with banks closing the deal on a kid who was a BAMA lean a year ago.

If Smith doesn't come to Bama, it's because he doesn't have a spot.

Someone help me feel good about getting this kid. Would be a great get, but it seems like everyone has him going some place other than Bama except us. What's the driver behind our optimism?

Idk what's driving Bama optimism, but per that UF SEC Country article TS posted this morning NPF's HS coach is very involved and influential in NPF's decision process. He could be trouble if he favors UF, ND or OSU. Iirc, acdemics is important to NPF.

Will this be the most drama we have had on NSD in years? Seems like a lot of exciting possibilities. I just hope we get some good surprises and not a run of our back-up plans that seem to be surfacing by the day.

Look at getting a pressure cooker and making a mini still. Directions are online.
Run it outside with a side burner on your grill. Then move your way up to a bigger still.

Got to think these back up plans wouldn't be happening if the staff was confident in landing some of these stud players.

It's just smart recruiting. During the dead period, coaches continue to recruit via phone all the way thru NSD. Kids may even flip on NSD. It's foolish to not have backups.

True, but when offers are going out a week or two before NSD, it raises a bit of a red flag.

Thought NSD would be boring after December. Boy was I wrong. Has to be the most exciting since the 2014-15 class at least

QB Brevin White breaks down Alabama visit
quote:
Alabama sent out a late offer to Princeton quarterback commit Brevin White last week and the signal caller took an official visit over the weekend.
"It was an incredible visit, I'm really glad I had a chance to experience it," White said. "I would say the highlight was probably having breakfast at coach Saban's house and being in that environment with the rest of the coaches.
"It was all a pretty surreal feeling sitting across from the best college football coach in the country, it was pretty crazy to take in. The whole visit was great though. From being at the basketball game in that crazy atmosphere, seeing the Business School and breaking down film with the coaches, it was a really eye opening experience."
White said he was able to spend some quality time with both new Tide QB coach Dan Enos and new OC Mike Locksley.
"Coach Enos actually got there the same day I did," White said. "I had some good talks with both coach Enos and coach Locksley. We went over film, drew up plays on the chalkboard and just talked football and that was fun for me.
"They talked about the offense they plan to run and they basically said no matter who the OC is, it's Nick Saban's offense. They're going to adjust and tailor it to the quarterback and his skill set and there will be some wrinkles in there depending on who the OC but end of the day, Alabama is going to run a physical, pro-style offense and I think I fit it pretty well."
Meeting Alabama's well renowned strength coach Scott Cochran was another highlight for White.
"To be honest, meeting coach Cochran was one of my favorite parts of the trip," White said. "The way they do things there is incredible in their approach and attention to detail. His philosophy is about training the mind and the body together and the resources they have to elevate your performance really opened my eyes to why they're so successful.
"Coach Saban was very upfront and honest with me and he told me they like me and want me to be their guy. He didn't give me a deadline or anything in terms of when I need to let them know what I'm going to do but I'm not going to drag this out. I know they need an answer so they can move on to another quarterback if I decide to stay with Princeton."
White said he has been wrestling with the decision since the trip ended.
"It's a very tough decision to make," White said. "The trip was even better then I expected and I already had really high expectations. My head is kind of spinning right now. On one hand, it would be a dream to run out of a stadium with 100,000 screaming fans and knowing you're going to be competing for a National Championship almost every year you're at the school.
"Then you have Princeton and all they have to offer. Another dream I've had is to work on Wall Street for at least a year and experience that life. I want to major in Business and go in to investment banking and a degree from Princeton can open up so many doors. These two schools are truly the best of both worlds, they're the best in the country in their area of strength.
"I've talked to a lot of people over the last 48 hours, family, coaches and friends and I've gotten a lot of good advice about why both schools are a great fit for me. Right now, the plan is to take the next few days and try my best to figure out what I should do. I know I'm going to have regrets with whatever school I don't choose but it's two great options and I'm thankful for the opportunity."
