Bentleys' Junior highlights are what I like seeing for a LB.
The ballcarrier doesn't advance after Bentley makes contact, he stone walls them or drives them back.
I'd feel better if he hadn't transferred in to that Auburn feeder school.

That's the most vague statement on the situation. There's no context given and it comes imediately after stating:
There's no info on the allegations, results of the investigation, etc. Sexual assault can be anything from rape to smacking a girls arse like that Michigan player.
Better off waiting until we know what occurred than going off on Dantonio.

Alabama looking into adding grad transfer kicker | al.com
Note: LSU has already taken a grad transfer kicker.

Alabama may soon add some more competition for its starting kicker job.
The Crimson Tide is looking into Temple graduate transfer Austin Jones, who will visit Alabama this weekend, his high school coach, Andy Johnson, told AL.com.
Jones was widely regarded as one of the top kickers in the American Athletic Conference before suffering an ACL injury midway through the 2016 season. While he was recovered for this past season, Temple went with a younger kicker who had kicked well enough in 2016 after Jones got hurt that he earned second-team all-conference recognition.
So Jones decided to leave Temple following the season and Alabama is one of the primary schools being considered as a transfer option.
LSU and Tulane are among the other schools that have been in contact.
"He just wants an opportunity to kick," Johnson said.
Jones had been Temple's kicker since his freshman year prior to suffering the injury.
The Florida native has made at least 80 percent of his field goals each of the last three seasons, including 82.1 percent in 2015 (23 of 28) and 83.3 percent in 2016 before getting hurt (10 of 12).
Alabama has been in contact since last week after Jones participated in some sort of kicking camp, Johnson said.
Though the Tide hasn't offered a scholarship yet, Jones would be open to transferring to Alabama even if he has to be a walk-on, Johnson said.
If he does land with the Tide, he would compete with redshirt freshman Joseph Bulovas for the kicker job vacated by Andy Pappanastos.
"Austin's probably not as flashy as some of these younger guys and may not be good from 50-plus (yards), but I think he's going to be very consistent and he's going to get you the points," Johnson said. "Those 40- to 48-yard field goals that you've got to have to win, I think he'll be good for those. And then obviously the shorter stuff, he should be good, too. I just think he'll be a really steady kicker and do a really good job."
Note: LSU has already taken a grad transfer kicker.

Insight into decision of 5-star Quay Walker as rivals target Alabama commit | al.com
quote:
Quay Walker isn't like the other Alabama targets for the Feb. 7 national signing day.
The nation's No. 2 outside linebacker is being heavily pursued by Georgia, Tennessee and others. He's set to make an official visit Auburn over the weekend.
Walker is also committed to Alabama. That pledge went public in June, but a lot has changed since then. Primary recruiters Jeremy Pruitt and Derrick Ansley have moved on to new jobs since then -- Pruitt to rival Tennessee where Walker visited in early January.
The five-star recruit ranked No. 31 by 247Sports is set to sign his paperwork on signing day at Crisp County (Ga.) High School.
"The other schools involved with the recruiting of Quay at this moment are doing a great job selling their product," said Brad Harber, Walker's high school coach. "What I can say at this time is Quay has never decommitted from Alabama. But obviously, he's interested in exploring options."
Walker made an official visit to Tuscaloosa over the weekend for the national championship parade and ceremony. There's also been a steady stream of coaches visiting his school -- between three and five per day, his coach said.
The whole process is "maybe a little aggravating" to Walker, Harber said, but he's handled it well to this point. The addition of the early signing period in December makes the focus even more intense on the unsigned players for the traditional Feb. 7 signing day.
Harber said Walker told him early in the recruiting cycle that he intended to wait for the February signing day to make it official.
A lot has been made about the departure of Pruitt and Ansley and its impact on Walker's ultimate decision.
"I don't know that it makes a tremendous impact in that Quay is an intelligent young man," Harber said. "He's been around football a long time and watched football for a long time. He's a smart young man, so he knows coaches kind of come and go sometimes. If you're choosing a coach because of one or two coaches, you might make a decision you may regret. I think he's doing a good job, not only looking at the coaches, but the living situation, the football side of things, the academic side of things, and that's why I think he's doing a great job."
Walker is a fast riser in the recruiting rankings. When he committed, Walker was the No. 162 prospect. Now, he's up to No. 31.
Quay Walker highlights (youtube)
Alabama currently has the No. 6 signing class in the 247Sports composite. That includes just one five-star in December signee Eyabi Anoma, a defensive end from Baltimore. Ohio State recently nosed ahead of Georgia for the top-spot in the team rankings that Alabama's claimed each of the last seven years.

Quay Walker's HS coach talks like he doesn't try to influence his choice, but just gives him some general guidance on the key things to consider and evaluate. I like that.
Walker's recruitment reminds me of LaBryan Ray's, except that Walker committed to Bama early. Ray methodically evaluated Bama, UT and UF (late OVs), then made his decision known to the three schools HCs just before NSD.
My son coached Labryan in HS. "He's a great kid, very smart, best person I've ever coached, I love him." Ray made it clear he wouldn't tell him or anyone if he had a favorite among those three, because it was his life, his choice to make.
Saban/Bama did a great job recruiting him.

Biggest risers, fallers in the final 247Sports Composite Ranking
quote:
The final national rankings for the 247Sports Composite are set.
With a last update of the rankings from across the country, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite is finalized. With less than two weeks to go until National Signing Day, Ohio State holds a slight lead in the team rankings for the No. 1 spot. You can see the strength of the Buckeyes' class below, where a number of their commitments moved up. But Ohio State, like nearly everyone else, did also suffer some losses.
In terms of notable individual moves, there are five new four-star prospects (Maurice Washington, Daniel Faalele, Bryce Thompson, Jordan Miner and Jerome Ford). On the other end of the spectrum, four prospects lost their four-star distinction in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Here's a look at the biggest movers, both up and down, from the 247Sports Composite update.

Like worse kicker Saban has had awful. That is saying something.
Heard a while back from a former player that Bulovas was really struggling.
Surely he will get processed, right ?

I read that he has good kickoff leg-leg strength, but has trouble getting FG kicks to rise quickly. He's already on scolarship, so hopefully Banks can help fix his mechanics.
Edited: Forgot NCAA now mandates 4-year scholarships.
