Christian Barmore is the best DT in this class and look at how they've rated him.

i think its funny how every site has Bobby Brown a mid to bottom end 4* but our staff went after him like hes a 5 star #1 target. I wonder why but I trust our staff.

Generally speaking, CFB coaches are 1,000X better than recruiting sites are at evaluating talent. Saban and his staff are outstanding at it.

The recruiting sites' primary objectives are site traffic-driven ad and subscription revenues and profitability.

If by Bama you mean the Theta Chi Intramural team then yes.

Bone was a helluva high school player, though.

Im not obsessing about stars here. Im stating facts, I trust our evaluations but it still makes me wonder. Recruit rankings will never be an exact science. We talk about star ratings everyday and all links we look at call a player by their star rating. 5* CB Patrick Surtain

Lucky just CB'd Justyn Ross to Alabama.

One of the 84 Ohio State mods did too.

Level of competition was not great. I wouldn’t exactly call him a great athlete, but maybe I’m just hating on him for all the other reasons there are to hate in him.

WR at Rainbow City. Played with Brodie, if I remember correctly.

Bobby Brown plans to be in College Station the weekend before NSD on an unofficial visit.

He was younger but he played at Westbrook. Was a freshman and sophomore I think on the Brodie teams.

Bone is good people. I don't follow recruiting at all anymore until the end, so I don't really read him much and don't know what his reputation is (I know it's mixed, to say the least), but he used to be fun to have around the fraternity house in the old, early recruiting internet site days. That was the Tebow/Spikes year with Shula. He was pumping out articles on the computer in the house library. I don't know how he got any school work done.

Let's hope they can get him to cancel that.

Agree, but I’d say Julio, Coop, and Ridley are every bit as good of a selling point for Bama

CU since Dabo has been there as there HC and working with WRs has had 5 drafted in the top 4 rounds with 3 in the 1st rd. with a total of 1 pro bowl appearance. UA has had 4 in that same time frame with 2 in the 1st and 6 pro bowl appearances with Ridley coming out this year we ill be right there with WR development.

Pruitt may be great, he also may be terrible. He'll likely be somewhere in the middle. Some success but nothing like Saban and Alabama. Kids who want to taste greatness know they can find it at Alabama. Going to UT right now is like gambling...maybe it works out, maybe you go 8-4 your whole career. Why gamble?

I see Pruitt as someone who can turn the program around but how far will depend on how much Fulmer interferes with him. Phil is going to be so hands on I doubt Pruitt will put up with it. Also he is basically rebuilding from scratch and is going to need 4 or 5 years to get that program competing again for titles. Their fans seem to think 2 years and will be very unhappy come year 3 when UGA is still top dog and UF is still ahead of them. I see Pruitt doing a great job getting them back in the east and around year 4 get them to multiple 8 or 9+ win seasons and bolt for a better HC job with less stress if Fulmer can not stay out of his way and the fans are not patient. A grad transfer kicker, Austin Jones from Temple, may be visiting this weekend. He is 50/67 in his career.
