Plaquemine safety prospect Todd Harris decided to make his announcement on NSD, and while he has a top four of LSU, Alabama, Arizona State and TCU, it really comes down to the two SEC foes. LSU and Alabama have always been the top two choices for Harris, and him leaving the state looks unlikely at this stage, although nothing should be tabbed as shocking anymore. The Tigers made a strong push in recent weeks, and the buzz is that he is leaning to stay home. Sticking with LSU on this one.

Alabama and Devonta Smith look to be a thing again, despite news hitting this weekend that Alabama wide receiver coach Billy Napier was taking the offensive coordinator position at Arizona State. A report surfaced on Monday that Smith, along with two other Alabama targets, made a trip to Alabama over the weekend. When it became evident that the dynamic receiver cancelled his official visit to Miami this weekend, it also came with some information that Alabama could be the culprit.

Just to keep things balanced, let's stick to the theme of uncertainty. LSU's pursuit of edge rushers K'Lavon Chaisson and Markaviest Bryant has them firmly in the mix for their services, with the chances of landing at least one of them being reasonable in nature. Bryant took a visit to Auburn this weekend, and Georgia continues to make a strong push. LSU had momentum, and it sounds like they may be able to hold on. Not much seems to have changed in recent days with Bryant, so I'm sticking with LSU.
Chaisson remains a possibility, but I'm more confident with Bryant at this point. Chaisson always seemed to be searching for another school, as LSU did everything they could to seal the deal, and that still appears to be the case. Chaisson to Texas still feels likely.

In short, safety Todd Harris, defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis, defensive lineman Marvin Wilson, edge rusher Markaviest Bryant and linebacker Tyler Taylor warrant the highest level of confidence of the remaining prospects on LSU's board.

Potential YUGE finish for them.

I wonder what the numbers will be for the 18 class. With two blueshirts taking spots, Byers coming next year and Ruggs' little brother coming as a package deal, that is 4 spots taken up from the 17 class.
The rest of the class needs to be lights out.

Newberg still thinks Ruggs to FSU. Nee is sticking with Ruggs to Bama.

Oh yeah you the "last push!" Dumbass that thought we should have pushed for Akers a couple days before Najee showed up in Tuscaloosa and Can showed up at FSU.
Just one last push!
That last push would have made Najee flip.

Yeah I know it's part of the game....sometimes I wish we used dirty tactics like some of these schools and recruits do but at the same time I'm glad we are the classiest program in the nation.

...SEC Country confirmed with a source close to the program that both of Alabama’s 4-star wide receiver targets, DeVonta Smith and Henry Ruggs III, were in Tuscaloosa on Sunday. That was the only way for Alabama to see them before signing day because the contact period ended Saturday night. Recruits were allowed to visit schools on Sunday during the quiet period...

Anyone know if the mods can grant editing rights to a post to two or more normal posters?

The numbers will be tight next year. I doubt we'll be able to bring in a full 25 but never doubt the master. Saban always makes the numbers work somehow.

We will sign a full 25 next year.
