They have us taking 27. I think we have room for 28, so I'm gonna say we take either another WR or LB.
Jeff Thomas or Chase Young.

Let them pick Smith to LSU, they will simply be wrong on the end. Has been going to Bama since the day he decommitted from Georgia. Write that one down in pen..........

I hope he goes to LSU. I'm not sure he is even a top 100 player

He won't be in the final rankings. His decision to go to IMG will be the worst thing for him.

I've been out of the recruiting loop for quite some time. Could somebody catch a brother up on what's been going on?

We ahave our QB, our 5 star RB (#1 overall player), our 5 star OT, our top JUCO OT, JUCO ILB, 2 of the best OLB's, the number 1 kicker. We need to get Shaun Wade 5 star corner, a top rated safety, lots of DL, lots of WR's including our number 1 target Jerry Jeudy, and finish our interior OL class. Then we will be done.

One thing that I DO know is that we aint just taking 4 on the DL this time. Whatever numbers people may have for us, adjust them up from 4 DL. That's about as safe a bet as it gets in this recruiting cycle.

Yea good luck with that prayer dude lol

I just want us to get Marvin Wilson and Akail Byers for our DTs.
I think Akail Byers is very underrated. He has great film. I dont know how 247 can rate him as a 3-star and that is probably what is hurting his composite score.

Is it really necessary for us to take 4 linebackers, our linebacker class has been pretty stacked for the past 2 classes, i know we have atleast two lb's leavin this year but I figured we would have enough for it to not be a major need?

Sounds like Pruitt is not that high on a couple that are on the team currently.

We need some long, lean guys at OLB like Tim Williams and Christian Miller. I'm hoping Chris Allen can fill that role even though he plays inside for his high school team.

Read the article about Bama's potential class. If OSU could sign 25, I think they would have a great shot to be the #1 class.
They could realistically end the cycle with 3 top 10 players and 8 5*s, not counting Martell who is 247s first guy away from 5*. Myers, Wade (if he sticks of course), Browning, Okudah, Grimes, Lindsay, Young and Akers. I think they fell great about 4 (Myers, Okudah Grimes and Linsday), and feel good, not great, about the others.
Seems like OSU/Bama are really only battling for the Wades and Young right now. Akers to a much lesser extent if Bama is even still in on him.

Akers will end up in Oxford unfortunately.

Jacoby Stevens is a workout warrior, so, of course, the best part of his visit to Alabama last week centered around what he does best — working out.
Stevens, a 5-star safety from Oakland High School (Murfreesboro, Tenn.), told SEC Country that he had a chance to work out in the Crimson Tide’s indoor facility with defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley and offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin.
“I got a lot of good feedback from Coach Ansley. He and Coach Kiffin said I did really well,” Stevens said. “Those guys gave a nice head nod to my game.”
Stevens was under a watchful eye from Ansley. Stevens said Ansley called him one of the best defensive backs he’s seen this year. Ansley has been recruiting Stevens ever since he was at Kentucky and the recruit was a freshman in high school.
“He really wants me,” Stevens said of Ansley. “He can see that I have a lot of talent and I could be very good under his coaching and reach my goals and dreams with his help. He also reminded me that he was recruiting me when he was at Kentucky and I was a freshman. Our relationship goes way back.”
But even with Ansley having a longstanding relationship with Stevens, so do several other coaches in his top 7, such as Auburn’s Rhett Lashlee, Georgia’s Mel Tucker and LSU’s Austin Thomas. At one point, the Bulldogs were Stevens’ leader. They no longer hold the top spot. Every school is on an equal level.
The nation’s No. 1 safety is playing his recruitment close to the vest.
“Alabama is a pretty good school. It’s a school that I am definitely considering at this point,” Stevens said. “I can’t really say what Alabama’s chances of getting me are. I can’t say it’s a great or bad chance right now because I need to go back in the lab and compare all of the schools.”
He plans on making trips to Tennessee, Clemson and LSU before he makes a commitment, which he says will happen next month. He said a commitment will be made to one of his seven schools: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Clemson and Florida State.
“Every school is just about the same,” Stevens said. “They all have former NFL players, especially in the SEC. The facilities are out of this world, which help the players out. They have athletic trainers and nutritionists. So I would say that Alabama offers the same things that these other SEC schools offer.”
It’s going to be a battle for Alabama to win his commitment, but the Crimson Tide are squarely in the mix now after his visit to Tuscaloosa.

Although he might not be ready to decide which college he will attend, Dylan Moses has no problems declaring which team he is rooting for this fall.
Moses, a 5-star linebacker from IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) and the nation’s No. 2 prospect, is one of the most sought-after recruits in the Class of 2017. Among the many top programs vying for his commitment are two SEC programs that are near the top of his list — LSU and Alabama.
That’s why it comes as a bit of a surprise that Moses declared on Twitter which team he wants to win it all in 2016.
LSU initially offered Moses when the rising star was only 13 years old, and landed his commitment in 2013. Since then, however, Moses has de-commited from the Tigers, leaving the door open for the likes of Alabama and Texas to get into the mix.
Did the 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker tip his hat with this message, or is the Baton Rouge native simply rooting for his hometown team? Perhaps time will tell.

Even with their NCAA problems? It's so strange that every school in the south says it, when you guys have great recruiters there. It must kinda be true
