I really like Cowan, not afraid to take a shot at guys like Akers.....

Benton coming, Ignont now behind Rice, but Rice needs to wait to see where Allen, Beal, Moses, McBride end up. Afraid he simply may get caught up in the numbers game

McBride is going to Georgia. We shouldn't even waste our time with him. Kirby taking the job ended that recruitment.

Dang,I missed an e fight! Lol I've said all along that Brian Robinson was extremely underrated and he is a stud! Kind of reminds me of Shaun Alexander. I would take Robinson over Akers. We already have a back like him anyway in Bj Emmons. Same measurables, except Emmons is a better receiver out of the back field. Akers has more power though. Robinson just has that great vision to see the holes like Shaun Alexander. Has the same speed as well. Alexander didn't get caught from behind hardly at all. I don't care if he doesn't end up a 5 star or not, all I know is he is a heck of a back and will kill it at Bama. On Isiah Buggs,he did an interview last week saying that playing time us his main facor and he is looking at depth charts. He said Bama had lost a lot of guys and he only has 2 yrs to play,so he will go where there is playing time. Not saying he signs with us, but with us being thin we have a real good shot.

Yeah Mcbride is all Uga. With Benton commiting today,I hope we finish up the lb class with Allen (very good chance ),and Rice/Moses. I think things have changed with Ignot,rumors about when he was at Img and us getting Benton will have him at the barn or Uga. As far as Rice and Moses goes, like I said earlier I really like Rice and think Moses is overrated as of right now. I want to see how he does against better competition at Img before I make my final opinion on him. I would take Rice over Moses right now.

No offense, but Akers is better than both Robinson and Emmons. It doesn't make them bad players, Akers is just that good. If he wasn't in the same class as Harris he'd be the #1 RB in the country hands down.

Question for TS, or anyone. I don't know anything about Akers first of all, but do you think his talent supercedes his possible "me first" attitude on the team. All of our backs were team guys (ingram, Richardson, lacey, yeldon, and henry). Just wondering if he is worth it?

I don't necessarily think he has a "me first" attitude. We haven't heard anything of that nature that until one article, written by a rival fan base mod, this past week.
I mean, he did commit with Harris already on board. He made multiple comments right after saying he was willing to work for a starting position. If anything, I think some teams are negatively recruiting the hell out of Alabama to him.

Uhh yea...let's not start the Robinson is better than akers stuff please because when we had akers he was the best RB in the class it was him and Harris 1a and 1b.

None taken. I'm not saying that Robinson and Emmons are better than Akers,just saying that Emmons is similar to Akers and I like Robinson. Plus if we hold on to Harris I don't care about Akers. Harris and Robinson is a dang good rb class,add on Emmons,Harris,Jacobs,and and possibly Bo if he stays we will be just fine without Akers.

Oh I'm not, maybe I should have worded it different. Yes Akers is better than Robinson, but Emmons is similar to Akers (not as good as Akers either,but pretty dang good.) With who we have now ,and if we keep Harris and Robinson we are just fine. I don't think you will hear one person complain about not getting Akers. Plus with Akers saying he doesn't like a business type of team he would rather be on a fun team,that leads me to think he won't give his all to the team. I want someone who wants to be competitive everyday day.
