He's not close at all to his brother. Before the transfer, brother or not, we had a good shot. Not so good at the moment. Carver is very much a Bama-friendly staff/Mack Willson combo.

Saban should have said to hell with it and offered her a scholly himself. Sounds like the womens track coach needs some counseling in this area.

How about no? Alabama is building a tremendous reputation in men and women's track & field. Coach Saban has a great working relationship with the track staff, with several football players also participating in track. No need to create issues over one player, no matter how good he is.

I don't think it would create a problem between the programs. She's apparently very, very good anyway. From what that track dude says on BOL she would instantly be an upgrade for our women's team.

I'm all for it, if Dan Waters wanted to add her. But the poster I quoted seemed to suggest that Saban needs to step in and make Waters take her for the sake of her bother's football talent.

I don't understand why he wouldn't.

It's just frustrating to lose yet another recruit to UGA because of some stupid package deal.

Me too, but looks like LSU has all the momentum right now. Of course, they had all of the momentum early in Tony Brown's recruitment as well.

Yeah it's pretty early right now, we have a very good chance to get at least Devin White and Willie Allen. Being that we have Brown, Smith, and now Sheffield from Texas, in the end I think that could sway our way.
