4. DE Jeffery Simmons, Macon (Miss.) Noxubee County
Recruiting Wrap: Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama and Tennessee are the top contenders for Simmons.
Performance: Simmons is every bit of his listed 6-foot-4, 251-pounds. He tossed offensive linemen out of his way during one-on-ones and showed off his strong hand techniques often. Simmons did a good job of setting the edge during team drills and was a dependable run defender.

6. WR Demetris Robertson, Savannah, (Ga.) Savannah Christian School
Recruiting Wrap: Stanford, Georgia, and Alabama will host Robertson for official visits in January.
Performance: Robertson is one of the best athletes on either team in San Antonio. He has great burst and is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Robertson is a pretty reliable receiver, making some tough catches over the middle and down the field. There were a few instances where he made some of the safeties look silly.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The nation’s best high school football prospects participated in the Under Armour All-America game, and throughout the week there was plenty of playmaking and trash talking. Some guys lived up to the buzz, while some others showed they deserved a little more respect. Many stood out, but only a select few make the Top 10 Performers from the week. Here’s a look at the best of the best.
quote:
8. RB B.J. Emmons, Morganton (N.C.) Freedom – Team Highlight
Recruiting Wrap: Emmons is committed to Alabama
Performance: Emmons was the most consistent running back throughout the week and he showed an explosive burst and quick feet during the game. He did not have the breakout game with only 23 all-purpose yards on 12 touches, but he was able to show flashes of what made him stand out throughout the week. His size, speed, and burst were hard to miss in Orlando.

10. WR A.J. Brown, Starkville (Miss.) Starkville – Team Highlight
Recruiting Wrap: Mississippi State and Ole Miss are the top two contenders for Brown’s commitment.
Performance: Brown was a very steady performer all week. His hands were some of the best. He made difficult catches in traffic, he created separation, and he ran good routes. On game day he was the leading receiver with four receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown. His 53-yard reception was the longest play from scrimmage and he showed some shiftiness after the catch.

The 2016 U.S. Army All-American Bowl will take place this weekend featuring a collection of the nation’s top college football recruits in action.
Included in that group are a number of prospects who have yet to make a decision on where they will be playing this fall.
A few recruits, such as 5-star tight end Isaac Nauta, will be making their selections during Saturday’s game.
Which other players still have a decision to make less than a month before signing day, and where will they be going?
Let’s take a look and predict where every uncommitted US Army All-American will end up.
Players listed in alphabetical order.

4-star TE Devin Asiasi
Two teams appear to be separating from the pack of schools trying to land 4-star athlete Devin Asiasi.
As noted by Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, UCLA and Washington are the two programs trending with him.
The Bruins hosted him on an official visit, and the Huskies will be his first visit in January when the dead period concludes.
It looks to be a close battle, but the Bruins may hold the slightest of edges due to being the in-state option.
PREDICTION: UCLA

5-star DT Derrick Brown
Alabama and Mississippi State have already hosted 5-star defensive tackle Derrick Brown for two of his official visits.
Georgia (Jan. 15), Auburn (Jan. 22) and Tennessee (Jan. 29) will get his final three visits before national signing day.
The race to land Brown, who tallied 101 tackles and 17.5 sacks as a junior, will be a fierce battle. However, the homestanding Georgia Bulldogs will be tough for Brown to turn down in the end.
PREDICTION: Georgia

5-star ATH Mecole Hardman Jr.
Georgia is the school that most people believed has been the leader for 5-star athlete Mecole Hardman Jr, but the coaching change in Athens has opened the door for him to check out his other options.
However, as BamaOnline's Hank South notes, Alabama is the school that has taken over as the leader in his recruitment.
Tennessee is another school that has been active with Hardman for a long time. While the Tide are currently in front, it would still be a shock if Hardman landed somewhere other than Athens on signing day.
PREDICTION: Georgia

5-star ATH Demetris Robertson
According to Tom Loy of 247Sports, Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame and Stanford are the four finalists for 5-star athlete Demetris Robertson.
The Peach State athlete was once committed to the Crimson Tide, and he could end up back in the fold with the Tide's 2016 class.
As Loy noted, Stanford will become a major threat to land Robertson if he obtains the test scores needed for admission. With a race seemingly wide open, Robertson's recruitment will heat up over final weeks before signing day.
PREDICTION: Stanford

4-star DE Jeffery Simmons
Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee are the programs heavily in the mix with 4-star defensive end Jeffery Simmons.
He's already taken an official visit to Knoxville, and he's unofficially visited his other finalists on multiple occasions.
There's no clear leader in Simmons' recruitment at this time, and it's tough to get one of the top players from the Magnolia State away from the in-state schools. However, Alabama may be equipped to do just that and land Mississippi's top prospect in the end.
PREDICTION: Alabama

4-star S Nigel Warrior
Tennessee will try to hold off powers such as Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Ohio State for 4-star safety Nigel Warrior.
The Vols will get Warrior's final official visit on the weekend of Jan. 29.
However, as Rusty Mansell of Dawgs247 notes, the one school that has turned the heat up on Warrior is Alabama.
The Tide are in a great position to land Warrior, but the Vols' landing the final official visit could help them fend off their heated rival in the end.
PREDICTION: Tennessee

Can Nick Saban Deliver a 6th Straight No. 1 Recruiting Class at Alabama?
Is Alabama's reign atop the college football recruiting rankings nearing an end?
The Crimson Tide, currently No. 4 in the composite rankings, are riding a five-year streak of top-rated classes. In other words, head coach Nick Saban and company have landed the best perceived recruiting talent in all but one February this decade.
It's a remarkable feat for Alabama, which is set to unleash a new set of young blue-chip players next fall when the veteran stars of this SEC championship squad depart. Superior depth helped put the Tide in position to earn College Football Playoff berths in both 2014 and 2015, the only program to accomplish this feat.
Regardless of whether or not Alabama extends its streak, this group has the makings of another special haul in Tuscaloosa. Headlined by 5-star California offensive tackle Jonah Williams, dual-threat Texas quarterback Jalen Hurts and dynamic North Carolina running back B.J. Emmons, it's a class that includes eight commits considered top-10 talents at their respective position.
Still staring up at Florida State, LSU and Ohio State in the composite class rankings, Alabama's efforts would be bolstered if it can seal the deal with coveted uncommitted recruits. Saban's 5-star target list features linebacker Lyndell Wilson, receiver/cornerback Mecole Hardman and linebacker Ben Davis, the son of all-time Tide tackles leader Wayne Davis.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The nation’s No. 1 athlete has a leader, and it’s not the school some analysts may think is at the top.
Mecole Hardman, Jr., a five-star prospect from Elbert County High School (Bowman, Ga.), told SEC Country after Day 1 of U.S. Army All-American bowl practices that Alabama is his No. 1 school at the moment.
“They are one of the top programs and they stand out to me the most,” Hardman said. “(Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy) Pruitt is now there as well. That’s definitely a boost for them. We’ll see how it goes, though.”
Previously, Hardman has also told SEC Country that he thinks Alabama is the best school “defensively” for him. He is planning to play both cornerback and wide receiver at the next level. Hardman has also said that Alabama has the best gameday experience out of the schools he has visited in the past.
Most recruiting experts believed that Georgia was Hardman’s top school, mainly because of the school’s proximity to his parents and the amount of visits he has taken there. He has said in the past that he would like to go to a school that isn’t too far from home. His house in Bowman, Ga., is less than a 30-minute car ride to Sanford Stadium in Athens.
So what does Georgia need to do to leapfrog Alabama for the top spot?
“They just need to keep being Georgia,” Hardman said. “Alabama is a school that is standing out to me the most, but anything can change. Georgia could become my leader. Tennessee could become my leader. Michigan could, too. But Georgia doesn’t need to do anything. They haven’t been doing anything wrong.”
The 5-foot-10, 169-pounder has already taken official visits to Miami and Michigan. He has one set to TCU on Jan. 22. Hardman cannot take one the following weekend because he’s playing in the USA vs. Canada game the weekend of Jan. 29. He’s thinking about scheduling a visit to either Alabama or Tennessee on Jan. 15.
He’ll make his final decision on National Signing Day.

FWIW three CBs have been put in for him to Ole Miss in the last 12 hours, two of which came from Ole Miss mods.
quote:
PATTERSON, La. — Mykel Jones has narrowed his college choices to three schools, all from the SEC, and one team is certainly sticking out from the pack.
The 4-star Patterson (La.) High School wide receiver named Ole Miss, Alabama and Tennessee are his top three schools, with the Rebels sticking out as No. 1 heading into the final month of the recruiting period.
“I would say Ole Miss is first,” Jones told SEC Country. “Then it’s kind of balanced after that between Tennessee and Alabama.”
Not surprisingly, Patterson will visit officially those three SEC schools this month. He’ll head to Alabama on Jan. 15; Tennessee on Jan. 22 and Ole Miss on Jan. 29.
He has already unofficially visited both Alabama and Tennessee, and said there was no particular rhyme or reason behind the order of his officials.
“I’ve been to Tennessee and ‘Bama, but haven’t been to Ole Miss yet, so Ole Miss will be new,” Jones said. “Being there the first time, seeing everything really. Tennessee and ‘Bama (visits) are more to polish up and see if everything is still the same and the coaches still feel the same way about me as a player and where I fit in the system and different things of that nature.”
Jones also relayed his thoughts on how he fits in with each of the three SEC finalists, as well as the latest news surrounding those teams.
On Alabama: “I feel like I’ll be a great slot receiver. I really love what Lane Kiffin is doing with the offense, and playing at Alabama — I know I have a shot to be a national championship contender because of the coaching staff. With Nick Saban being there, you always have a chance.”
On Saban possibly leaving Alabama: “Of course, it will alter (my decision) a little bit. He’s one of the greatest coaches in college football history. But I won’t put my whole entire decision on a coach because they can always end up leaving. I want to feel comfortable with my decision and where I’m at because football can be taken away with me. I want to comfortable with that decision period.”
On Tennessee: “I think they have a very explosive offense and feel like they’re continually getting big-time recruits. With what they’re doing, they’ll eventually be in the national championship in a few years. I feel like I fit the system that’s also balanced and how the get their receivers the ball. I also love the wide receivers coach (Zach Azzanni).”
On Ole Miss: “Obviously, Laquon Treadwell is leaving, but they still have receivers there so I’ll have to work hard and earn a spot anywhere I go to have an opportunity to play. I really like the coaching staff. I feel like it’s one of the best in the country and I feel that Shea Patterson coming in is also a factor. We’ve had a relationship since we were on a 7-on-7 team my sophomore year and already got a connection. I also like the other receiver committed there (DeKaylin Metcalf). Ole Miss has a top recruiting class. I feel like no doubt they’ll be in the national championship soon and also the SEC Championship.”
One team noticeably absent from Jones’ top three is LSU, the school from his home state.
LSU has not recruited Jones hard over the past month, which led the Tigers to fall to the outside, but they are not officially out of the race.
“They do (have a chance), but they didn’t recruit me this whole month,” Jones said. “I’ve got nothing against that. They have a lot of great receivers. I just don’t know their situation and why they haven’t recruited me.”
Jones is the nation’s No. 42 wide receiver and is rated as Louisiana’s No. 12 player.
FWIW three CBs have been put in for him to Ole Miss in the last 12 hours, two of which came from Ole Miss mods.

I thought I remembered his sister being pretty much a Georgia lock or something like that. I thought his sister being elsewhere would be something that would hurt us... Huge news, IMO! RTR!
