Al.com had a feature called "following the future" I think. They had weekly updates with our commits weekly stats. Every week I looked, except for once, it said no stats were available for Cole. Dont know if that's bc they didn't report them to al.com or if he literally did nothing.

HS stats are hard to get a lot of the time.

Favorite part about Mack Wilson's 247 page is that his twitter link on the right side is messed up so it is currently displaying tweets from someone in Japan with anime characters and all in Japanese. Or at least I think it is Japanese.

They're so bad at Twitter handles, I think they still have the fake DeSherrius Flowers' account attached to his profile. Dude didn't even have a phone, let alone social media.

Yes. We are losing 29 players after this season. It's been years since we lost that many.

TideSaint

First, thanks for the great work you do on this thread.

How do you get to 29? Here's my math, feel free to correct:

I'm seeing 17 scholarship seniors who will definitely be gone:
Ryan Kelly
Isaac Luatua
Bradley Sylve
Jabriel Washington
Denzel Devall
Kenyan Drake
Cyrus Jones
Darren Lake
Dillon Lee
Reggie Ragland
Geno Smith
Jacob Coker
Ty Flournoy-Smith
Dominick Jackson
D.J. Pettway
Jarran Reed
Richard Mullaney

3 possible 1st round juniors likely to go:
Jonathan Allen
Derrick Henry
A'Shawn Robinson

1 likely medical/illness casualty:
Grant Hill

With Chris Black's departure, we should have a likely minimum 22 open slots within the 85 limit.

Now, we have 8 4-year juniors who may or may not return for their 5th senior year (whether player or coach choice):
Ryan Anderson
Dakota Ball
Brandon Greene
Adam Griffith
Korren Kirven
Alec Morris
Alphonse Taylor
Dalvin Tomlinson

If all 8 depart (I don't find that likely), we would be 30 under the 85 limit.

Obviously, others not on the above list could fail to return for whatever reason. But I don't think it's likely we have 29 slots available.

Kareem Walker to Michigan.

Keep an eye on FSU RB commit Amir Rasul. We offered last week and he set up an OV for January 15th

As TS noted a few days ago we offered Derrick Brown's teammate, '17 DE Mike Allen.

Alabama offers emerging 2017 Georgia DE Michael Allen, a teammate of top 2016 target Derrick Brown

quote:

While hitting the camp scene prior to his junior high school season, Buford (Ga.) Lanier defensive end Michael Allen turned heads and firmly planted himself on major college football recruiters' collective radar.

Offers from Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and Colorado State would follow over the next several months. The latest came in unexpected fashion as the Alabama Crimson Tide pulled the trigger of late.

"I was talking to (defensive line coach) Bo Davis and he was telling me about how good I did at camp (last summer) and how he liked my film," he said. "So he said he was going to offer me. He said he likes my speed, quick hands and aggressiveness.

"I was surprised. I was expecting him to tell me to come to the school or something again. Not this. It's nice to have this offer, I'm grateful and appreciative."

Allen, who accounted for eight sacks, a pair of interceptions and a fumble recovery for the 12-1 Longhorns in 2015, is quite familiar with the out-of-state program.

"I watched a lot of SEC schools, so I watched 'Bama a lot," he said.

Looking to add more options in the coming months, don't expect an early decision.

"I'm just going to let whatever happens happen and try to get my grades where they need to be and keep producing," he said. "Hopefully I'll get to go to a good school."

Could college programs be attracting the 2017 standout along with five-star senior Longhorn Derrick Brown? UA is one of the few programs to have targeted both trench talents.

"We are close, our families know each other well," Allen said.

From the Aubs:

hearing at the moment that it's looking good for us and Derrick Brown. Don't believe the bama hype with him. His position coach is the most important thing with him apparently, so Pruitt to Bama isn't a big deal. He loves Rocker and Garner and with Rock not at UGA that is working out in our favor.

I would take everything the Aub's say with a grain of salt. Their insiders have a horrible track record. They have no idea what the kid is thinking. We made a huge impression on his mother last weekend who is looking for program with structure. That program ain't AU.

Along with Hank South's CB of Shyheim Carter to Alabama, BOL posted a nugget stating the Tide is in front for him.

He and Knott will be a great CB tandem.

You think we are getting Knott? He could announce on signing day for Bama and I still wouldn't believe it.

The biggest bump in recruiting will hopefully come if we just manhandle teams in the playoffs. Dline recruits like Derrick Brown are going to take notice.

He's definitely leaving Mississippi.

His Top 3 are Alabama, Florida State and Oregon.

I think we get him.

Why? Everybody has been saying for months now that we are WAYYY out in front. And for some bizarre reason, OM hasn't really targeted him. It would be a major upset for him to NOT sign with us.

Exactly. Of all the MS prospects Knott is by far the most likely to leave the state. Jeffrey Simmons and A.J. Brown will be a challenge to get them out of that state.

To put the Aggies in perspective:

Imagine if we didn't have Bateman at all.

Then imagine David Cornwell decides to transfer. (also imagine Cornwell was the #10 overall recruit and #1 QB recruit for his year). Makes sense, on our roster it isn't likely Cornwell is to be the starter of the future. More power to him.

Then imagine Blake Barnett decides to transfer. Two 5 star QBs who were ranked in the top 30 of all players, and #1 in their respective positions. Gone. While one has two years left and one has three years left.

Jesus. That's horrific for a program. Oh and they also have no QBs currently committed.

Thanks I didn't know that. Haven't been keeping up much as of late. Somehow I think he still ends up in miss though. Hope I'm wrong.

How? It's dead period and he's an EE. I guess they could just blow up his phone.
