Class of 2018 Safety Myles Mason (from Pleasant Grove) says Alabama is still his leader. He is the #44 Player overall in his class.

I just realized we are now discussing prospects that are 10 years behind the Class of 2008.

Dylan seems enamored with Alabama, but it's hard to see him ending up anywhere except LSU. I just think there is too much external pressure on him to stay home, though it's blatantly obvious that he loves Alabama. Why wouldn't he? He was in elementary school the last time lsu beat us.
Jrevonte is a homer, yes...aren't we all though? If I had a son with that kind of talent...sure I wouldn't stop him from signing somewhere but I would definitely push him towards Alabama
And as far as the "tigerbait" comment...you can bet your sweet arse that he'd pull for Alabama if his own son played there...just like Collins mom. He'll say the right things in public and act the right way in public as to not upset the masses in his neighborhood, but a parent that involved isn't going to root against his son

Especially if there is a payday after they go to the big league.

He grew up a Clemson fan and really likes Dabo. His mother prefers him to stay close to home. Just a little over 4 hours and very easy drive to see a game. I still think her first choice is UNC or NCSU.
If we can get him for an OV the weekend before he commits that would bode well and say a lot. He is not planning on returning for a game and hopefully we are playing every weekend through Dec 5th. So get him here the 11th-13th and he announces on the 14th I like our chances but until he visits I do not like our chances and do not see him coming for an OV at this point.

It’s no secret the majority of the Magnolia State’s talent will stay within its borders when choosing a college program. Look at the makeup of Mississippi State and Ole Miss’ rosters and you’ll see large numbers homegrown talent. Alabama has set forth on landing some of Mississippi’s top talent, extending offers and landing commitments from a few of the states best in the 2016 and ’17 classes.
Here, BamaOnline takes a look at five recruiting battles between the Tide and the Bulldogs heading into Saturday’s SEC West showdown.
quote:
Jeffery Simmons, SDE, Macon (Miss.) Noxubee County –
Alabama has made Simmons a priority in the cycle. Simmons, the No. 3 strongside defensive end in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite, took his first official visit to Tennessee this past weekend and recently told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong that it would be hard to say no to Ole Miss and Alabama. While Simmons has maintained that his recruitment is open, the likely finalists will be MSU, Alabama and Ole Miss for the Army All-American. The Bulldogs were Simmons’ first offer, but it’s the Crimson Tide’s Bo Davis who Simmons has said he has the best relationship with. Expect Simmons to officially visit Tuscaloosa later this fall.

A.J. Brown, WR, Starkville (Miss.) –
Alabama is attempting to pluck the No. 8 receiver in the nation right out of the heart of Bulldogs country. The Tide has had Brown on campus twice this fall, most recently for the LSU game, and remains a very serious contender for one of the Magnolia State’s finest. Both Brown and his father have spoken highly of the Crimson Tide. The elder Brown recently told BamaOnline it would be hard not to come to Alabama. Expect Brown’s recruitment to go into January with a decision coming either at the Under Armour All-American game or National Signing Day.

Nigel Knott, CB, Madison (Miss.) Germantown –
While the Bulldogs aren’t the strongest contender for the four-star cornerback, he does have the program in his top ten. The No. 5 cornerback in the nation’s coach told BamaOnline on Monday that he believes Knott has it narrowed down to two or three schools. While the two to three schools have yet to be named, Alabama has made great strides over the summer and into the fall in Knott’s recruitment. He’s visited Tuscaloosa multiple times this fall, the latest for the LSU game. Expect Knott’s recruitment to go into January.

Raekwon Davis, DT, Meridian (Miss.) –
Despite his commitment to the Tide, MSU remains a contender to flip Davis. The four-star defensive tackle that has made a meteoric rise over the summer in the rankings is not one to talk much, but has stayed true to his commitment for well over a year. Reports surfacing over the summer that Davis’ pledge to UA may be shaky have been quelled by repeat trips to Tuscaloosa by the No. 13 defensive tackle in the country. In fact, multiple recruits have reported talking to Davis on visits, even being recruited by the 6-foot-7, 315-pound Tide commit. While you can’t discount the state schools, Alabama remains in great shape to ink Davis’ signature.
