Really wish we'd sign Lamical Perine. He's going to be a stud at UF. The recruiting services missed badly on him. Good size. Much better speed than listed. Here are his mid-season highlights.
My buddy who is a DC at a high school in that region said he is a BEAST. He also said he can't recall a better RB he's faced in his 11 seasons coaching.

Someone on the OM board posted yesterday that Greg Little was pushing back his announcement date. Has anyone read anything about this?

We all knew it wouldn't last. But damn. Why did he ever commit?

You have to tell/teach good fundamental offensive linemen to be mean. You don't have to tell/teach great offensive linemen to be mean. They just do it and it is amazing.

Cam Akers' stats from Friday night's loss:
Clinton's defense is young and undersized. They should be pretty legit next year with Akers as a Senior.

BRADENTON, Fla. -- Two of the nation's top teams came together on Florida's Gulf Coast Friday night, when IMG Academy took on New Jersey's Paramus Catholic. IMG won the game 28-20, but the contest featured a host of highly rated prospects and showcased some future stars of the college game. Below are news, notes and general takeaways from the star-studded evening in the Sunshine State.
quote:
No. 2 overall prospect Rashan Gary looks like a million bucks in a uniform and has upper body strength for days. IMG's offensive line did a nice job of handling Gary with double teams on Friday night and limited his impact on the game. That said, he showed enough to justify his five-star ranking. Gary has already visited Michigan and will visit Auburn in November. LSU, USC, Ole Miss, Clemson, Notre Dame, Georgia and others are in the running to land future official visits from the touted defensive lineman.
