Alabama wide receiver commit T.J. Simmons dominated Pinson Valley (Alabama). He caught only two passes but racked up 102 yards and two touchdowns. The future Crimson Tide wide receiver led Clay-Chalkville over Pinson Valley 65-10. Here is one of the many touchdowns Clay-Chalkville put up.

The final Saturday of September promises to provide plenty of college football storylines on and off the field. Recruiting visits again command attention, as top-tier prospects log miles to check out campuses in every corner of the country.

Showdowns are sure to draw significant talent into the stands, including a matchup between SEC rivals the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers that's expected to feature appearances from top-rated offensive tackle Greg Little and coveted junior linebacker Markail Benton.

Here's a closer look at those visits and a few others as we get set for another frenzied weekend of football.

Auburn: 5-star OT Greg Little

Class: 2016

High School: Allen (Allen, Texas)

Size: 6'5 ½", 305 lbs.

247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 1 offensive tackle; No. 2 overall

Dominant bookend Greg Little initially came off the board before his junior season, pledging to follow former Allen High School quarterback Kyler Murray to the Texas A&M Aggies. That verbal commitment remained in place for more than a year, but things changed this summer when he reopened his recruitment.

Several SEC suitors are fighting for position in this pursuit, and Auburn appears to be a true top contender. The Tigers are lined up alongside the Aggies, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and LSU for Little's signature.

The Lone Star State standout proved his prowess in July at The Opening, an elite invite-only prospect showcase held at Nike's world headquarters. Little looks like a plug-and-play talent along the offensive front and carries tremendous potential as a lock-down left tackle.

Florida: 4-star DE Terrell Hall

Class: 2016

High School: St. John's College (Washington, D.C.)

Size: 6'5", 250 lbs.

247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 8 weak-side defensive end; No. 102 overall

The Florida Gators aim to remain unbeaten under new head coach Jim McElwain as the Tennessee Volunteers travel to Gainesville for an early-season rivalry game. Former Ohio State Buckeyes commit Terrell Hall, who visited the Alabama Crimson Tide earlier this month, is expected to spend his weekend on an official visit in The Swamp.

He's expressed plenty of interest in Florida's fresh regime, including defensive line coach Chris Rumph.

“I like the way Coach Rumph coaches, and I know they want to use my versatility as an athlete so I can drop back or come off the edge—kind of like I do in high school,” Hall told Hank South of 247Sports. “I like the versatility they show in their defense.”

Hall is quite scheme diverse himself, presenting promise off the edge at defensive end or outside linebacker. He collected 19 tackles for loss as a junior and added approximately 30 pounds to his frame this past offseason.

Auburn: 5-star LB Markail Benton

Class: 2017

High School: Central (Phoenix City, Alabama)

Size: 6'2", 227 lbs.

247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 2 outside linebacker; No. 26 overall

Auburn currently has sights set on 5-star in-state linebacker tandem Ben Davis and Lyndell Wilson leading up to national signing day, but Markail Benton might already be the best overall prospect among Alabama defenders. He was simply a beast as an underclassman, exhibiting a blend of athleticism and violence you don't often see from young defenders.

He's been high on Auburn's list under the direction of two defensive coaching staffs. Coordinator Will Muschamp leads the charge now, but the Tigers began heavily recruiting him before making major staff changes.

Benton landed a Tigers offer before his sophomore season. Fellow SEC member the Kentucky Wildcats were first to extend a scholarship when he was just a freshman, setting the stage for a crowded recruitment.

I guess we aren't hosting anyone worth mentioning this weekend.

I thought we reached for tj Simmons when we let him commit. But his highlights are very good. And this year he's tearing it up. Plus a big we. With cavin, and Gavin and I hope an brown, we will have some big we in this class. Am though I don't think will take 4.

At halftime tonight, BJ Emmons had 279 yards and 5 TDs on 8 (!!!!) carries. 1 punt return for 36 yards. I haven't heard if he played in the second half or not. He is an absolute monster and the next superstar RB in college football.

He did not in the 2nd half. Once they went up by 47 at half just used the mercy rule in the second half which means the clock does not stop running in the game,

His TD runs were for: 60, 62, 68, 62, and 15

#UF OC Doug Nussmeier really liked Hayden Moore. He wanted to offer him when he was at #Alabama, but wasn't unanimous.

Fire everyone because we didn't take a QB that lit up fricking Memphis.

As tidewarrior and bama3714 both noted Emmons had a huge game. Was that 36 yard PR for a td?

This puts his season statistics through 5 games at 71 carries for 1038 yards(14.6YPC) 20 rushing TDs, 1 INT return for a TD and potentially 2 PR TDs.

Cam Akers and Clinton beat their biggest rivals, Madison Central, 35-30 tonight.

I'll post his numbers as soon as the Clarion Ledger puts the story up. Huge win for Clinton.

He is starting to sound like Clark Kent. He consistently puts up good/decent numbers, but one is led to believe that he is just holding back.

Besides Devin asiasi , any other big name recruits headed to Tuscaloosa this weekend? I really don't want 3 tight ends, but we would have to take Asiasi if he wanted to commit.

CLINTON – Clinton hasn't had much success against some of the top-ranked teams in the state this season.

The Arrows' two losses, which came by a combined 11 points, were to No. 1 South Panola and fourth-ranked Brandon.

Clinton finally managed to earn its breakthrough on Friday night.

The Arrows utilized an explosive offense to outlast No. 3 Madison Central, 35-30, in a Region 2-6A matchup at Clinton.

Before it claimed the victory, Clinton (3-2, 1-0) had to hold off a last-minute comeback attempt by the Jaguars (3-3, 0-1).

Clinton linebacker Jacobi Hearn came up with a clutch sack on the final drive and Kam'ron White came up with an interception of Madison Central quarterback Jack Walker to seal the victory.

It was the Arrows' second consecutive win against the Jaguars, the first time they've done so since earning victories in 2001 and 2002. Madison Central had previously won eight in a row against Clinton before this two-game losing streak.

Cam Akers accounted for two touchdowns as did running back Darius Maberry and sophomore quarterback Walker Burchfield.

"It's a real big win because it's the first district game," Akers said. "We don't focus on this being a rivalry or anything like that. It was the first district game and we had to come out on top, and that's what we did. We handled business."

Burchfield tossed a two-yard touchdown to Rashaud Taylor with 4:52 remaining for what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown.

The score gave Clinton a 35-23 lead. Walker led Madison Central on a quick scoring drive on the subsequent possession, though.

Akers said he wasn't worried when the Jaguars mounted their final drive.

"I knew my team was going to come through ...,"Akers said. "I knew we were going to make the big play and that was my mindset."

For the most part, Walker and the Jaguars couldn't get the passing game going.

Maberry and Akers showed off their chemistry in the second quarter. Maberry took an option pitch from Akers and ran 19 yards into the end zone to give Clinton a 7-3 lead early in the second.

Later in the quarter, Akers found Maberry, who had sneaked past a defender, on a wheel route for a 41-yard touchdown pass, which gave the Arrows a double-digit advantage.

That lead grew to 18 points when Akers did some more damage with his arm when he connected with White for a 26-yard touchdown.

Madison Central had some offensive success on its first possession of the game, an 11-play drive that resulted in a 30-yard field goal by Michael Kroeze.

The Jaguars' next three drives ended with a punt, another punt and an interception by Clinton defensive back by Ty Irwin.

Madison Central was able to find its groove again near the end of the half when Jaylon Uzodinma scored on a 14-yard rush to trim the Clinton lead to 11 with 1:19 left in the second.

Overall, the Jaguars finished with 315 total yards, while the Arrows finished with 447. Clinton also came up plus-two in turnover margin.

Akers completed 18 of his 29 passes for 291 yards and two scores. He also rushed for 83 yards. Maberry also ran for 83 yards.

They had a special snippet with Bobby Williams on the screen. I had the sudden urge to boo, but I held back.

I didn't realize he's been around Saban for 16 years. Our hopes and dreams of getting rid of him are like a child's dreams that Santa is real. Bobby might outlast CNS at Alabama.

Game could be big, as Bama was making moves up his list already.

Jalen Hurts, QB, Channelview (Texas) – Hurts continued his trend of big-time performances with another gem on Friday night. Hurts was 17 of 25 passing for 234 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 150 yards and another three touchdowns in a 56-28 win over Port Arthur Memorial, per Gerry Hamilton. The 5-0 Falcons host North Shore next week.

Through 5 games Hurts is 67 of 90(74.4%) for 1188 yards and 15 TDs. At least 550 yards rushing and 12 TDs. Barnett vs Hurts next season??
