Were in Great shape for Greg Little but watch out for Ole Miss. For Rashan Gary who knows. Some people thinks it's an AU/Michigan battle but I think Bama will be in it until the end.

I think we miss out on both TBH. When all is said and done, Gary will probably end up at Michigan, and we typically don't fare well against OM in big recruiting battles for whatever reason.

Carver head coach Billy Gresham said he's hoping to take Wilson to Auburn and sit down with the coaches to clear up any recruiting misconceptions. Wilson hasn't heard from Auburn in a few months, but Gresham said there's probably a reason.
"A lot of people think he's committed to Alabama," Gresham said. "I think they felt in a sense that 'we don't want to waste our time with this kid.' You want to focus on the kids you think you have a chance to get. He was going to Alabama every time he had free time. To me, he's always saying he's open so that's the only thing I can go with. We're going to go to Auburn and sit down with Coach (Gus) Malzahn and make sure we're all good and on the same page."
...
Wilson, an A-B honor roll student at Carver, has several criteria for picking a school.
"The biggest thing I'm looking for is the academic part, how the coaches and players bond and also playing time," Wilson said. "I don't want to go to a school where the coaches act a certain way to the players. I think at every school, the coaches and players have a bond. I'll talk to my family and see what the best fit is for me."

His coach is an Auburn homer?
Posted on 8/12/15 at 8:25 pm to MontyFranklyn
It sure sounds like he is. It seems like Mack Wilson is content to just leave the relationship in Auburn's court, but his coach is trying to repair it.

"Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, and Ole Miss is probably my top six if I had one," said White.
No leader White says and he does plan to take his recruitment to the end and announce his decision on signing day, but he does know three of his official visits at this time.
"LSU, Alabama, and Ole Miss will definitely get official visits. I do not know dates and I do not have any official visits set up yet, but I know those three are schools I will visit."

Four-star prospect and Scout's 17th-ranked defensive tackle, Keyshon Camp, is a little over a month removed from making a verbal pledge to Steve Sarkisian and USC, but plans on taking full advantage of his official visits and is already scheduled to visit the Michigan Wolverines on Sept. 19.
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive lineman out of Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson has a former teammate and close friend who recently inked with Jim Harbaugh's program as well in Reuben Jones. We'll see how that ultimately effects his recruitment, but it's definitely worth noting that they're close friends off the football field.
In addition to USC and Michigan, the Sunshine State native plans on solidifying official visit dates with Oregon and Alabama. Camp, who was previously committed to the Miami Hurricanes as well, has secured additional offers from Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee and UCLA among others.

Charles Baldwin article:

quote:
“I went up there a couple of weeks ago for an unofficial visit, me and coach Cristobal keep in really good contact. It wasn’t really a different trip, but I got to meet more of the players and hang out with the players and coaches. It’s a very family-oriented group, the all have each other’s backs out there. It’s something I really like about the program and one of the reasons I committed.”
One of just a quartet of four-star junior college offensive tackle prospects on Scout, Baldwin remains a prized commodity by many coaching staffs nationally despite his Alabama decision.
“Some have come harder, some have backed off,” he said. “I’m pretty strong to ‘Bama, I’m really just focused on my season here and then going there and getting to work.”Baldwin, who plans on graduating from ASA in December, says he’s likely to attend the Alabama-LSU game November 7. No other visits have yet been planned.

Hank CB'd Nigel Warrior to Bama.

Im guessing that his reasoning is in that "Alabama in line for UT legacy?" thread.
I would love to land him. The fact that he is a Vol legacy just makes it that much sweeter.

That would put us in great shape to land Deangelo Gibbs.

I visited the Vol247 board to see what their mods are saying. Someone posted Tim's tidbit on Nigel Warrior there, and the mod replied with "they don't". Their confidence doesn't seem to be wavering.
Of course, someone later in the thread talked about how nice it will be when they upset us at home. Hope springs eternal for the Viles until the offseason ends.

Not good for Gary
Pretty good for Little (actually seems like a lot of buzz around OM and LSU, but I think he has liked Bama too long)

Informative AJC article on Nigel Warrior:

He also said that the local schools (UGA, UT, UA) will not receive OVs because he can visit them whenever.
He will be an NSD decision, so the fact that we may be trending now doesn't mean much.
quote:
He said Arizona State, Oregon, Tennessee and UGA are recruiting him the hardest right now, but also really appreciates Alabama’s approach.
“They don’t bug you,” Warrior said. “They don’t try to send you messages or try to get in touch with you every day. I like that. Ohio State has that approach. They let you be a high school student and a kid who plays football, too. They let you breathe a bit for however long before you want to talk.”
The hunch here is that approach will win over Warrior. He likes his space, has an introspective mind and needs time to sort it out on his clock. He’s also looking for a school that gets him as a person and not just for ball skills, incredible instincts and a 40 time.

I still can't quite figure out why he doesn't use his father's last name if he is a "legacy" who holds great Tennessee pride. His father is Dale Carter. You know, the CB who got suspended 4-5 times from the NFL due to drugs.
Why does he use the surname Warrior?

What the frick is this shite? If the kid has no interest in Auburn and doesn't care to speak to them why the frick does his head coach, who should be more concerned about preparing for his season opener in a few weeks, feel the need to take him over there to sit down with Malzahn? What "page" does this coach need to be on? It's not his decision to make.

BOL posted a bland article on Dexter Lawrence's visit from a few weeks ago. The only real info in it was that he plans to announce around Signing Day.

Another interesting quote from that AJC article:
quote:
“I can follow in my Dad’s footsteps but the word legacy is all I hear,” Warrior said. “That gets to me because I want to be my own person. They just see me as Dale Carter’s son. They say I’m a good player or whatever but all I hear is Dale Carter this-and-that. I don’t know if Tennessee doesn’t really just regard me as just Nigel Warrior.”
