Without a doubt, Jones is one of the best defensive linemen on the hoof. He is also very strong and very imposing to even the biggest opponent. He is still raw, but his strength allowed him to quickly overwhelm offensive linemen during the one-on-one portion of drills. The Alabama commit also showed a nice outside rip move that he used to get a few one-on-one wins.

WTF? Flowers enrolled early. Now we just about have to land that RB transfer because we don't have enough depth to make it through the season

The Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour has come to a close, but there is still plenty to discuss. Today we break down the offensive linemen who had the best weekend in Baltimore, highlighted by Texas A&M commit Gregory Little.

1 OT Gregory Little
Allen, Texas

Little took home the offensive line MVP honors after stepping up during the competition period and winning when it mattered most. Little got better as the day went along and also drew praise from the event's coaching staff for his efforts. The Texas A&M commit is ranked as the nation's No. 1 offensive tackle, and he played like it in Baltimore.

Didn't Alfy Hill enroll early and have the same thing happen to him?

Yes but it's still pretty rare. Hill enrolled in summer and the clearinghouse which had initially cleared him decided that a computer based PE class from sophomore year was no good.

This really sucks because whatever Flowers issue is, I'd imagine he could've just straightened it out this past spring instead of enrolling early if we'd known about it

Thinking outside the box here. I remember Reuben playing some RB at AHS but seriously maybe Stewart? Less need for him at WR with Mullaney

Why did Tyren have to be such a screw-up

I sure wish we would've gotten Roc Thomas.

I didn't mean to sound like the sky is falling. Flowers was likely going to be 4th string. If we can stay away from further injuries (no guarentee at RB) we'll be ok. But when you have real depth issues at RB like we now face, there are unforeseen consequences like how you're able to practice. Probably have to be a little more protective of the RBs in practice which takes away from the preparation of RBs and the D

I like Anthony Averett as a candidate to move to RB. Plenty of speed, played the position some in high school, buried on the depth chart at CB. I think he had a cup of coffee on offense this spring.
