Who is this possible flip mentioned earlier? Quinnen?
Posted on 6/9/15 at 7:13 am to bamarep
4 star DL Quinnen Williams from Wenonah HS. Our coaching staff has recently made him a priority. This should tell you what they think about him, with as many quality and elite DL as we're in on and leading for.

Chefrossi thinks our next commitment will be 2017 Safety Chardarius Townsend.

Nick Saban and Alabama had a big weekend on the recruiting front, landing a pair of four-stars at priority positions in quarterback Jalen Hurts and offensive tackle Charles Baldwin. A junior college product originally from Connecticut, Baldwin became UA’s most recent commitment and second in three cycles from Brooklyn (N.Y.) ASA College following Leon Brown.
BamaMag.com was able to reach ASA Head Coach Chris Boden for much more on his standout prospect, both on and off the field.
‘Bama Magazine: What do you know about how Alabama recruited Charles and why do you think it was able to win out for his commitment?
Chris Boden: Coach Cristobal did an amazing job recruiting him. Charles is very comfortable with Coach Saban as well.
BamaMag: Were you surprised he committed while on the trip?
Boden: Not surprised, I knew he was leaning that way, so we told him to take an unofficial visit first to make sure he liked everything.
BamaMag: On the field, Baldwin is one of the best you've coached at the position, can you detail why he is such a coveted prospect?
Boden: He has the size, strength, technique and mental capacity to learn that could make him a very special player.
BamaMag: What does he have to work on to reach his full potential?
Boden: He needs to keep refining his technique, and he knows that Coach Cristobal will help him accomplish that.
BamaMag: What is Charles like off of the field (personality, academics, etc.)?
Boden: He is good academically. He is a hardworking kid in the classroom and in the weight room, and he has a burning desire to be the best. Off the field, he is a funny and caring kid.
BamaMag: Is there a funny story you can share about him?
Boden: He wears some very "unique" shirts on a daily basis (look at his picture with Coach Saban)
BamaMag: Do you think his recruitment is truly over?
Boden: I know he wants to make Alabama his home, otherwise he would not have committed. Everything with the visit went extremely well (especially the flight, because that was his first time on an airplane), and I know that's where he wants to be.

We will definitely need some corner and safety depth, as Geno, Cyrus, and Washington will be gone this year and Jackson will be gone next year.
I'm curious to see how things will shake out in the near future at DB. Will Tony Brown lock down a spot at corner? When will Humphrey see some playing time? (the sooner the better IMO) Will Ronnie Harrison unseat one of the starting safeties? Will Ronnie Clark stay at RB or move back to S? Will Deionte Thompson stay at WR? How will Minkah and Sheffield fit in?
All my opinions
Marlon Humphrey starts this yr
Jackson starts out as a starting S, Hafrison should get in there as a back up some though
I think Clark's RB switch is permenantly, Deionte's isn't (one of those will move back once Damien Harris is implanted into the depth chart)
I expect Minkah and Sheffied to possibly be RSed barring any major spring injuries
Player to watch will be Averrett

So Greg Little, Ben Davis, Mack Wilson and Marlon Davidson are on campus today.

Posted on 6/9/15 at 10:25 am to TideSaint
Now word circulating on BOL is that Marlon Davidson is not on campus because his older brother didn't want him to go.
No confirmation on that though.

Per someone very close with Elijah Holyfield'recruitment AU seems to be losing what ground we had gained on UGA and Bama. UGA has turned up the heat and Holyfield had a really good visit to Bama. Keith has always thought if UGA turned up heat they could take the lead for him.
In better news.... AU will get Malik Miller Thursday!
Staff wants to take 2-3 backs this class and per Miller they have pitched him only RB...never once mentioned FB to him.
Also 5* Rashan Gary visiting Friday-Saturday

SPRING OFFERS, SUMMER DECISION FOR SIMMONS
Chad SimmonsChad Simmons
National Recruiting Analyst
This story was originally published on ScoutFootball.com.
It has been a big past few months for 2016 athlete Tyler Simmons. When the 2015 prospects were signing with schools in February, Simmons had zero offers, but now he enters the summer with over a dozen. His recruitment has really gotten going and it may be ending before too long...
Tyler Simmons played at Douglasville (Ga.) New Manchester in 2014, then transferred to Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern early in 2015.
When he arrived at the new school he had no scholarship offers with only a few schools showing interest. That changed quickly
.
Spring practice has ended and Simmons has now been offered by 15 schools. The most recent being Alabama.
"Before I even finished the camp [at Alabama], coach [Kirby] Smart told me he had seen enough and that I could go shower and take a tour," said Simmons. "I got to meet with coach [Nick] Saban and we talked about their team, the school, and academics before he officially offered me a scholarship."
That was a big offer for Simmons. The 5-foot-11, 191 pound playmaker knew Alabama had interest in him as a wide receiver due to his prior contact with coach Smart, his recruiting coach. The offer was not a big shock to him and now the Crimson Tide have now made a strong impression.
"Last Tuesday was my first time at Alabama and it was nice. They really made me feel welcome for it being my first time there. They treated me like a player and I got a feel for everything.
"It is Alabama and it was great."
After camping at Alabama, Simmons visited two in-state schools. He was at Georgia Tech Saturday, then at Georgia Sunday. His speed, versatility, character, and upside appeal to Paul Johnson and Mark Richt.
He has visited each a handful of times.
"I just got to hangout at Georgia Tech Saturday. It was my third time there as a recruit and the coaches are doing a great job of making me feel welcome there.
"Georgia Tech is recruiting me as a running back and I like that. Coach [Lamar] Owens tells me I would an A-back in their offense. I used to play running back and I like having the ball in my hands, so that is nice.
"I am looking to major in Computer Engineering and Georgia Tech is strong in that, so that is something I really like there. It is also a home-state school, so it is close to home."
From Atlanta, Simmons and his family headed to Athens and it was a chance for them to meet the UGA coaching staff and see more of the school.
"I have been over to UGA about four or five times, but this visit was different because I got to meet with the coaches, take the tour of the school, and I saw and learned a lot more," said Simmmons.
The new offensive coordinator and who Simmons would have the chance to play with if he was a Bulldog appeals to him.
"I met with Coach [Mark] Richt and he just reassured me of the offer and I talked to coach [Bryan] McClendon, the receiver's coach, and I also met with coach Schotty (Brian Schottenheimer), their new offensive coordinator.

Analysis: Simmons is dangerous with the ball in his hands. He is an athlete with speed that plays the game of football. Can project a wide receiver, a running back, or a defensive back. His highest ceiling may be as a slot. Very good quickness and outstanding in space. Consistent catching the football with his hands. Can make guys miss. Timed consistently sub 4.5 seconds in the 40 yard dash and he plays that fast.
"Coach Schotty is from the NFL and we talked about that, how he is at Georgia to train guys for the NFL in a pro-style offense, and hoe he can prepare guys for the NFL combine and NFL offenses. That was great.
"I really like that about Georgia and I also like how they have the top quarterback (Jacob Eason) in the country committed to them. I will get a chance to see more of Georgia Friday when we are their for the 7v7."
Simmons may be back at Georgia Tech this summer, but he knows he will visit Alabama again on July 17 before getting back to UGA for Dawg Night July 18.
Visits to Tennessee and Texas A&M are being discussed by him and his family as well. His father is right there with him right now and both have their favorites. The talented wideout plans to make an official list of those later this summer shortly before making his decision.
"My father and I have talked about things and he has his ideas and I have mine," said Simmons with a laugh. "I am planning to commit towards the end of August or early in September. We have discussed that and that is the plan right now.
"By the beginning of August, I should have my list down to five schools. I am not there yet, but I will be. It is really a process."
The visits this summer will be big for the soon-to-be senior. He is not only looking for strong academics in the computer engineering field, but he is looking for a place he can make plays at within the first couple of years and a place he feels at home with the players.
"I know coaches are always on the move, so it is the players I am looking to see how I get along with," said Simmons. "The players are the guys I know I will be out bleeding and sweating with the next four or five years."

As usual, the Southeast showed that it has some of the best talent in the country, with several prospects turning in excellent performances at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge Presented by Under Armour. Here's a breakdown of the Southeast stars that shined the brightest.

Lyndell Wilson
Montgomery (Ala.) Carver
Wilson, the day's linebacker MVP, was fantastic in the morning session and carried that momentum right into the evening's 7-on-7 tournament, which saw him function as the best player on a struggling team. Wilson is smooth in coverage and moves freakishly well for his size. He moves well laterally and has rare speed for a player of his build.

Ben Davis
Gordo, Ala.
Davis' physique turns head before he ever steps on the field, but he's a lot more that a hulking body in a uniform. Davis (6-3, 234) is billed as a run stuffer at times, but it's clear that he has the quickness to function in coverage. He covers sideline to sideline and has some impressive instincts when he's forced to run downfield.
