Why are all ya'll flipping out about the TE situation? It isn't like we use one enough to matter.

Alabama still needs numbers at the position. Hentges is good enough to make an impact at TE. Maybe he develops quicker than Howard has thus far.

Notre Dame used their in-home with Mekhi Brown last night. He says he is still solid.

Oh please, when was the last time our TEs have ever been a real offensive weapon? Idk what it is, we just hate that position for catching passes apparently.

BOL Nuggets:

-Daylon Charlot has informed the staff that he will likely stick with Alabama on NSD.
-Ryan Davis could end up in the class if the staff pushes for him. He is OVing this weekend.
-KJ Hill is another option that the staff is in good shape with. Likes the CLK offense.
-Headway was made with Cager's parents.
-Godwin is a long shot. Will OV this weekend.
-Ridley and SBB are OVing this weekend. Both are solid to Alabama.
-Custis will probably not be a part of this class. UK, OM, or UF
-Some close to CVO are not optimistic that he qualifies. He could reclassify to 2016. Others think that he still might qualify.
-OM is getting more confident in keeping Richmond. Watch for UT.
-Tyrone Wheatley Jr. is a long shot.
-Damien Harris called Alabama after Steele left to tell them that he is solid.
-McGraw is one to watch. UGA sources feel confident in the flip. (chattabama's note: so, he recruits for alabama and tells Cager that is where he should go, but he himself might not end up here?) Recruiting

From Hale Hentges' father:

quote:

“We are still planning on going to Alabama this weekend and that is the only official visit that is scheduled at this point," said Hentges. "Obviously, Missouri would love for Hale to come up for a visit and they are still recruiting him extremely hard hoping that he changes his mind in the last two weeks, but Hale is still an Alabama commit and is looking forward to his visit this weekend and we are looking forward to everything the visit has with a little more in-depth and a little more personal touch to it. That is where we are at right now.

Luke Stampini from UF247 put his picks in for UF's remaining targets:

-Cowart: UF 51% confidence level
-Cece OM 55% confidence level
-Montrell Custis: UK 55% confidence level.
-Adonis Thomas: UA 65% confidence level

Except for Thomas being at only 65%...

Damn I'd hate to lose Mcgraw and Hentges this late in the game.

Yeah he looks good. I guess with his desire to play the 3 technique he decided to slim down.

I dont think Hentges is going anywhere

We have 7 Db commits, we were never going to sign all of them. We also have a 5* for 2016 already. One of custis and mcgraw has to go and maybe both.

Reporter: What’s your reaction to Thompson going across the state to Auburn?

Saban: “We’ve had several opportunities and given Lance several opportunities through the years and this same circumstance has occurred several times before. I can’t really tell you why coaches do what they do, and I think the best thing you can do is ask him, not me. We’ll do the best we can to find the best replacement for him. They guy did a good job for us when he was with us and we wish him well. We’ve always wished him well. We’ll continue to try to have the best program we can have for our players and get the best teachers and coaches for our players.”
