Defensive tackle Daron Payne remains a top priority for several programs at this stage of his recruitment. The 5-star interior disruptor is uncommitted and commands constant attention from in-state coaching staffs at Auburn and Alabama.
He provides a massive presence at 6'2", 316 pounds, but he's far more than just a guy who clogs rushing lanes. He is clocked at 4.80 seconds in the 40-yard dash, providing a clear indication of the kind of athleticism he brings to the trenches.
His dominant performance at Crimson Tide camp last summer helped secure his spot as a top prospect, and he currently rates No. 4 nationally among defensive tackles in 247Sports' rankings. Payne wreaked havoc for Shades Valley High School in 2013, tallying 65 tackles and two sacks, per AL.com.
Aside from in-state powerhouses, Texas, Clemson and Florida State are among those in pursuit of his commitment. It will be thrilling to watch him go toe-to-toe with some of the country's most impressive offensive linemen.

Byron Cowart owns the defensive edge with authority and can provide a defense coordinator with an opportunity to implement his skills in a variety of ways. The 6'4", 250-pound Armwood High School star runs the 40-yard dash in 4.60 seconds.
He's best suited at strong-side end, where he can become an immediate asset against the run and in pass-rushing situations. His strength enables him to set the edge, and he doesn't allow himself to get behind the flow of a play, stringing things along toward the sideline as ball-carriers run out of real estate.
Cowart, rated No. 2 nationally at the position in 247Sports' composite rankings, is coming off a dominant junior campaign. He collected 72 tackles, including 15 for loss, and 13 sacks.
His speed was on display as he returned two fumbles for touchdowns. It will be interesting to see how he handles himself in pass-coverage situations at The Opening, particularly when paired with a taller tight end.
Cowart's recruitment seemingly remains wide open. Campus visits this year include Florida State, Florida and Alabama, while Oregon, Auburn and UCLA are also in the picture.

Malik Jefferson is the top-ranked prospect in talent-laden Texas. The prodigious Poteet High School linebacker lights opponents up when he dishes out hits and spends significant time in the offensive backfield, making life miserable for quarterbacks.
Jefferson, rated No. 9 nationally among all rising seniors in 247Sports' composite rankings, racked up 12 sacks last season. He's relentless off the edge, staying low and exhibiting unwavering ferocity against overmatched offensive linemen.
The 6'2", 225-pound defender is an ideal fit at outside linebacker and could be featured prevalently in pass-rushing packages depending on where he ends up at the next level. He tallied 188 tackles during the past two seasons and forced eight fumbles.
Expect him to routinely overmatch highly skilled offensive players at The Opening and cement his status as the country's most coveted linebacker prospect. He brings plenty of swagger to the football field, and that should be on full display in Beaverton.
Jefferson remains uncommitted. With in-state schools Texas, Baylor and Texas A&M jockeying for position. He has plenty of options beyond state borders, as Alabama, Oklahoma and Ohio State are also giving chase.

Recruits with high ceilings are full of potential. Right now, they're raw in an area or two, but they have the natural talent to become good players after they get developed.
The 2015 class features a ton of prospects whose ceilings are sky-high. A few offensive tackles need to work on their technique, but they display exceptional athleticism to dominate. This list also features a few quarterbacks who just need to become more consistent with their mechanics in order to be great.
Also, even a few 5-star recruits will be discussed.

I'll post the players next.

Christian Bell is an athletic defensive prospect from Alabama who can play defensive end or outside linebacker. At 6'4" and 220 pounds, the 3-star recruit's movement skills on the edges are a sight to see.
However, he lacks impressive strength. If Bell can get more powerful and stronger, he should be able to make a big impact at Alabama as an outside 'backer/rush end in the Crimson Tide's 3-4 defense.
Alabama's class is full of studs, but Bell may prove to be one of the better players from the group in a few years.

Things will heat up once school starts back. This thread will be rolling, rolling, rolling

The thread will pick back up once Jackson Harris and Quentin Dormady make their decisions. If we land both of them we will have our QB and TE spots locked up.

Hailing from California, Travis Waller is another 4-star dual-threat quarterback on this list. He has good physical tools, but he must clean up his footwork.
After he does that, Waller's timing with receivers should be better, plus his accuracy will improve. As those things get better, the 6'3", 190-pounder will see his game elevate to new levels.
Keep an eye on Notre Dame with him.

Cornerback is certainly a position 5-star athlete Terry Godwin can excel at. He has excellent short-area quickness and agility, plus he plays with a lot of confidence.
However, the Georgia pledge has a higher ceiling as a receiver. At 6'0" and 168 pounds, Godwin gets off the line well, and he doesn't fight the football when catching it with his hands.
Godwin will be a star in Athens after he refines his route running and learns how to settle into voids better.

Sharpening his footwork and polishing his technique are the main things Drew Richmond must do to elevate his game.
The 4-star offensive tackle has a ton of raw ability at 6'5" and 320 pounds. Richmond has the strength to maul defenders in the running game, and he has enough athletic ability to shadow pass-rushers as a pass-protector.
Schools such as Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee and LSU are in the mix, says 247Sports.

At 6'4" and 208 pounds, Quinten Dormady is at his best when he can stand tall in the pocket to rifle throws downfield.
He needs to get a bit more flexible and speed up his approach, but the 3-star quarterback has a solid stroke. Dormady has above-average arm strength to attack defenses up the seams and on the perimeter, plus his ball-placement skills aren't too shabby.
He's not going to elude many defenders and make a ton of dazzling runs, but he can be effective when working in a clean pocket. Indiana, Kentucky and TCU are among several schools who have offered the Texan, says 247Sports.

The nation's top-ranked prospect according to the 247Sports Composite, defensive tackle Trent Thompson, is fresh off a multi-day visit to Alabama. On Sunday, the 6-foot-4, 292-pounder posted a picture of himself wearing Alabama gear. The visit to Tuscaloosa was Thompson's second this offseason, as he previously visited in early March for a junior day.
The Albany (Ga.) Westover prospect has held Georgia as his leader for most of the process and the Bulldogs hold a big edge in his Crystal Ball, with 98% of the picks. A trip to Athens next week for the Bulldogs' team camp is up next for Thompson.
