The latest 247Sports Crystal Ball Trends in the SEC.
Note: Crystal Ball Forecasts can be viewed on each prospect’s 247Sports profile.
Quarterback Watching
-Texas A&M and Oregon wait for the nation’s top-rated dual-threat quarterback according to 247Sports in Allen (Texas) High’s Kyler Murray to announce his college plans on Wednesday afternoon, 3:45 (EST). The Aggies hold 87 percent of the 54 Crystal Ball forecasts submitted.
-Tennessee and Auburn add 247Sports Crystal Ball juice regarding the nation’s top-rated athlete according to 247Sports in Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage standout Torrance Gibson. Gibson told 247Sports insider Ryan Bartow on Tuesday to lower Ohio State to warm and raise Auburn to warmer, shortly after the Buckeyes picked up a pledge from four-star quarterback Joe Burrow. Gibson remains a top target for all three programs mentioned, with Ohio State leading the way on the Crystal Ball with 40 percent of the 35 forecasts. Gibson recently named Tennessee his leader, and they hold 29 percent, while Auburn has 20 percent heading into his upcoming visit to the Tigers campus. Wouldn't be surprising to see the pulse change to Auburn following that trip.
-Florida insider Luke Stampini placed a Crystal Ball for the Gators on Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde Top247 passer Sheriron Jones two weeks ago, and in the last week the meter has shifted completely towards Gainesville. Jones will visit Florida in early June. The Gators are currently fielding 71 percent of the 21 predictions for the nation’s No. 5 dual-threat quarterback according to 247Sports, with Arizona holding the rest of the pulse.
-Ole Miss insider David Johnson was first to Crystal Ball the Rebels for Wynne (Ark.) High Top247 quarterback Ross Trail, and now Hugh Freeze and company hold the lead on the former Louisville commit’s 247Sports profile. Trail visited Oxford in March and April and plans to return in early June for camp. If all goes well, the Rebels could add a pledge from the country’s No. 8 pro-style passer.

Next Man In For Alabama
The Crimson Tide landed a Memorial Day weekend pledge from yet another four-star recruit in Hale Hentges, giving Nick Saban and his staff 16 commits in the 2015 class, 13 of which hold a Top247 rating or better.
Who could be next for Alabama, as the Tide are on track to reign in the nation’s top recruiting class for a fifth-straight year according to 247Sports?
Florence (Ala.) High linebacker Keaton Anderson isn’t a bad bet.
In the last week, BamaOnLine insider Charles Power started a huge wave of Crystal Ball momentum regarding the Crimson Tide and Anderson, as Alabama has shot past Tennessee, currently holding 60 percent of the predictions. Anderson wants to make a college decision in the next couple weeks.
Another potential name to keep an eye on is Columbia (Tenn.) Central Top247 tight end Jackson Harris. The last two Crystal Ball predictions for him have been for Alabama, however Georgia remains the huge leader with 72 percent of the forecasts with Vanderbilt running No. 2 at 20 percent of the 25 predictions.
More Of The Same
•Florida now holds all 43 predictions for the nation’s top offensive tackle Martez Ivey.
•The Gators now claim 86 percent of the forecasts for the nation’s No. 2 strong-side defensive end Byron Cowart.
•Alabama is up to 97 percent of the 39 forecasts for the country’s No. 4 defensive tackle Daron Payne.
•Missouri is now seeing 90 percent of the 31 forecasts for Top247 in-state receiver Alex Ofodile.
Notable Picks
•Georgia insiders Jake Rowe and Rusty Mansell were first to peg Gledale (Calif.) C.C. four-star cornerback Dante Shipman to the Bulldogs after he picked up a recent offer from Mark Richt and his staff.
•247Sports national insider Ryan Bartow was first to throw in a forecast for LSU regarding the nation’s No. 3 tight end according to the 247Sports Composite in Devonaire Clarington. The first 15 predictions for the Miami (Fla.) Champagnat Catholic standout were for the local Hurricanes.
•Mississippi State insider Paul Jones fired in a Crystal Ball prediction for Signal Mountain (Tenn.) High tight end/offensive tackle Harrison Moon as they battle Georgia Tech among others.
•AuburnUndercover insider Keith Niebuhr has added a prediction for the Tigers regarding the country’s No. 2 offensive guard Javon Patterson, as Auburn creeps closer to Ole Miss on the Crystal Ball. The Rebels have 56 percent of the 16 forecasts and the Tigers have the rest.
•Ole Miss insider David Johnson is one of the latest to Crystal Ball the Rebels for Many (La.) High offensive guard Garrett Thomas. LSU is the current forecast leader but the Tigers haven’t offered. The Crystal Ball has also picked up in the last week for Ole Miss regarding the nation’s No. 3 tight end Will Gragg. Arkansas still holds 50 percent of the 20 forecasts for the in-state standout but the Rebels are making a move.
•Gatorbait insider Luke Stampini added a Crystal Ball for Florida for Tampa (Fla.) Wharton receiver Auden Tate. Michigan currently leads the way regarding the forecasts with South Carolina and Florida State also being on the board. Many close to the situation believe Tate will stay in the Southeast when it’s all said and done.
Weekly 247Sports Crystal Ball Results
It was fun to track the Crystal Ball for Hentges on Sunday. When he reported that he was going to announce his college decision that evening, all 85 percent of the 34 predictions for the Crimson Tide came in or were flipped in the hours leading up to his announcement.
Texas A&M offered linebacker Riley Garner on May 15 and all nine predictions on the Crystal Ball were true when he committed on last Wednesday.

I would be fine with Eason in 2016
Especially considering we got QBs transferring out now
I would take Dormandy but with his style it seems he's much more interested in other schools and vice versa
Not sure even with Kiffin if Sills is a real chance or not

I think that if we are going to take a QB just to take one it will be Sills.
He won't scare off Eason.
Just my opinion of course.

Agreed
I am not sure any one would scare off Eason, he's a beast and like Mag said(on the money) the connections are being made for 2016 now

Charles Power sent me a message last night that he expects us to sign one in this class still. Sills makes the most sense now.
