So apparently Tim Settle is pissed that he lost his 5th star:

What recruiters were responsible for the most NFL Draft picks over the last three years? Here's your answer in part four of this series. I like to call them the "Recruiting Assassins."

quote:

LANCE THOMPSON
Thompson has been an assistant coaching veteran in the South since the late 80s. He spent most of his early coaching years at Georgia Tech under George O’Leary. He then had coaching stints at Alabama, LSU, and Central Florida. Thompson spent three seasons at Tennessee before returning to the Crimson Tide for the third time. In this exercise he recruited players drafted from both Tennessee and Alabama. Thompson had drafted players earlier this month that he was responsible for in Daniel McCullers (Tennessee), C.J. Mosley, and A.J. McCarron. In 2013, he recruited draftees D.J. Fluker and Nico Johnson. In 2012, Thompson recruited picks Malik Jackson (Tennessee), Mark Barron, and Trent Richardson. That’s an impressive list of drafted players over the last three drafts for this Alabama linebacker’s coach.

You know Waller is black and Town is white right?

I thought he decommitted because we haven't had a black QB since Zow.

From the UGA recruiting thread:

quote:

Dallas warmack on UGA

Per Rusty Mansell

On Georgia“I have a chance to start freshman year at center. They don’t have a lot of depth there right now.”

Official visits will be big in the fall, Warmack says, and he has a few schools he knows he will like to visit.

“Georgia, Auburn, not sure on Alabama, I have been there so much,” he said. "South Carolina, Ole Miss and maybe one to the west coast, like USC.”

Having an older brother that has been through the process, Warmack says the two talk often about it.

“I talked to him a lot about it, he just tells me to stay focused on my grades,” he said.

There may be some jabbing from the older Warmack if in the end he does not end up at Alabama, he says.

“He would make fun of me for a minute. But he just wants me to be happy,” he said.

There is one other Atlanta-area player other than Patrick that Warmack says he wants to play with on the next level, and that is current Alabama commit Jonathan Ledbetterfrom Tucker.

“It would have to be Jon. He is amazing. He is so big and fast,” Warmack said. "I talk to him a lot. We have a group message between me, Natrez, Chauncey (Rivers) and him. We talk like every day.”

I don't like the sound of that last paragraph. I know Ledbetter is technically committed to Bama, but does anyone really consider him a commit?

Mixed views on Warmack. some think he is soft and nothing like his brother. I would hates to lose JL more than DW if what people on this board say is true.

Top junior college offensive tackle Dominick Jackson has been hard at work in the classroom the semester. The 6-foot-7, 304-pounder finished up his classes earlier this week.

"This is my second day of no school. I’ve just been working out and patiently waiting," said Jackson.

The Bay Area native will graduate from College of San Mateo on Friday, but still has to have his grades posted before he gets the green light to join the Crimson Tide.

"Summer school (at Alabama) starts Monday, so my coaches are pushing to get my grades posted early. With the NCAA rules, I can’t leave until I get my AA (associates degree), which I’m getting tomorrow (Friday). I’m just waiting for the grades to be posted. So far, so good."

Gotta think that Bama, Iowa, ND and Ohio State are in there. Don't know who the 5th school will be though.

Alabama: “Not only have they won as many championships as they have in the past five years, also when I went down there the players were real genuine and they’re having fun, People would think when they’ve won as many National Championships as they have, that the guys there and Coach (Nick) Saban would be like robots, but down there they’re loose. They do take care of business but they’re also loose and it was cool to see.”
