Last week saw Alabama offer LB/H-Back DeAndre McNeal of Mesquite (Texas) Poteet. The rising athlete says that he and his teammate, 5-star LB Malik Jefferson, will visit Alabama in early June during the Tide's first camp session.
McNeal, who calls the Alabama offer 'gigantic' says that the pair also plans on visiting Ohio State, UCLA, and Auburn. Aside from a trip to Ole Miss last summer, the vast majority of the teammates' visits to date have been to in-state programs.
Jefferson's Crystal Ball is currently split between Texas A&M (72%), Texas (24%), and Baylor (3%). With McNeal, 88% of the picks are in favor of Texas Tech, with the remainder going to Ohio State.

5-star OLB/DE CeCe Jefferson spoke with 247Sports' Chris Nee about recruiting and gave his thoughts on the Tide.
“Titletown. That place just knocks me off my feet every time I go there. My goal is before I commit to take my mom to Alabama because I am always telling her how nice it is. I want her to see how everything is so beautiful and brand new. Coach (Nick) Saban and Coach (Lance) Thompson are great coaches. The Alabama defense is something that is always good. I think I can see myself fitting into that. I think I would be like a 3-4 linebacker at Alabama. I know they are trying to get more speed up-front.”

I would like to help but I only post when I am drinking.
If it gets too slow I will pick up a couple of tall boys and close the office door.

Can we discuss Cocaine until TS gets home at 2?

Here is a thought for ya TS. Last week I went to a Kindergarten graduation and tonight to High School Graduation for my youngest daughter. Me at kindergarten, talk about being on the island of misfit toys.

15' TE Jackson Harris
quote:
Over the weekend, Vanderbilt hosted one of its top targets in four-star tight end Jackson Harris. With Harris zeroing in on a decision, it was an important weekend for the Commodores to make a move in his recruitment.
"It went real well," Harris told 247Sports. "I got to stay with some players and had a great time."
The visit went well enough to move Vanderbilt into Harris' top three. The Columbia (Tenn.) Central product noted that the Commodores are in his top group along with Alabama and Georgia. Georgia recently hosted Harris on a visit and Alabama is up next, followed by a decision.
"I'm visiting Alabama June 5 and 6," he said. "Hope to decide shortly after."

So apparently Oregon has two qbs transferring out: Jake Rodrigues and Damion Hobbs.
So after Mariota leaves, Oregon has two quarterbacks: Jeff Lockle and 2014 4* QB Signee Morgan Mahalak.
All that to say if Oregon offers Waller, it would be hard for him to turn down.
So it looks like Francois may not be announcing at the Opening. Oregon fans see this as a good sign:
Waller said that the Oregon staff has told him that if he were to be offered, the offer would come in May. Waller wants to make his decision by August.
Per the Oregon site, Kyler Murray has been in contact with the Oregon staff because he is concerned with backing up Kyle Allen. The Oregon staff had moved on before Kyler Murray initiated contact with them once again.

According to some notes from AJ Jacobsen who spoke to Deondre last night, Oregon is definitely in his top three, he'll visit this summer unofficially, he won't commit at the opening as previously planned, and was quoted saying that JRod transferring "gives Oregon a leg up." He's also suppose to talk to Frost tonight

I say we focus on Dormady and call it a day. But it would be nice to get Waller though, I just think they will end up offering at some point.

Some Bama related quotes from Bryson Allen-Williams recruitment:
Kiffin
quote:
Which school finished second for you?
“It was tie between Georgia and Alabama. Both of those schools did amazing jobs.”
quote:
Funniest memory with Nick Saban?
“I don’t think he said anything too funny to me. We were in some golf carts, and it almost crashed. He almost went off on the person who was driving the cart. But he (Saban) was laughing, and he told us how he had his own lake in his backyard at his house. But there’s another good story related to Alabama. USC is 3,000 miles from here. My mom paid for us to go out there last year during spring break. I went out there to UCLA, and I spent the whole day with Coach (Jim Mora and his assistants). I went to USC, and probably talked to (Lane Kiffin) for five minutes and then he left. So we were like ‘One of the top prospects from the East Coast takes the time to visit you, and then you only stay for five minutes?’ Coach Kiffin is at Alabama now. When I went on my official visit to Alabama, he was like ‘I am so sorry about that. I hope you don’t take that out on Alabama. That was totally my fault. I had a lot going on.’ That was just so funny to my mom and I. We still laugh about that today.”
Kiffin
quote:
Alabama didn’t send you a letter of intent?
“They knew from earlier. When I called Coach Smart to let him know, it was like he already pretty much knew. He was like ‘I feel like South Carolina is the best spot for you anyways right now.’ He said ‘I would love to have you here. You’re a great player, and you have a great future ahead of you. I can really see you at South Carolina. You’ll strive at South Carolina and be one of the top players in the SEC at South Carolina.’”
So Kirby Smart was pushing for you to go South Carolina over UGA?
“I don’t know if it was that. But he told me that I was a good fit for South Carolina, and that South Carolina was getting a really a good player.”
