I know that. I was criticizing the headline of the article not yours. Though I do feel
You could've said Ridley never said that.

Dont worry about the title, it is what it is. You just brought it here, the way it was written. Thanks for sharing it.

Any WR worth their salt would be upset.

Exactly. He showed some frustration at times but I guarantee he handled it much better than most of us would have

When you give a 100% and you aren't getting looks, it will eat you alive. I'd be a maniac towards Jalen, I admit it. I'm sure I would apologize later, but I'd lose my shite

In the right offense, Jalen would be hell. Auburn, Ohio St would fit him much better?

Agreed 100%. Luckily the barn is not an option unless he wants to sit for 2 years. I have to assume if he were willing to transfer that urban and Herman would be the first 2 to give him a call. He couldn't take Texas to the next level. Personally I'd love to see him redshirt this year and work on passing everyday. Forget the playbook, taking off when he's pressured and the qb competition. Learn how to throw accurate down field passes. If he could get that down he could be Lamar Jackson good.

Houston might make a run at him if he transfers. I hope he doesn't. Having a backup with all of his game experience is so freaking valuable.

I say Houston because of the offense they ran with Herman and the fact Jalen is from that area. I have no idea whether they kept that offense with Applewhite

Exactly. He never had a "Dez or Owens" my moment on the sideline. If he has an attitude problem why was he never in Sabans doghouse? I know Boz has said he does and Boz is very accurate but Boz is also very protective of his friends on the team. Y'all should've seen him defend Sims at every turn on Wooly. What probably happened and is likely why Boz has said this is Ridley chewed Jalens arse in practice. I got no problem with that what so ever.

I don't think Houston could get him. If he leaves the big schools are gonna come calling. Thank God for the 2 year rule of you transfer inside the SEC. otherwise he'd be a Vol, Gator, or Barner.

Damn, I didn't even think about him with Dan Mullen. Mullen would use him like Dak. Dak was a better passer but Jalen is a better runner.

Like I said, thank God for the 2 year rule, because Jalen with Mullen or Gus would be terrifying.

Yeah, we know. We've discussed that after Auburn game, after the championship game. Ridley had attitude problem all year long...and he didn't help at all.

But if it was that obvious to everyone including some of us ignorant fans that our passing game consisted of 1 WR running routes and everyone else was out there for window dressing and/or as a decoy, why the hell didn't Dabol realize it and coach around it?

"Jalen, I know you stare down #3 every play and so does everyone else in the stadium. Do me a favor and glance at Calvin, but then find Jeudy. I promise you he will be open, just throw him the damn ball."

I'm not saying make him read the whole field, we all figured out he couldn't process that quickly enough. Leave him with the single or double read, but rotate it around. Let Calvin be the decoy. Is that so hard??

You nailed it. Ridley's body language throughout the season was "damn Jalen, pull the trigger son, we are running around wide open".

He might have tried but Jalen just couldn't adjust. Maybe, Jalen could nail everything in the qb meetings and then mentally lock up on the field. I think we should have run more RPOs with Hurts, but I think Saban wanted to get away from that. I blamed Dabol during the season, but as I look back, maybe it's Saban's fault. If Dabol really wanted a QB change earlier in the season and Saban wouldn't allow it, then Dabol was basically handcuffed.

I can't blame him one bit. Like I said, he handled it much better than I would have. I would have blown up. I'm sure people would have said I was selfish, but I wouldn't have blown up for selfish reasons. You work your arse off and if someone constantly doesn't do what they are supposed to do, anyone would snap.

I disagree. Jalen couldn't run Auburn's hurry up. He is too slow mentally. He peaked about 2/3 thru his Freshman year. I'd be surprised if any top tier Div I school would want him as their #1. He'd be an alright situational option at best. The overall talent around him made him appear way better than his talent at QB.

As long as the OC can design an offensive passing scheme that removes any decision making by #2 then success might happen. #2 needs to break the huddle knowing full well who is going to receive the pass.

That would be no offense that throws the ball vertically. Georgia Tech? Maybe. Hurts would have been a helluva wishbone QB.

The bottom line is that in the 2nd half vs. UGA, Foster, Ruggs, Sims, and Smith were all dangerous threats downfield. That tells us all we need to know. The long ball to Sims was a helluva throw and catch that was just out of the end zone.
