You might as well save your breath talking to the "BuT iT's VaNdY" crowd. They run on pure emotion & can't put anything into context. Same people who expect perfection out of Kalen Deboer while they memory hole the fact that Nick Saban made his fair share of mistakes along the way.

I'm sure you noticed these people that called KD "soft" & "weak" went silent after he lit into Roq Montgomery's arse up 34-0.

I’d like to see him light up a captain’s arse when they screw up.

Alabama was completely unprepared for Vanderbilt and the staff was out coached.

While true, we got them early, and NO ONE was prepared for that Vandy.

Part of my definition of "prepared" is making sure you don't have two guys with the same number out there to receive a punt. That lack of preparation by our coaching staff literally gifted Vandy a touchdown.

What I would have liked to see would have been DeBoer out past the numbers screaming at him to get his arse off the field. Kicking the ball was bad enough. Waiving off the sub that was sent in was inexcusable...and when I say inexcusable, I mean standing there on the sidelines like you're Moore's helpless bitch.

Vandy didn't complete a pass in the 2nd or 3rd qtr yesterday.

I agree AU was much better prepared defensively and had a good game plan. The game was at home for AU vs on the road for Bama. However, Pavia and the RB were not 100% like they were against Bama. Also, Bama coming off that emotional high vs. UGA (in a game that ended around 11 pm local time) had an impact as Sunday was shot for the players and coaches. Meanwhile, Vandy sat at home rested and prepared for Bama for 2 weeks. I know its Vandy but they were much more prepared and it showed, also think this Vandy team is solid on both sides of the ball and have the best QB its had in years.

That narrative came from pundits using the recruiting classes the returning players came in with. But once the players get on campus and start competing all the recruiting evaluations become irrelevant. What someone does in HS doesn't automatically mean they will be a stud in college, regardless of the coach or school they sign with.

This team, regardless of recruiting rankings, had a lot of warts last season and was taken to the wire multiple times by "inferior teams" and that was WITH Nick Saban as the coach.

Our performance against Vandy was inexcusable. Our reliance on a poor QB to continually play hero ball as the basis for our offense is, also
the offense was fine against Vanderbilt, except for some milroe mistakes. They scored 35 points in 17 minutes of possession. The defense was the problem that game, I don't think Vanderbilt punted the whole game
