There are exceptions, I think, so I’m pretty confident it won’t effect us.

I can tell you personally, that of this moment, Alabama still has some live classes and "hybrid" classes that are partly face-to-face and partly online as well as some totally online ones. Unless Alabama does an about-face on classes, they are fine even with that rule.

I'll say this: I've talked to people all over college athletics the last few weeks. All levels, football and basketball. There is far more optimism in those people that we'll figure out a way to play games football + hoops - than most in the media would lead you to believe

To be clear: There are hurdles and concerns. Games will be postponed or cancelled. That's part of the "new norm." We've talked about it for months, and have to accept it. But smart people are advising these schools and the kids will be safe. I truly believe games will be played

A source tells ESPN that the NBA has sent emails informing select players they've been selected to attend the NBA Combine, with a disclaimer that no decisions have been made about a date, format, location, or even if a Combine will actually occur.

The NBA is asking players to complete a pre-Combine questionnaire before July 31 and promises more information regarding the date, format and location of a potential NBA Combine "as those details become available."

The NBA says that the Combine has been postponed "due to the evolving coronavirus situation." Also says that the purpose of this email is "to notify you of your standing invitation as the league office continues to monitor the pandemic," and consults with various experts.

I don't have an official number, but based on which players I'm told have and haven't gotten emails, I'd guess that around 60 invitations went out today. Likely more can/will go out as players decline their invite or fail to respond by July 31st.

This is good news. Even if combine is not held, knowing whether or not they would have been invited to the #nbacombine may help @NCAA college players with their decisions to withdraw or stay in the #nbadraft. It’s rare a player not invited to the combine actually gets drafted.

I don't even know whose mascot that is. Is it Wofford?

Yeah, just saw the Tweet on Javian. That's so Alabama basketball: transfers to a rival SECW school so he can be a thorn in our side at least twice a year for 3 more seasons.

It still hasn’t been leaked that he got a combine invite. I’m trying to remain pessimistic, but I’m starting to feel like he might be coming back.

That list was just the ones who received votes. We don’t know yet if Petty received one.
