@AlabamaMBB head coach @nate_oats on Keon Ellis:

"His offensive game is great. He makes three's at a high clip, drive the ball, finish, high-skilled. He and Petty are similar size. Trying to sell that the two of those guys are two of the better two-way players in the SEC."

"Everything looks good, surgery went well. Starting to get him in weight room now in some limited stuff. Want to get some weight on him while he's out. If we can get him bulked up, maybe to 240, 245 pounds we're going to try.

"Off the court, high IQ. Good leadership skills and he speaks up. Petty and Herb have been here, they're trying to step up. He helps them.

On the court: Passing ability is at another level. he can make guys around him good.

"Clemson in Atlanta, I like playing an ACC team in non-conference. Furman almost beat Auburn at Auburn, they gave us a good game here. ETSU is one of the better mid-majors in the country. Not one easy game on the schedule, which is good."

Ellis reminds me of Latrell Sprewell. Sprewell could run the court, take it to the rim, or pull up from the corner.
Ellis might be a little flashier, though.

If his anywhere close to Sprewell, Look Out!
