Was the SEC overrated? This isn’t a troll or anything. Honest question. Or has NC State just peaked at the right time

I know that State is still in the winners bracket

It sure how the Milford Daily News knew about this back in May and nothing from the sources that cover Bama on a daily basis….

Big week for Seidl brothers: Tommy to play at Alabama; Billy to start Duke's ACC tourney opener
Tim Dumas
The Milford Daily News

He was once “a thorn” in their side.

But that same team hopes he will bloom in his new role.

Tommy Seidl will again wear Crimson. Only this time, the Wellesley resident will do so far from home in one of the country’s most competitive conferences.

Seidl, whose Harvard University baseball career was limited to two-plus seasons due to COVID-19, will continue his playing days at the University of Alabama - the site of his most impressive three games as a collegian.

The outfielder visited the Tuscaloosa campus over the weekend to make it official: the former Crimson is now a member of the Crimson Tide.

Seidl attended Bama’s 7-3 loss to No. 6 Mississippi State on Saturday and is looking forward to the move up to the Southeastern Conference, which boasts six of the top 12 teams in the most recent Baseball America poll. (Arkansas is No. 1; Alabama is unranked).

Valley League from June 13th)

Hitter of the Day
Today’s HOD is Strasburg’s Graham Crawford, from Pearl River on his way to Alabama Tuscaloosa (and NJCAA All-American), who went 2-5, with a run, double, home run, and two RBIs. He got his first two hits of the season last night, but because of his eye at the plate, he has a rather interesting .143/.429/.429 slashline after 14 at-bats.

Has Jackson Tate left the program? I haven't seen anything other than a poster on BOL mention it when we got the Harvard transfer. Do we have a list of guys that have left?

Jackson was a senior — he was honored on senior day. Not sure if he plans to take advantage of his COVID year or if he’s moving on.

The only two players I’ve heard of as moving one are TJ Reeves (going to Jacksonville State) and Will Patota (haven’t heard if he’s found a destination).

Senior day at the Joe - Jackson on the far left:

Dylan Smith posts breakout junior season
quote:

The decision to attend Alabama has paid off, as Smith has developed into one of the top pitchers in college baseball over the last three years.

“As I look back on high school, I wasn’t really a pitcher,” Smith said. “I played center field in high school. I only came out of high school with about 40 innings of pitching my senior year.

“So a big thing for me in college was the development and being able to focus on pitching. I have been able to develop here at Alabama.”
