Alabama made the Elite 8 under Gottfried. We will be back there soon. Alabama has way more Bball tradition and success than Auburn.

Not anymore. The Final Four is the be all end all for programs after National Champions.

This mark puts Auburn over Bama in basketball for the time being and it's truly tragic as we've been able to hold that mark for years.

As a US Soccer fan, this is like watching Mexico make the semi-final, with us sitting at home and praying to every God and spirits above that they DO NOT WIN IT ALL.

So does that mean that Loyola-Chicago, South Carolina, Wichita State, VCU, George Mason, UNC Charlotte, Memphis State, etc are all better basketball programs than Alabama too? They all have a Final Four. Maybe they are. I'm not sure one Final Four does it though.

Yes. The absence of a Final Four at all has become a bit of an anchor on the program.

We certainly will. It will give us something to wax poetic over if another shitty season comes down the pike.

I feel like there's a solid chance that this whole deal will end up having a negative effect on Gus's job security

Bama fans: Here's hoping Oats turns out well for y'all. I want this rivalry competitive on the big stage

This has turned into the basketball version of Craig James' dead hookers. Pearl's had one NCAA issue - lying about a cookout.
