The final SEC play stats for @Jocelynbriski:

1.69 ERA, 13-2, 3 saves, 95.0 IP, 71 h, 27 r, 23 er, 15 BB, 104 K

A few of the conference awards are up in the air. Pitcher of the Year shouldn’t be one of them.

UT as a team has an ERA of under 1.50. I bet it is still in doubt.

USA TODAY Sports Network released its All-SEC softball awards Tuesday, with Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy selected as its Coach of the Year and junior pitcher Jocelyn Briski as its Pitcher of the Year.

Murphy is in his 28th season at the helm of the Crimson Tide, owning a 1364-404 (.771) all-time record at Alabama including a 508-207 (.710) SEC record. He became the first coach in conference history to earn 500 SEC wins this season, reaching the milestone with a 4-0 win at Auburn on April 11. Alabama, which was picked ninth in the preseason SEC coaches' poll, enters this week's SEC Softball Tournament as the No. 2 seed.

Briski, who was also a unanimous selection for USA TODAY Sports Network's All-SEC team, has earned three SEC Pitcher of the Week awards this season and is a Top 25 finalist for USA Softball Player of the Year. She owns a 20-2 record across 28 appearances in 2026 with a 1.46 ERA and 167 strikeouts. Her 9.82 strikeout-to-walk ratio ranks second nationally, more than twice as high as the next-highest ratio from any SEC pitcher. She owns top 10 wins this season over Florida State, Arkansas (x2), Texas and Tennessee.

I didn't know that Aubrey Vandagriff was 5*Brock Vandagriff's younger sister. He played for UGA and then transferred to Kentucky and got injured during the season.

Down goes Frazier. OU was up 5-0 and lost 10-5 so the one seed is out. Win today VS UF first though.

The Southeastern Conference announced its postseason softball awards Friday, with Alabama junior Jocelyn Briski selected as the SEC Pitcher of the Year and head coach Patrick Murphy earning his league-record sixth SEC Coach of the Year accolade.

Briski's Pitcher of the Year accolade is the eighth in Crimson Tide history, the most of any SEC team, and the first since Montana Fouts in 2021. Murphy's six SEC Coach of the Year accolades are also the most in league history, previously winning in 2006, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2019.

Additionally, Briski and Brooke Wells earned All-SEC First Team honors while Marlie Giles and Alexis Pupillo took home All-SEC Second Team accolades. It is the first career All-SEC accolade for all four players and improves Alabama's all-time total to 123.
