That kid is just a damn winner, pure and simple. Stuff like that and throwing that block on the reverse just endears his teammates to him even more. That is absolutely his team now, and you know the veterans love him already. Don't be surprised when he's Rookie of the Year this year and has a Super Bowl ring by the end of year 3.

Rookie QB performances so far today:
Mac...21/26, 185, 0-0...winning.
Sunshine...12/28, 99, 1-1...losing.
Wilson...11/18, 99, 0-4...losing.
Fields...4/9, 55, 0-0 winning, did not start.
Lance...hasn't played, Garafalo winning.
And, just for laughs:
Burrow...14/23, 128, 0-2...losing.
I get that it's still early, and lots of Mac's success will come from being in the right place and the right system with talent around him. But Mac may very well have been the most NFL ready of the bunch. I don't understand why the 49ers spent the #3 overall pick on a guy they didn't need right away, or why the Bears took Fields who is clearly not the QB Jones is.
Even though he was the 5th guy drafted, he clearly is positioned to have a far more successful rookie season than any of the others.

Don't know why the 49ers traded 3 1st round picks to get to 3 in last year's draft when they could have Fields, Mac or Lance where they were especially to your point if they didn't plan on moving on from Garappollo. That is the issue with the 9ers the wasted draft picks, the pick is basically irrelevant. As much as I love Mac no one should have given up that much draft capital for the QBs in this class.

Again, we see why the Patriots are the Patriots, and those other teams aren't.
